Each race likely has some attributes by identifying town attributes you determine who to kill first.

I think those wanting vig shot are tunnel-visioned on the best case scenario... it landing on a player equipped to use it.

But then, what if it doesn't? I can think of a couple people (myself included) that I wouldn't want to have the vig shot, especially in the early game.

It's a double-edged sword, but it seems some folks only want to look at possible benefits without considering the drawbacks of a bad vig.

It's not like the vig can out themselves and ask for advice & protection... there's no doctor!

Regardless of whether we buy T1 or T3, T2 should be tomorrow's vote. If we luck out and land a doctor, our first PR can out themselves for conf town & ask for protection. Though how we'd know without exposing the doc, I'm fuzzy on. =/

From what I can tell only the person who gets equipped finds out what we got so a follow the cop strategy doesn't work.

There's obviously some of this coming from town as well, but I wouldn't be shocked if there were at least a couple scum among those against it.

If scum can get these powers they would be pushing for the vig shot as well. It would essentially guarantee victory if they have two night kills

I have a theory about you. My theory is as follows.

You have two possible positions in this game. You are either a

very

controlling person, someone who feels like a natural leader enough to direct townies. This has an obvious drawback of seeming like you're leading the townies to where you want them, as in to herd the sheep before the slaughter. However, this could just be you as a player, and could be attributed to harmless confidence.

However:

You make very coy statements like:

This indicates to me that you're attempting to arouse curiosity en masse, appealing to our natural inability to resist things that are curious. You really are trying to lead us, to get us in a position where you scum can kill us. But why? If you really are scum, you'll be blown the minute bankai dies and is a townie. If you're trying to pry information out of him, you'll still look bad when he dies innocently. That, or you are framing one of your own to win our trust.

So my analysis says:
Probability of being a townie and trying to cover your ass: ~15%
Probability of being a townie and just being over confident or controlling: ~10%
Probability of you being a scum to lead us into killing an innocent: ~30%
Probability of you framing your own to win our trust: ~30%
Margin of Error: ~15%

Unless I am missing some alternative situations, I think you there is a ~60% chance you are scum, and ~40% chance you aren't.

A townie is only slightly more likely to push scum than scum is. If you want to lynch everyone who is wrong scum will win quickly.

Actually, you are coasting. Here's a run down of your reads.

Oh yeah, my buddy, the one who just got really critical of me. I think it's apparent that everyone is very wary of me. I understand, my artificial and patronizing tone (coined by elusive) is probably intimidating.

But when I flip townie, you'll be under the spotlight. And so will your scummy friends. Besides, I'd be willing to bet that if I survive, and you die, and I was right, the trust level between myself and my fellow townies will grow tremendously. This is also scum. The argument that town should be consistent is false. Townies don't know who the scum and town are so their thoughts will evolve and change and not always fluidly. So pointing to confidence and consistency as a town trait is pretty scummy especially while at the same time scum reading someone for doing the opisite of your behaviour.
