With the talk on ASP, I felt he was more inactive than scummy. If he's going to be this inactive, though, and with these shortened days, it may be a benefit to lynch him now.

Quote one game where a player whose MO wasn't asking for massclaims regardless of alignment managed to out a bunch of claims and then dominated as scum.

Not knowing this guy's MO, it was still a scummy move imho. Since I started playing mafia (even before playing here), I try to keep each day as a separate entity because I feel that people can/will change up their play.

I've taken a year and a half off, give me some time to relearn the game.

Don't understand why "I'll try to get people flavor from preferred games" means that you only get one per game.

To be clearer, the setup could be something along the lines of a uPick where we pick games, he gives us characters from games. Or he could have already designed the setup and game choices decide what characters and roles we get.

This is what I was thinking, too.

Xtoxm - I think that his "let's massclaim" "I was lying about my role btw" is something that's very very unlikely to be coming from scum, I guess I can get into this if need be but I don't really think it's something scum does. Like his immediate unvote of our slot and then pushback on our reads, and I like his expressed excitement about the game getting interesting. This is by far my strongest townread so it's the type of read I'm pretty surprised that people don't see; let me know if I need to make a big post explaining my reasoning in depth here.

I'm still fairly uncertain of Davsto and it concerns me that he has been the loudest voice for an ASP lynch from the start. I'm slightly worried that he could have gotten saddled with a lazy scumpartner, and is doing his best to bus/distance.

I'm glad you finally asked because I'm sure you can go back into my extensive history on site and see that I usually don't participate in the listing of town/scum on Day 1. Given how short Day 1 is in this game, and the fact that I haven't played on MS for almost two and a half years, it's taking me a little longer to get back in the swing of things. You could have just asked me from the get go, though, instead of the way that you just went about it.

If it wouldn't be considered OMGUS, grapes, for one, because of his sudden tunnel that came out of the blue. Knowing my own alignment, I can't help but think he's just trying to either buddy up or trying to help his buddies push a case so that there won't be a scumflip.

Other than him, I'm still not a fan of Davsto. I don't really care for how he replied when I questioned him, as he completely beat around the bush and did everything but answer my question. He hasn't impressed me whatsoever.

On SoS and Aj, they are of the very few that seem to be legitimately scumhunting and not jumping all over to opportunistic wagons. like, it'd be another story if she had an outstanding super town catch up but it was pretty lackluster imo - just a lot of empty comments and like no hard stances taken, in particular didn't like the super waffle on ASP (who to anyone paying attention to the gamestate is pretty much the likeliest wagon to get traction right now)

I think being a lightining rod in a game with a supposed vigilante will be hard, but meh.

Whoever he targeted, he prevents their actions, but also redirected any actions to that person onto himself.

Davsto says he targeted Vedith, which means that if he did target Vedith, then dongempire died in his place since Vedith is saying that he didn't have a BP to target himself.

Vedith says that he healed Xtoxm, instead of giving a vest. Further explanation in #539. We don't know if that action went through because there's not usually confirmation of receipt.

So correct me if I'm wrong, I needed to see the info all together for some better comprehension, the thought is that Knuckles was redirected to kill dong, which could mean that dong targeted someone that he felt was likely to be town and protected them, he targeted Dav and stopped his shot all together, or Dav was RB'd by Pepto/Fire?

Rather than acknowledge, he seemed to get really defense and tried to discredit my concern as a "weird semantics angle," which it wasn't at all, and then threatened me with "And I'll show you what a case actually looks like" (all found in #571).

2. I know the timing sucked when I got back to the game after the dayvig, but it wasn't to do with anyone calling me out. On a personal note, I have a fellowship in which I need to give a minimum of 20 hours a week. Real Life > Mafia is that unfortunate case there. My return to the thread as I was called out was just a horrid coincidence.

In #407, he calls me out again for not giving townreads, but after I give the list that he's been pining for, he calls me out for having a bunch of nulls because I don't know any of the player list. So I give him what he wants (a town reads list) and then it still isn't good enough because I don't know anyone well enough to have concrete reads. It's so hypocritical, it hurts, and why I'm already not liking this new mechanic of giving town reads because sometimes it takes me a day or two to get a good read on someone. It was that way even before my hiatus from MS.


Getting into Day 2, I felt I had a legitimate question about Dav, possibly, being 3rd party and wanted our town to consider it. I felt it was worth discussion, but there goes grapes with a further discredit of me....

My interactions with grapes, past RVS, haven't felt that great in the least. I feel his push on Day 1 is extremely opportunistic and not based on anything concrete. He could have poised any of his concerns to me and I would have responded, instead he said that adding pressure, rather than being direct in what he was curious about, is a better alternative. I don't feel that to be a very town play in a game where garnering information, and asking questions, is paramount.
