Well, it has to do with why you are asking the question. It seems an odd question to me.

I assume when you said they are worthy of a vote, that you're getting out of RVS into serious territory, so I asked.
Once again, why would my question being serious or not affect your answer?

Seniors is a Hydra. That makes him just as good a vote as The Wrong Lynch for purposes of me taking a stand against Hydras. I was making a pun. I would have thought that was obvious (more right than Wrong?)

Maybe it's just me. I have never had a problem with hydras. Maybe it's because all of my hydra partners are amazing human beings and we always tried to communicate before throwing out votes to make the game as non-frustrating as possible.

I just really don't get the hydra hate. I just don't.

It's like hearing a broken record. Ever game people have issues with hydras, but then again it's either because they haven't played with one before or they get frustrated with trying to read two heads, I don't really know.

Maybe one day someone will give me the answer to why the hydra hates.

On Hydras:

So, my whole game is reading people. Getting into their mindset. Reading what they said before vs. what they are saying now. Then re-reading them. Finding the inconsistencies. And a lot of time it's tone. Hydras can just make that exponentially more difficult. Because they are naturally inconsistent and don't have the same tone from post to post. That's (a)

(b) is a principle thing where being in a Hydra can be an excuse to be lazy and not post because there's someone else to pick up the slack for you.

(c) Is me being the old man shaking the stick. When I started playing, there were no such things as Hydras....

I can admit about the hydra thing with the reading, but the way I look at is that I read the posts of the one head and then the second head as separate which makes it a bit easier to sort. (a)
(b) Not everyone does this. Sometimes people hydra for different reasons. Time limitations or they want to be in a hydra with that player. It depends on the player and why they are hydra'ing.

I think it was tictac that said my opening post was forced? I haven't been playing Mafia for a few months now so it's pretty refreshing to be back and I'm happy. So you can say it's forced, but it's pretty much not.

Also can someone explain the votes on the Piped piper? I'm not really sure that I'm seeing scum nacho or ploti tbh. It's a bit early to tell, but I really want someone to show me why they think they are scum.

I made a comment in my PT about bee boy and GM told me that it's just normal Beeboy, but the tunnel is getting old

Whats wrong with my fence? A miller CC is by no means a solid scumtell. I'm willing to give it a shot but it's pretty obvious that I'm not that confident in it.

In either case Ami has most certainly not claimed miller. She has implied she is the miller, she hasn't outright said it anywhere. I want a confirmation from her that this is not a gambit, because if it is then there's no reason for me to be voting Pistachio.

As far as other folks go then, I'd be delighted for you to nominate a person to have a take on, otherwise what do you think of the Nacho/Plot hydra? I like Nacho's follow-ups but don't feel like I could read Plotinus if my life depended on it.

I can pretty much grab scum-nacho pretty well. last few games we played before our break I was able to spot him pretty early on, plus then there's tammy who can also spot him fairly easy tooo. I also can't read Ploti so!

I just think it's odd that she's going to sort Nacho part of your hydra, but it doesn't seem like she has engaged him /yet/. It's also odd how she's not really going to sort you because she has two parts of the hydra to get an easier read on you both. It's just really odd and I'm not sure why it bothers me so much. I don't know why, but her playstyle is reminding me a mixture of three other players into one.

I don't want to go back and quote-stripe the last 21 pages, but here's a look at some thoughts I currently have:
I'm pretty OK with beeboy's Seniors tunnel because they looked 30000% like Midsummer. Don't know why it took Spiffeh so long.
Their p20 stuff kinda feels ok? I don't know. I really don't want a repeat of that game AT ALL.

On the Miller thing: it's weird that Ami didn't claim in her first post, almost like she was "wait[ing] until everyone else ha[d] posted so [she could] be sure nobody else [was] an actual Town Miller." I don't know if we've seen enough from either to judge which one (if either) is telling the truth.
Reading on, 355 doesn't make sense - if you're actually Town Miller, you can be 99% sure the person you're CCing is Scum, so why on earth would you vote anyone else?? And 357 strongly implies she knows pistachio is Town??? 365: "I think 2 Millers is not likely" YOU MAKE NO SENSE

Surely Ami isn't so new she doesn't know how many Millers are likely in one game.

Anyways that post wasn't made by Nacho, but that post was by Plotinus. The only reason why i know this is because of the game that Ploti referenced in a quote later on in this same post. It was a game that we hydra'd together before I decided to take my leave of mafia -- ( in fact I actually had semi took it during that game).

I've seen 2 millers before but I know that's probably not the norm, which is why I felt like trying out a fake counter claim would make for a bit of fun with potential telling reactions to sift through. From scum who would be much more likely to believe a Miller counter claim from town.

I don't get what you don't like about 357 and 365. I realize my credibility is already shot here but I don't think either was unreasonable from my POV.

Because if you were actually a Miller you've been around long enough to realize that 2 Millers is an incredibly unlikely proposition; pistachion would have been nearly confirmed Scum to you and voting for anyone else or putting forth the idea that there could be 2 Millers wouldn't make sense.

