Spoiler: Basic Rules

General Rules:
1. Site Rules apply.
2. You may quote your role PM, or anything sent to you in

tags. You may not quote anything else, and you may not quote the time at which I sent you something.
3. Indigo is the colour I'll use to post vote counts, edit things into other people's posts, etc. Do not impersonate me.
4. If you have a question or concern, or if you think that I may have made an error, do not hesitate to ask in-topic or by pm. Be sure to bold requests directed at me so that I see them.

Voting, Lynching, and Deadlines:
5. Votes must be bolded. You may unvote by typing

. Some mods require you to unvote before changing your vote; I do not.
6. Once a lynching majority has been reached, the game will go into twilight. Twilight will last for 24 hours from the hammer vote. During this time, you may continue to post, and you may send in night actions. If you have access to a night-only private topic, you may use it during twilight. At the end of twilight, the game will enter the night phase.
7. You may also vote for no lynch to happen on that day by typing

Vote: No lynch

. A no-lynch only requires a 50% vote to go through.
8. Each game day will have a deadline equal to 7+(living players) days.

Night Phase and Actions:
9. The night phase will last for 24 hours from the end of the twilight phase. During this time, the thread will be locked.
10. You may not use an ability on yourself unless otherwise specified.
11. If a limited-shot ability fails, the shot is still used.

Prodding and Stuff:
12. If a player fails to post for 48 consecutive hours, he will be prodded. If that player does not post for another 48 hours after he's been prodded, he'll be replaced.
13. If you are going away, or if you have limited access to the site, notify me by pm or in-topic so that I know not to prod or replace you. If you're going to be V/LA over the night phase and have a night action, you may send in your action early. The maximum amount of time you may go without posting due to V/LA is 120 hours (five days).

Abnormality: How closely your role follows the Normal Game Guidelines.

This influences the type of role you may receive, but not its power. ZERO abnormality will give you a Normal role with no modifiers, FIVE abnormality will give you a role with a mixture of Normal and non-Normal elements, and TEN abnormality will give you a non-Normal role with one or more non-Normal modifiers. Unlike Swinginess, your chosen abnormality rating will affect only your own role.

Swinginess: How much of an impact power roles have on the game.

This influences how powerful your role may be, but not how normal it is. A game with ZERO swinginess will focus mainly on voting and lynching, a game with FIVE swinginess will include roles that may significantly alter the game's course, and a game with TEN swinginess has the potential to end on night one. At least SIX swinginess is required for a game with more than one anti-town faction. Unlike Abnormality, all players' swinginess ratings are averaged to give a single rating that is used for every player in the game.

Role: Who or what you want to play as this game.

Pick a name for your role, and I will try to give you abilities that fit with the flavour. Keep in mind that if I am not familiar with your submission, the amount of detail I put into your role will be directly influenced by how much information about it I can find online. Alignments are distributed randomly and are not affected by your choice in role name.

When you sign up, please provide me with a list of your desired Abnormality, Swinginess, and role.
