How to delete account

I want to start over. I've not made the best impression I wanted to make.

Should I just pretend this account doesn't exist or is there a way to delete it?

We don't delete accounts as a matter of policy (with rare exception). If you really do want a fresh start under a new name, your course of action is to create a new account and associate it as an alt, and only forum moderators will have access to this link.
