We've moved on from our policy lynch onto a wonderful scum lynch! Yay!
what a load of tripe. have you ever thought a sarcastic opening comment and joke might be more indicative of the type of person I am rather than the alignment?
↑ Gorkington wrote:also, vezok being so angry comes across as being fake.
he should stop doing that.
that's twice i've also thought this. the man needs to chill out.
do scum have daytalk? this feels like it could be a warning to vezok but meeeeh.
↑ vezokpiraka wrote:Mac wagon doesn't really cut it for me. It still seems like shakira is the likelier scum with a mac scumbuddy.
ehhh what? haven't you just said my wagon isn't good and then that i am still likely scum?
or am i misinterpreting that.
shakira wrote:Initial response was offhand comment shaking it off, second response was a scum "just in case" damage control post that, while it tries to keep the tone light and sarcastic, its own existence shows scum instinctively taking vezok's post seriously to curb early suspicion out of necessity.
it's a joke. the joke gets lost if i say it and then make a snarky reply in the same breath. there is no afterthough, there is no "just in case", there is no damage control.
just some poor comedy. i'm sorry if that offends you.

I am heading out for weekend V/LA soonish but can a man explain why he feels that slot is found scum? Because it's not a strong town read but I am getting a slight town read on that slot personally - I thought his response to Ank at 148 looked relaxed, his demotivation at 151 looked genuine, and I liked his probing of Shakira at 160 and of Wickedestjr at 176.
What are you seeing that I am not seeing?
wicked wrote:Leaning scum. I agree with your point w.r.t. his sarcasm and also got a bad feeling from reading his last post.
cool. what about my last post gave you this 'bad feeling' that you speak of? I feel like I shouldn't need to really ask for this, but whatever.
associations before a flip, good stuff. where are you at if (when) I flip town? what is cerberus doing then?

whilst this was and still is the case, I have explained it was a joke. it was a joke I'd make whether I was either alignment so it's really not something to be crying about.

No.
Scum hate being scumread for dumb reasons, and earlygame dumb/seemingly-unsupported scumreads. These are universal. Yes, town can hate that too, but they are also likely to just not care significantly more often than scum.
However, instinctive/basic scumplay is to try and shut early suspicion down quickly for obvious reasons (part of a more detailed explanation is because you don't want to have that kind of unnecessary baggage to carry on fighting against, but again, should be obvious reasons).
Here's how it went down:
91 is vezok making a(n oddly angry) remark about Mac bussing us.
92 is a regular flippant "lol fuck you idc" response. This would have resulted in me having a null to nulltown read on Mac had he left it at that.
However, his followup to that in 93 is massively scummy. It's scum making a damage control post, in case his 92 hadn't sufficiently handwaved away attention, or in case people would react negatively to 92's fluff-like dismissal of vezok's 91. (Imagine a celebrity actually taking the time to address a particular piece of tabloid gossip instead of ignoring it as usual - why even bother, unless that specific rumor actually has something true to it/worries you?) This was completely unnecessary for him to do as town, while him as scum had ample reason to make that post (again, damage control just in case vezok's suspicion there escalated or caught on to others).
already explained. 92 is not an idc post, it's a joke. 93 is an idc post. if i really gave a shit about what vezok said, I would've ignored it since, you know, it was an utterly ridiculous suggestion.
I'm not sure you are scum but you are overcomplicating something so simple to suit your view that I am scum doing X because I'm... panicking about a shitty accusation 4 pages in?
you've literally just watched my scum game; what similarities are you seeing between pokemon and here?
i am wondering why cerberus is hard defending me though. whilst i don't think my originally posting was as bad as is being made out, i don't think it warrants this level of defending that i am being blessed with

UNVOTE:
i'm about to catchup so i'll see where my vote lands after that. from my very brief skimming i haven't liked the metal sonic half of sonic boom (not read titus' posts and to be honest, i'm not sure i'll get a read off titus) mainly because from when he tried to convince everyone to vote zzzx, it reminded me of metal sonic from the pokemon upick we just played. i don't know how much faith i have in my own read though, since this would involve ms playing the same way with two of his scumbuddies from pokepick. meh. we'll see where i end up in an hour or so.- Mac

You complain that the Mac wagon has so much resistance, but look at the icky counterwagon forming. Yeah, on us.
Follow your conclusions to the end.
haha.
using the fact you are being wagoned as reasons for you being town. that is absolutely awful.
I think I like cerberus for town. he seems quite agreeable, and i don't think that is coming from new-to-the-board scum. he doesn't seem afraid to question people either.

