We're actually a day vig, we just need to use the phrase "bomb" specifically because we're Bomberman!
Metal Sonic wanted to ninjashoot Nosferatu which I think would be hilarious but don't think it's particularly healthy for gamestate, so we're gonna formulate stuff and then maybe take a shot, maybe save it for later. Probably save it for later.

I also think that it's probably best if we massclaim but will confirm/detract that when I've actually done some real reading; I think that because there's a vigilante claim that I don't think is scum, a weird whatever Nosferatu claimed, and a double day claim that this game is pretty weird but also that power will be decently spread out (I think this in the case in general with role madness games vs normal/less role madness games) and I'm also 90% sure that we will be able to kill at least one scum before night begins between my dayvig and doubleday. If you want to be a curmudgeon and not claim then but totally your choice.

How is this massclaim in any way useful for us? Except for, you know, letting scum know who the biggest threat is so they can be NKed.

Helps for reads, helps for coordination. Also helps scum figure out how to use their night actions, but if we can hit scum before we get to night we shouldn't worry about that too much.

I've taken a year and a half off, give me some time to relearn the game.

Let's just say this is not the only game I'm struggling in.

In the first completed game I have back as a replacement, i fucked up lylo and lynched a vi. The other replacement game, I came in, took charge and we ended up lynching some VI on a scum hammer. I got nk'd off and town just lost all motivation to post. My confidence so far is not producing results, but it's the style I've been choosing for lower-activity games.

My rationale for asking you to claim is not role fishing; my rationale for asking you to claim is that you're a scumread of mine, I think a quick shot would be good for flips, I think having you claim would help me get a better read on you. You can feel free to town yourself up now without claiming which is something I'm happy with: you have about 14 hours from this post to make me read you as town via other methods and not get shot, and "haven't read, have no opinions" is a way that doesn't help me read you at all.

Randommidget - I thought being the first person to claim seriously in the massclaim was townish. A Simple Plan - I thought that his initial vote for random midget while expressing that he didn't like breaking the games was pretty town because it's a ballsy as shit claim to make at the beginning of the game (game is broken, this player is scum, what we did to make the game broken is stupid). The thing that prevents this read from becoming a full town read is that he later unvoted for reasons I'm not really understanding; if he can explain this satisfactorily, will upgrade this.

SoS - We have a long drawn out dynamic with SoS that ends in me focusing on them harder than I do on other players. Not really confident or interested in talking about this read right now; doubt they're getting lynched today so probably not necessary anyways.

Davsto - Vigilante claims are something that come from town an overwhelming majority of the time IMO. I don't think mafia have a full vigilante as one of their power roles; if they do, I don't think davsto claims it off the bat.

Xtoxm - I think that his "let's massclaim" "I was lying about my role btw" is something that's very very unlikely to be coming from scum, I guess I can get into this if need be but I don't really think it's something scum does. Like his immediate unvote of our slot and then pushback on our reads, and I like his expressed excitement about the game getting interesting. This is by far my strongest townread so it's the type of read I'm pretty surprised that people don't see; let me know if I need to make a big post explaining my reasoning in depth here.

Dongempire - Also an incredibly strong town read, I thought his claim in and of itself felt town from how casually he claimed "we're mass claiming? ok, here's my role"; it felt honest and it came at a time where it would be safe for scum to disagree with massclaim and if he was feeling unsure he most definitely would have looked at what other people were doing and that was definitely saying "it's okay for you not to claim!". I like the way he's reading me; he initially had us as strong town and then decided we could be trusted if we hit scum. I like one other thing he's posted, will glance there when I'm back.

Noseferatu - The only point in his favor is that his role is scummy as hell, but if wgeurts didn't give him a role safe claim (which, since I remember reading wgeurts commenting on a Mafia Discussion thread that "fake claiming was half the fun" is doubtful), then Nosferatu could have just claimed his scummy scum role in thread and not realized how terrible it would sound.

I don't like his position on mass claiming; it seems like he claimed because he was forced to, then he outs that he disagrees with a massclaim for legit reasoning - don't see why this happens as town. His only inclinations towards scum hunting are in the early townread on Pepto which doesn't do shit for me and questioning SoS vote on us which also doesn't do shit for us.

A Simple Plan - I thought that his initial vote for random midget while expressing that he didn't like breaking the games was pretty town because it's a ballsy as shit claim to make at the beginning of the game (game is broken, this player is scum, what we did to make the game broken is stupid). The thing that prevents this read from becoming a full town read is that he later unvoted for reasons I'm not really understanding; if he can explain this satisfactorily, will upgrade this.

I doubt scum is going to do too much distancing; in a gamestate that is this stagnant, there's really no reason to bus.

Dongempire/Davesto are the only players completely foreign to me.

I do think it was foolish of Knuckles to use their dayvig on Nosferatu. There were much better options.

Didn't see them before. In retrospect, not really kicking myself over the shot all that much. Took a risk; didn't pay off.
In general, in a game state where wagons are not being driven but need to be driven, I'm much more amendable to voting anyone and pushing until a towntell; the only time when I trust townleans or anything beyond "decently confident town" is when enough people are engaged where the "decently confident town reads" are there because I can spend time sorting through their posts. This game isn't like that.

What? I mean, I'm being honest. xtoxm has literally no other reason to think the posts turned around other than starbuck hopped off his wagon.

I feel decent in my ability to read Starbuck/Xtoxm.
Everyone else I haven't played with enough to know if I read them or not.
I would say probably don't trust reads on Noseferatu!

You don't appear to have a scumread on ASP but you're positing Pepto as 2nd scum with scum ASP?

I don't have a read on ASP at this point in time, no, but having faith in townreads elsewhere means that he's a pretty solid choice for scum.

Xtoxm is playing a hell of a scumgame if scum.
Starbuck's last few posts are awesome, I really don't think she's scum.
Davesto probably isn't scum unless something is horrible wrong (or different!) about this setup.
Vedith is playing very well if he's scum.
You haven't yet slipped up if scum.

This is 7/12 players I'm happy with townreads on, add in town leans on grapes and a pretty confident townread on Midget and there's literally nowhere to go anymore.

Better way to word how I'm feeling is in a classic early Muffin sense: want another flip to confirm if the way I'm viewing the game is okay or not.
Another townflip tells me something is probably going horribly wrong. A scumflip means townreads are strong even if my scumreads aren't.
