If only a nice, comfy sheep had been there to break my fall when I sneezed and tripped over that tree stump last year. I was on crutches for months.

This is much more interesting than just finding a way to make a random vote. This restriction is already changing my play in ways I hadn't anticipated.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

I'll take Beastcharizard and Bookitty for town, much like I took several Lego bricks to the bottom of my foot when I tripped on that banana peel the other day. I really should stop leaving those things on the floor. Both of those things, in fact.
Not a big fan of ika's somewhat face-first entry onto the F-16 wagon.

Votes for TierShift for tunnelling are ridiculous. Scum actually have incentive not to tunnel, here, as the restrictions make it harder to push through the bullshit and forge a coherent wagon. I also think NS's consideration of the daycop is at best naive, though I'm not convinced that he's not just being bad. I hear he's the kind of guy who'd set his eye on fire by overvigourously lifting a lit candle.
I do think we should get more votes on ika. Bad entry onto a wagon and here-but-doing-nothing in general, the exact sort of play I'd expect from many scum players in this situation.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

I'm sad that people are shooting down an ika wagon before it can really get going - more than anything, it was his reaction to a big early push that I was hoping to see. Of course there's not much on him *now*, although it's been a bad start, but it's frustrating that there doesn't seem to be much curiosity in this game.
notscience's vote on Beast is well-intentioned but not one with which I agree, and AP's sheep on it is kinda lame.
F-16 (whom I'll take as town all day for last page): I've actually forgotten the reason why I put Beast as town in #82, though I agree with you that he's got townier since. It was probably for the tone of his vote on TSO, which could be restriction-affected but I dug the certainty with which he voted somebody who wasn't already a leading wagon. I liked Bookitty's early consideration of the gamestate in #61 and signs of trying to work out people's motivations such as in #65.
Not been as active in this early stage as I'd hoped as it's much harder to post in this game from work when each post requires careful thinking to ensure that the restriction is met. Normally, when at work, I'm even clumsier than usual, if you can believe that. This one time, I was reaching for the Backspace key and ended up prone on the floor with orange juice all over my shirt. I don't even know where the orange juice came from.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

Hello. Sorry I forgot to mention in advance, but I spent most of yesterday attending an all-night movie marathon and most of today recovering from it. Funny story, while I was stretching my legs in between Thor 2 and Cap 2, I accidentally leaned too far over the seat in front and fell headfirst onto a disgruntled fellow moviegoer, fracturing my pinky finger when hitting it against her surprisingly thick artificial leg.
Anyway, I'll be travelling until the evening tomorrow but after that I'm off for a couple of weeks so will have plenty of time for this game.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

I've been sitting on the couch on my ipad rather than on my laptop, which doesn't lend itself well to long reads of the thread and analysis, so sorry about that. I will be sure to get out the big guns this evening - please hold me to that.
This one time, I was cooking an omelette and accidentally pressed my face into the scalding frying pan while trying to see what heat looks like. It wasn't cool. Literally. Maybe that has some relvance to this game. Maybe it doesn't.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

Saying this as someone who's only just skimmed this page and hasn't read up since before the modkill (which I'm about to start doing right now): while a death-by-infraction tactic might be legal, that doesn't sound like a way in which I would want to play this game. It may not be against the spirit of the game according to the mod but it's not in the spirit of how I play. Not going to judge others for a willingness to do so but I absolutely don't believe that it should be considered alignment-indicative to object to such a thing (if that is indeed what is happening here).
Anyway. I'd better run and read up. Better not run too fast, though, as I have a tendency not to see where I'm going when at speed. Lost count of the number of lampposts into which I've run over the years...#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

