meh. I wouldn't say it's really bad, and I wouldn't say it has no advantages, but I would say that the manner in which he went about it is not the usual useless question type thing he does as scum (see Organic Chemistry).

I've got a fairly decent townread on him at the moment for the fact that he seems interested in the answers, rather than just making town noises. Know what I mean?

BBT's interactions with flubber were actually interesting. The kind of thing you expect a scum partner to do when he knows its too late. But again that was what I thought at first.

Why wouldnt flubber self hammer if that was the goal"? Then again BBT might have wanted the town cred. Again this can only be explained by isoing him.
