There is a way to be over-leveled, which means you can achieve a level higher than your max level cap. You will not know what ability you get upon being over-leveled until you have reached the over-level. This is rare and may not happen in this game.

I planned this whole spiel about how I'm glad I rolled town (note: this was before we actually rolled town) because I'm only here for certain parts of the playerlist and I'm using Doduo as some sort of mafia faith healing method to try and rekindle my confidence/enjoyment of this game and well I think you actually got the whole spiel so whatever.
