While you could mitigate the chance of Zoraster getting put on a scum role by putting a token on it if you want, you can't assure it.
This was explicitly one of the main reasons I played Team Mafia the first two times so happy to be modding since I no longer get to be conftown

I don't know that I like the idea of trying a new open setup for Team Mafia; feels like part of the appeal of doing opens for TM is to get something that's been field tested.
To that end, I think my suggestion is Chosen Mafia. I'm digging the 50-50 win rates, and searching for mafia tells of knowing who the chosen are seems like a good way to engage the whole team.

I like getting nk'd N1 when I'm a VT, it's basically my favorite thing to do and it helps my faction win. I'm never going to be the standout hero of a game where I got shot N1 though!