I'm willing to trust goodmorning on beeboy for now since she's played with him recently but it's ridiculous that someone has written over 25% of the game all by himself, and Tammy and pistachi0n are right that when you boil it down there's just not a lot there.

I mean, it's normal from him to play this way as either alignment, and he could pretty easily be bussing, but I don't really think he is.

I'm interested in your Mirhawk push. I was okay with their earlier posting, such as 82 and 93, at the time they were posted, but davesaz is a fairly easy target so I'm not as happy with those posts now as I was when I first read them.

I personally found his early posts felt too much like drive-by sniping. The questions were all pretty good ones, but none of them really felt like they connected with the gamestate at all.

The Miller stuff definitely makes him very likely to be Scum.

I really don't see how you're not understanding where Beeboy misunderstood my post. I don't like beeboys overall switching to whoever doesn't agree with him must be scum mindset. He's done it with me and he's done it with others. I was town reading Mirhawk in the early start of the game, then after the whole miller thing his response, his fence sit was terrible so I started pushing it. That's where Beeboy said I was fabricating a read on Mirhawk, but I wasn't. How am I fabricating a read when my initial read on Mirhawk was town, but my ending read was scum. It's called the progression of the game, scum hunting is another word for it. So the fact he took to say I was fabricating a read when I wasn't is in fact a misstep.

I hope you feel better soon! Regarding 397, Sakura has a lot more history with Nacho than with Plot though. You're right that she hasn't really reached out to us very hard yet. I'm hoping this will change when she returns from her V/LA. I'm willing to trust goodmorning on beeboy for now since she's played with him recently but it's ridiculous that someone has written over 25% of the game all by himself, and Tammy and pistachi0n are right that when you boil it down there's just not a lot there. I've been trying to think if this is how i feel about beeboy or not:

I'm interested in your Mirhawk push. I was okay with their earlier posting, such as 82 and 93, at the time they were posted, but davesaz is a fairly easy target so I'm not as happy with those posts now as I was when I first read them.

I like that in 117 they point out that being self involved isn't a scumtell because I agree that it's a humantell not a scumtell. I don't like that the rest of that post is semantics and also this post is defending Seniors from beeboy. I've been trying to figure out if Mirhawk is whiteknighting town Seniors or defending a buddy but there's been enough resistance to the Seniors wagon and if Mirhawk has prior experience with beeboy then Mirhawk might have been able to predict that beeboy wouldn't let go once he latched on. Mirhawk does confirm in 300 that they've played together before with beeboy.

I agree with a lot of the points that are being made against them, especially that they seem to be working from too much information. Mirhawk seemed to know that Ami was gambitting when the rest of us didn't and I wasn't impressed with their posturing around the claims, for example 349 and 350 just don't seem natural. Mirhawk first is suspecting that Ami is scum counterclaiming Pistachi0n which someone mentioned would be suicidal if they were scum and I agree and seems to already know that Pistachi0n is town but doesn't mind lynching them anyway. I agree with everyone who has raised these points.

When Mirhawk tried to push Ami to reveal that she's not really a miller, i was thinking that Mirhawk was distancing from her buddy's suicidal scumplay but I think it just makes more sense as a reaction test now that it's been retracted and both Ami and Pistachi0n are probably town. I think Mirhawk knew that they were both town from the start and has been doing a poor job of hiding it. I find it's a lot easier to spot a gambit when I'm scum because it helps that I already know the alignments of the people who are doing it, so it pings me that Mirhawk's first assumption was gambit and was trying to push for the gambit to be revealed before it was when it's better to let as many people react to it as possible. I think Mirhawk felt threatened that a number of people would look town via their reactions to Amihan's gambit and wanted to cut it off early.

Eh, I think there's more people deserving of votes or even scummier that I would rather lynch over a forced policy lynch. I'm okay with Mirhawk as a lynch and actually more recently I'd be okay with a FS lynch too. There's other players not really playing that are more of a /better/ policy lynch than Beeboy.

I missed that. As I said I been skimming everything and anything. I haven't gotten in touch to sync w/ gm, but I know she was reading FS as scum early in the game, but wanted to see if that was still standing. The only major thing I had against Ranger was that I felt she was really early townreading certain people over nothing. That's really not a *major* reason to lynch someone though.

TWL is a bit easier, Mala in my experience hates playing scum and fades once she's put down a few good town posts. I played with her in my first newbie where she was scum and have two or three times after that (at least one of which where she was scum in a hydra with plotinus). After a strong entry Mala just... disappeared. Ploti was always giving her excuses for it - and obviously that could *is* RL-related as I don't expect either of them to actually lie as either alignment - but the entrance here rings really familiar with that PlottinKittehs game for me. And it's just unfortunate that GM disappeared because now the slot is actually a placeholder.

So, leaning scum, but at the least want the slot to *do* something - even if that means replacing.

tictac's gut right now but I'll go back and have a look. Similar feels to Cakez, in that when I've scanned his iso there have been several things that struck me as more likely town than scum.
