Who do you think would veto you and why?

Anyone who knows us (Antihero, TSO, you, and apparently anyone else here who knows AP) and for the reason that AP is not only a good scumhunter, but a very strong player who can easily lead the game, and as Anti has put it in the past "who the herd will follow". Personally, I think I'm a fairly decent scumhunter, and AP and I work pretty well together. I don't know the last time either of us actually made it to LYLO as town.

I don't think lynching the person that most people think has been veto'd is a good strategy at all. I think scumhunting is a good strategy. I don't disagree that the person most likely to be veto'd is a "safer" lynch, but I do think this is a last resort kind of condition when evaluating who to lynch for the day.

Will file away for further analysis later if necessary. Looking at this post in that light doesn't really make this seem like a chainsaw, but I suppose it could be a response to the specific vote and not the act of sheeping.

AP then explains the other two, as requested, and TSO responds to BBT's request to discuss why TSO/Flubber is not a viable partnership. First of all, why would you ask someone you think is scum to explain why they aren't partners with someone? It's not a stupid question, but it's directed at the wrong person. TSO's response could easily be interpreted as scummy, since it inherently comes off as defensive and distance-y but being that it was prompted by BBT, I'm inclined to disregard the answer entirely.

I also like his response to her second point about "voting x/y/z", though not as much as the other stuff he's posted.

So that is the extent of the interaction, as I see it. I come away from this with less of a townread on TSO to be honest, and more affinity for 142, which I initially didn't like on gut.

I had a talk with Antihero last night and it was very edifying. He said that his scumhunting strategy hinged on the setup. In this case, scum have to push lynches on certain people they know at the beginning so he was looking for anybody who seemed to be too aggressive too early for bad reasons. With this mindset, I can now very much see what Anti disliked about Flubbernugget.

I would actually be inclined to think the opposite - scum don't want to get caught shoving lynches on Chosen Townies and are probably more likely to avoid doing that unless somebody else kicks up the pressure first. Of course, this quickly becomes WIFOMy so I wouldn't really read much into hunting via setup spec regardless.

I'm going to disagree with the Flubber read. All of his posts make it pretty clear that he's looking for something and contributing the opinions he has confidence in. There are still a few things that stand out, for instance, 106 seems a little appease-y and the "ZZZX is chosen" comment is still baffling. But overall, looks mostly town.

As far as the catch up post, he said he would do it, and then he did. And I actually like the catch up, though I disagree with a lot of the conclusions.

I also think he's a naturally awkward poster. All of his posts have the same consistent tone - not just the ones responding to interrogation.

If he had a few posts before saying that, I could've potentially bought it but, even then; scum can easily force comments like these in an attempt to look like town. Overall, I think his opening is just null, and if anything, it's leaning scum.

AP is legendary for his waffles, so the abrupt 180 doesn't really bug me, but 'inane shit' is something I've seen AP regard as a towntell before and TSO was hardly obstructing discussion.

254 has AP calling TSO scum by POE, which is interesting given how many nulls and waffles he's had and that it's day 1. He also draws associative tells with Josh as evidence. Josh is unflipped, which make those tells meaningless, but AP still wants to lynch TSO. Faulty POE and associatives are very easy cases for scum to push because their target cannot defend against them. Calling scumteams on day 1 is silly, using associatives with unflipped players is silly, and wanting to lynch TSO based on the assumption that Josh is scum is daft.

260 is a rehash of "you're scum because josh is." AP is avoiding interactions with TSO, and simply trying to push the lynch.

Re: LC - I'm surprised that they do not seem to have any problem voting a wagon their strongest scumread is voting.