@Ika- In this game, more than others, I will treat quickhammering as a scumclaim. The inventors have to give away their items during the day, which means that ending the day early can only hurt town. You can have the hammer. Sure. But we need to have at least 24 hours warning before the end of the day phase, and I'd prefer the day to last at least 10 days even if we catch scum to give the inventors time to decide their targets.
I suppose that isn't only important to ika, but hey. It seem's super important with him in the game.
I'm basing this on being an inventor last game (haha, I won the game for town) and majiffy's hammer on day 4 or whatever. Super frustrating, and I doubt anti will be that nice twice.
what happened wrt majiffy/anti?
also, 413 looks town. it wasn't something i had considered either, so thank you for pointing that out.

I'm confused; are you calling me scum? because about five pages back you were townreading me and i hadn't really posted since then soooo??
i'm not sure i like the man trying to twist gorkington's replace out as something scum would do.
feel like this is a bit of a backtrack from "gorkington's replace out is kinda scummy" to "well, maybe we shouldn't talk about it." it's completely possible you realise this fact as either alignment and are just doing the right thing, but worth keeping an eye on.
wicked wrote:Feels like the post was meant to come across as pleasant / casual / avoid making a big splash. this conclusion about bins doesn't really make sense given the posts you've quoted? can you go in depth about it?
can't say i'm a fan of flubbernugget at the moment, despite the absolutely fantastic username.
i'm also fairly confident that zzzx is town from the baxk and forth with sonic.

you know genuine doesn't make them right, don't you? I mean, if you flip town we'll have your reads to work with but a townflip doesn't suddenly make you an absolutely scum finding genius.
your scumread on bins based on gorkington's replace out is SO bad - gorkington may have had personal issues, why does this make him scum? like seriously jaqen, you should never read someone based on a replace out.- Mac

A man is often catching out multiple scum D1 and you are knkwing this full well. And yet every game a man is playing with you, you go on to call his reads shit (in one way or another) and refuse to follow the lead because you yourself don't understand how to do that and are usually lynching some town instead. How about THIS GAME you reflect on a man's history of such and follow his lead instead of being a herpaderp do your own thing.
Also, if this one is town, why are you boiling down a man's reasons to scum read Bins to only Girkington's replace out when that clearly isn't the case?
if I recall correctly, we've played one game together? and I was in a hydra, and that was around the time I had RL issues and left the site. i'm not sure how i'm supposed to know or treat you as a scumhunting god, feel free to tell me otherwise.
if you give me a game where you called out every single member of scum during day one, I will sheep you and vote bins with you. and i thought that was your reasoning for voting bins, until now?- Mac

i think cerberus is town and any wagon that is on him is a pretty easy option. he seems to have a habit of overcomplicating a simple message he is trying to say and it looks really fluffy. his reasons for changing jaqen from town to nulltown above seem genuine as well. few other points that off the top of my head i can't remember right now.- Mac

i think, given the reasons behind this hiplop vote (it came in the next post) were that he was opportunistic and the wagon that had already been forming on hiplop, that this vote itself is also opportunistic and shit and making me wonder whether it's scum on town opportunism, scum on scum opportunism or just pure lazy town.

it's now tuesday, and i'm pretty sure you haven't posted any you scumfuck!!!
(note: since my humour has already been dismissed in this game, thisisa joke and i don't really care about your lack of whateveritis you were gona do to me - it's wrong anyway)
ehhhhhh
from 950-960, hiplop's points about tere were meh at best but tere's response was absolutely awful on the other hand. they make a smidgeon of sense but i'm not sure (given my experience with scumtere) that this is indicative of her scum game. i can see why hiplop may think that though.
tere wrote:My town and scum game is quite different and that's easy to find out with basic ISO research. I think they saw join date and thought they would be pushing lynchbait. Bad bad choice.
this is stretching the truth to fit your read on hiplop. not everyone finds a scumread and metas them to see how they act - to conclude that hiplop is pushing you because of your join date is nonsense.
for what it's worth, i'm not overjoyed by hiplop but i have moved my vote from him and onto shakira for reasons outlined above.
i see town intents behind this. i think the chances of hiplop, sonic boom and bins all being scum are slim as fuck and the fact hiplop chose to ignore both of those in favour of a fresh wagon does not particularly scream scum motivated to me.
↑ Cerberus v666 wrote:Hmm. After isoing, no objection to a hiplop flip, I don't have any partocjlar town feelings about him and the pace at which this jas developed when compared to the other wagons makes me more comfortable with this.

why does the pace of the wagon indicate scum, and why does "no particular town feelings" mean hiplop is scum and not null?

my two scents on mastin:
probtown for now, but i'd love for her to go into more detail on her read on me. < in anything goes, mastin townread me strongly until day 5/6 and managed to mislynch me despite the fact i was confirmed as not doing the kill.
that also still remains one of the most frustrating yet incredible (in terms of how mastin and katsuki won that game) plays i've seen on site.- Mac