A collection of thoughts:
Bookitty is obvtown. TSO is almost certainly town.
BRantz is town; I liked his wall here and I also think that his early interactions with F-16 are unlikely for a buddy. He sheeps the Nacho vote (which at least tells us that no more than one of BRantz&Nacho are scum but I think is particularly unlikely for a scumbuddy to jump on as the second vote at that point, and then quickly comes off when F-16 starts being weird about proxying his vote. I think a buddy would be along for the joke more fully, not turning it around on F-16 at the first sign of fuckery.
Katsuki->Metal Sonic is just one of the all-time worst slots. Heads-up; I wouldn't have signed up for this game if I knew that Metal Sonic would be joining it and will probably be ignoring him 99% of the time.
Nacho's Skrew vote is pretty good and I'm definitely considering coming on board with it. This almost-negligible presence is not what I would expect from townSkrew. I have seen him play scum more actively than this, though, so it's not necessarily a slam-dunk, but that was in Listen Up Mafia which in a lot of ways should probably be treated as an exception.
AP is at least having interesting opinions here; think scum are more likely to go ahead with the prominent people declaring massive townreads on Bookitty.
At best, this is a criminal lack of effort from Espeonage, who apparently considers having a flipped scum not worth anything above "RVS" levels of interest. This from a player who pretty much ignored the fuck out of F-16 and events involving him.
This is not the response for which I was hoping from AP to Bookitty pointing out what looked a legitimate point about inconsistency in his treatment of ika. I thought that the pointcouldhave been explained in a way which I would have accepted, but that explanation did not appear so made me unhappy. Not sure how much I balance this against his Bookitty read a moment ago.
Nacho is correct that this is bullshit from Tiershift.
Slight not-buddy ping on ffery here.
At this point, given that F-16's wagon was not being talked about because he had disappeared, this doesn't seem like a point at which scum would bus, so I'll take Muffin for town.
Not knowing F-16 very well, I couldn't get as many reads out of his big string of individual reads posts as I had hoped, but tentative reactions are that TierShift and Nobody Special are less likely buddies for their treatment here.
However, this seems to foreshadow an ika townread if and when he turns up again while acknowleding the fairness of the votes at the time... think it's plausible ika buddy material but aware that it could be confirmation bias.
-------
tl;dr:My top suspects at the moment include Espeonage, Skrew and ika. Bookitty, BRantz, TSO and probably ffery are all town, at least. AP is a possibility but I think I'd rather go elsewhere for the time being.

Your fferylt vote strikes me as the posturing of scum replacing into a suspected slot, trying to take on a difficult target.
And believe me, posturing is dangerous. You wouldn't believe how easy it is to get your legs wrapped around each other and tumble into a puddle. I've been there.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

Accusing me of chainsaw-defending somebody and then voting for me rather than the supposed target of my chainsaw defence doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Why did you vote for ffery, Titus?

That isn't a sufficiently good answer. You formed the two reads having presumably read both of our isos at the least so you cannot have missed that aspect. Tell me how it factored into your reads.
As my most recent big post would indicate, I'd still be happy with an ika vote. I moved to Espeonage because it was a larger wagon on somebody I also suspect, and I moved to you because of your entrance on top of previous suspicion of Skrew, plus the fact that a big wagon was coming together. I'm not yet dissuaded from voting for you but if a larger ika wagon were to form, I would go along with it, and keep my fingers crossed that I wouldn't righteously headbang against a wall in my enthusiasm, as I have been occasionally known to do.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

You are a mink trying to drive a bus. You will crash.
Scum always have an excuse not to vote their buddies.
While I enjoy the no-win scenario in which voting for ika now would be construed as an attempt at appeasement and staying the course only further 'proof' that he is, in fact, my buddy, I'll be keeping my vote where it is for reasons stated. By all means, continue attempting to build a wagon on him, though.
Your declaration of an attempt to stir up quick reactions rather than necessarily believing strongly in your ffery vote rings true enough, though. I'll have to go back over your entrance into Orient Express to see if you did the same there.

I'm concerned about what you think of me because you're scumreading me, which is wrong, and I want to know whether or not that's going to be a problem.
But the reason I'm pressing you on it is that you insist on not commenting on my interactions with ika despite simultaneously scumreading us both, which is the sort of thing that I struggle to understand as coming from a town mindset if you're actually seriously considering me as scum.
That is an accurate reflection of my current stance on ika, as I can only vote once at a time. On this Day 1, I will be voting for my most-supported scumread until such time as that applies to somebody else.
I typed this post while walking across the room to the sofa. As I now write, I am somehow inside one of its cushion-cases. Don't ask.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

