Hi FA, Wolf here. You will be put in the queue as a newbie and then when you get put in a game it will be announced here and you'll get a PM from the mod and you just confirm your role by PMing the mod back and you can start as soon as the game thread is unlocked in the Road to Rome.

@Mina - the List of players waiting for games says it's updated through this page and Equinox's "/in to mod" post but I don't have a response from you on my IC post and I'm not on the list. Did I do something wrong?

You have to send her your last 5 completed games, she'll review them, then send you an email about being an IC, and then put you in as an IC. This process sometimes takes a little bit.

New players will probably want to start playing one game here before playing elsewhere on the site.

Reply in this thread indicating that you'd like to play ("/in for next" is a standard way of doing so).

You will get a PM from your game moderator when your game is about to begin.

Your name should be added to the first post within 24-48 hours. The waiting time for a game to start is currently 2-3 days, on average.

I've completed one newbie game, one open game and one micro game.
On the basis of micro games being counted as half a game, am I still eligible to /in as a newbie?

Yep, you're allowed to /in as a newbie. The rules for determining newbie vs. SE status may change in the near future to be less complex, however.

Also, we URGENTLY need ICs right now. I have one I'm reviewing, but we have almost enough newbies for three games. If you think you can commit to playing a full game, now would be a great time to join. (We've had a problem with ICs flaking with no explanation from games recently, which sets a terrible first impression and can get you banned from ICing).

Read the qualifications. If you've been here more than 3 months and have 5 completed games-at least one of which is a newbie and two of which are outside Road to Rome, you /In IC here in the thread, then PM mina with a list of your 5 completed games-meaning they are done and not ones you've replaced out of. She will review your games and if you are accepted, you will get a PM from mina and be placed in the queue.

Just to be pedantic, one doesn't have to wait to complete two Newbies before venturing into other queues.

This is absolutely true. You can play in other queues whenever you feel ready. Some mods will require you complete a game here or require you have two completed games before joining one of theirs so I always recommend if you are brand new to play at least ONE newbie game first but you technically do not have to.

Also, if you ever want to replace, just PM the mod if they put a request up here for replacement and ask to replace in. That will be quicker than inning to replace here as most mods don't go looking for that and will accept PM's instead.

You can play a game outside Road to Rome and then in to SE here.

When you finish any three games, with at least one outside of The Road to Rome, you are then considered a Semi-Experienced (SE) player and will occupy one of the SE playing spots.

SE players may play in as many Newbie games as they can handle.

Syren: If you can't get ahold of Guy In Freezer, you can always PM Mina or Singersinger in this case who filled the games, and ask.

They usually go up within 24 hours of filling in general but it depends on a few things.
