if at all possible, me & some friends i invited over to play a game would like to join a game together.

thats why i said if at all possible because they're all newbies to the site and id rather not see them discouraged from playing even if it means not playing with them.

sure, just wanted to set your expectations.

if getting them a proper newbie experience is of the most value, use this queue
if playing together is of the most value, maybe all sign up for something in Central Park (Open setups) together, usually pretty accommodating for newer players.

i thought about that, but tbh there's a lot of interesting personalities. the people i'm inviting have the impression that a lot of the players here have a god complex, and i want to show them just how a game usually runs. newbie queue was my best bet, but yeah i get what u mean.