I know this isn't the only thing on which I should comment but not much time right now so, AP, I don't know why you'd find it strange that I should engage with Titus over a few posts in a row unless you expected me to average one post per three pages for eternity. It should be noted that a lot of my earlier posts weren't directly engaged with like Titus responded to my vote and the fact that I was still around allowed me to get stuck in. Surely you must have played with me enough before to expect me to get into a conversation here and there, especially when my alignment is being questioned.
I guess the tl;dr is: what on earth were you expecting?
Also to be noted is that I didn't townread Tier in 126, I just though the vote on him was poorly justified and I stand by that reason.
Ika's 'reads list' reads like somebody who tripped on the edge of a Twister mat and dislocated all their arm joints on the fall to point at random colours. How does ika not have a read on me, for example, when I've been pushing his wagon? Also extremely put off by his 'can't be bothered to do anything until day 2' bollocks. If that's true then you should have signed up as a replacement only rather than to play from the start. Don't be a prick. Play to your wincon.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

Checking in to express my continued enthusiasm for an ika lynch and my general confusion at the disappearance of people who aren't already particularly involved in his wagon. Also one time I upended a pitcher of hot gravy (yes, a pitcher, it was a big dinner) all over my arms. Maybe that's relevant. Maybe it's not. Who can tell.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

I fell pretty hard on ika just like I fell down those stairs last night, that wasn't something? I agree that I've been pretty focused in terms of my targets and what I talk about but I'd argue that a) this unwieldy PR promotes a smaller concentration of posting, b) what I've done has been the right things.
On Titus, I went in harder than I would have in retrospect, but I already suspected the slot due to Skrew's actions. I saw something I half-suspected about Titus's entrance and I pressured it. I've played games with Titus more than I have with a few of these players so I hoped I might gain something from her reaction; mostly I think I let my pre-existing scumread on the slot dictate the tone of those posts, though. Looking back, especially with ika's scumflip, I do think I look a little silly. Certainly not suspicious of Titus now. So that's the tone. I can appreciate that the volume of posts compared to my previous activity looks distorted but really I'd just put that down to the two of us being on at the same time, which hadn't been the case before mostly due to timezone stuff and specifically not with a discussion I'd brought up myself.
That's how that went down. I thought it was kind of obvious. Your read of me just seems kinda paranoid.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

Ugh, sorry, life has been kicking my backside for a few days and a catch-up for this game keeps becoming slightly longer than I have time for at any given moment. I'll look over the last few pages for NS and Brantz cases during this evening - any helpful links to the best reaons to vote for either would be appreciated.

Wow. I didnotcompute that this game was moving so slowly; I ascribed way more time in my head than would actually have been needed to catch up in-between stuff before.
Read the last five pages and found them fairly unremarkable. Looks like NS got some flak for this, which is undeniably awful but not something that really suggests to me that he's more likely to be scum than town, and that he's the leading wagon now feels like a case of 'eh, dunno, this game is flagging so we'll just lynch the weird guy who nobody really gets'. I think I'd like to look elsewhere if we can.
The post that most made me want to do something was this from Bookitty, which made me more interested in an AP lynch than I was before.
I'm also still against a BRantz lynch.
Going to have another look over ika now for plausible buddies. Maybe we got lucky and he shot himself in the foot with that gun all the scumbags like to keep loose in their trousers.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

As one of only two people (with NS) whom ika said were scum in his only post of analytical worth - his reads list* - I think he's a person of interest.

Acknowledging that we are likely only looking for two more mafia here and that we've already seen two town flip from his four "meh"s, my instinct is that there is a maximum of one scum in {Muffin, BRantz}. Similar deal for {AP, Bookitty}. If there's someone vulnerable in his three non-him "town" reads, it's probably beast->mollie. His Titus read is probably something that he would do regardless of her alignment, I'm thinking.
My gut's also starting to murmur that, given the approach that ika seemed to take to this game, actually naming a Nachobuddy as scum might be something he'd do (given that it is usually quite hard to lynch Nacho, I think the temptation to IDGAF buddyscumread him would be there).
Also I think that his forgetting to put a comment for me is an indication that I'm not a buddy, for what it's worth, as it's my belief that the first thing scum do when making these kinds of lists is figure out what they're saying about their buddies. But then again I can understand why y'all might read that as a figurative banana skin, in contrast to the many literal banana skins on which I slip daily.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

Well, I wasn't expecting a BRantz scumflip - my powers of deduction may still be a bit hazy after I walked into that wall last week - but pretty hopeful that we should be able to break this game over our knees after that. I'll be working and travelling most of tomorrow but will be isoing him plus all the buddies over again either late tomorrow or on Wednesday.

