Second newbie game together, this time we're both SE's.

Also, hi I'm a Semi-Experienced (SE) player. I have a few on-site games and off-site games. So I'm quite seasoned in the game. I'm sure IV is willing to help any of you out if you need it but I'm always here too, I'd love to give a helping hand if needed.

Mafia is an aggressive game, and sometimes I tend to get over-aggressive sometimes even though it's just a game. I want to warn you in advance.

ironstove is solid town, if he's mafia a big fat loss is something I endure this game.

With that said: Don't claim your role unless you're at L-1 (1 vote away from being lynched). Especially if the vote is in RVS. None of the 3 votes on you were legitimate votes and now scum have a better idea on who the PR's (power roles i.e. non vanilla townies) are.

Scum ALREADY have a significantly ENORMOUS higher amount of information than town does since they know everyone's alignment in this game. It's best to withhold as much information from the scumteam as possible (i.e. claims) or else that just makes their win a lot easier.

Anyways I actually agree more or less with all of IV's townreads thus far, however his vote on karnos looks a tad bit opportunistic as I feel karnos' post wasn't super alignment indicative.

I understand what he means by this tho. I've noticed in experienced that OVERALL (not all the time) scum tend to be a bit more tryhard than town because of several reasons.

1. Scum have to put up a fake persona. Town can be genuine and carefree.

2. Scum already know who's who so they have to create scenarios to make everyone believe that someone they frame is scum. Which involves more effort.

3. IMO a scum win is more satisfying than a town win. I've had an epic town win and an epic scum win on this site. I can say I tried much much more on my scum win but I tried really hard in both games. Anyways, being able to say "haha I fooled you all mwhahahahaahha" is much more satisfying than "haha i found you out better luck next time ". However this is just me.

How the hell did you get this? You're either a super-scumhunter, misguided, or scum. I don't see a single post of Skold's that is AI (Alignment indicative), given that they are ALL either RVS/contentless, or just talking about theory.

That is basically all Skold has done all day. Even I have done more than Skold by at least giving reads, helping out newbies to an extent, and asked some questions. We are still kind of in a weird RVS-to game day transition, so there's no way I'm going to be aggressive yet.

Subbing out is entirely NAI. It can be due to a few things.

1. Lack of ability to properly participate throughout the course of the rest of the game
2. Lack of desire to properly participate throughout the course of the rest of the game
3. Dislike of one of the players

My most recent Newbie game.

Performer was getting lynched in this game. He was scum. However, he didn't replace out because he was getting lynched. He subbed out because he had duties to attain to. If you dug through Performer's posts, you'd find that he subbed out in all his games.

Leroy subs out for reasons unknown. There's a good chance he subbed out because his fellow mafia member got lynched D1. (He turns into yours truly)

ProjectMatt: His slot had 4 different players. Lokomodive, Duppin, Garmr. All 4 of them were in the same slot. All 4 of them were scum.

Don't assume that someone subbing out is town, or should be town. It's entirely NAI and should not be analyzed.

1. Are you from EM? You've referred to me as "soda" aka the name I'm more well known by on that website as opposed to this one in several posts. If yes, who are you? If I know you I'll take account into any meta I may or may not have with you on that website to here and it might help your case.

2. The reason I'm tunneling you so hard is for 3 reasons.

a. Your instant, opportunistic push on karnos that doesn't look genuine.
b. Your tone when EnT said that he townread Skold. This seriously sounded like you were more upset that he TR'd him over you. Town shouldn't care if they're townread or not.

I think mori or karnos are good lynches for D1, I'm fine with lynching mori. Him and karnos are null reads but they've both been useless so far in the game and I'd rather remove the nulls beforehand in order to progress the game.

Do you think it's likely there was no scum on the wagon at all? Meaning both scum are among {karnos, Joushi, Enefpe no Time}?

I think the potential town cred of not being on the wagon is pretty much zero, while the gain to scum of getting an extra townie killed is rather significant, so my personal thinking is that scum were either already on the wagon or waiting and ready to hammer at the last minute.

Not being on the wagon I agree doesn't mean much, since the votes all happened fairly quickly after each other. That said, looking at who wasn't on the wagon leads me to believe that we had a 1/1 split. Enefpe really hasn't done anything to make him look more town to me, and the fact that he wasn't NK'd is pretty surprising to me. Number one scumread in my book. My earlier post on the Enefpe/Karnos scumteam looks all kinds of confbias to me now so I doubt his partner would be you.