Hello. Given my defence of BRantz and my lesser degree of engagement in this game than some other players, I'm fully expecting to be lynched Today and, given that there's probably only one scum left, I'm not going to worry too much about letting you guys get that out of the way, as there's a good chance that I'd be dragged along to LyLo from here.
I certainly want to nail down who I think the last scum is before I die, though, so a little time would be appreciated.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird

I've reread the first 23 pages looking for people who knew that F-16, ika and BRantz were scum, and signs of who those three knew was the (likely) fourth. I'm not stopping here, but I am writing up my notes now as I'll be out this evening and I don't know if I'll be all done before I have to go.
People I'm ruling out as a buddy
Bookitty:Went after F-16 early and intelligently. F-16 tried to cast doubt on her during his big series of reads posts, which I don't think he would do to a buddy given that there wasn't any suspicion on her. Bookitty went in hard on F-16 again. Near end of Day 1, focuses on ika and BRantz specifically as two clear suspects - doesn't make sense for a buddy.
ffery:Did scum get pregame talk? If so, I think ffery not knowing F-16's post restriction is a town tell. F-16 looks like he's trying to manipulate ffery by calling her town and then playing off her predicted reaction to it. Generally ffery seems inquisitive re: F-16 in encouraging ways, later puts ika in a pile of people who should be dealt with.
I also think that the way in which both BRantz and ika put both Bookitty and ffery as solid townreads in their reads lists is kind of an admission that there's no point trying to get anywhere on them.

In this first half of the game, the only one of the remaining four candidates to make a serious impression on the game is AP, and I'm also fairly happy that he's town.
AngryPidgeon:Listed here a few townreads, none of whom are scum ... from what I remember, he does like to call at least one buddy town, which makes this a townping for me. BRantz null-towned AP but in a way that looks like he just wants a bit of room to vote him later if needs be.

UT's slot is the one on whom I got the fewest notes in this period. It's all notscience over this time, and there's not a great deal of interaction either way with the flipped scum. I thought it was interesting that BRantz positioned himself in such a way that he wouldn't vote for UT until after 'a Katsuki scumflip', which is the sort of thing that I've done to protect a buddy in the past. Here notscience rather half-heartedly scumreads ika, and also has a pretty unexciting townish read on BRantz. So at this point I'm seeing more reasons to suspect UT than not.
There's almost nothing of Titus's slot while Skrew is in the game. I found his peripheral activity as scummy on reread as I did when I voted for him on Day 1, and the fact that both F-16 and BRantz somewhat spuriously voted for Skrew is also suspicious. Titus does eventually land on an ika vote after replacing in but I still think the entrance is weird and I still find her manipulation of me re: my ika suspicion skeevy.
There's definitely also reason to suspect NS. Look at how F-16 treats his BRantz buddy here - while his previous reads posts have been a lot of definite 'I have a scum read for this' or 'town read for that', he doesn't get definite on BRantz, only asking for explanations for things. His NS post follows the same pattern, seeking clarification and wondering out loud rather than actually taking a stance either way. I also think that NS's approach to the Bookitty-F16 debate is a strange one, focusing only on Bookitty and on a weird note of 'communication issues' ... really? I didn't notice a serious one. BRantz also townreads NS pretty unimpressively for a lame post.

While acknowledging that I still need to reread over a third of the game, I'd be tempted to vote for all of the above. Given Titus's heavy push on ika after replacing in, I feel like I'd rather not leave that WIFOM over whether or not she'd do that to a buddy until LyLo so my instinct is that we should start there of the three plausible scum. But I'm also pretty proud of my point about how F-16 treated both BRantz and NS so maaaaybe I'd say that NS is actually the likeliest scum. But it's not a strong preference.
The rest coming either later tonight or tomorrow.#greenshirtthursdays- ChannelDelibird
