Which in my head is throwing off red flags because why as early as Day 1 do we need to have anyone make any claims to even begin discussion on who is scummy or not. Just DS' general actions so far in this game are reading more Scum than anything. Especially after getting on to Grib for not wanting to RVS and then claiming to be Facetous after people start to get onto him.

Well, for me, the biggest thing is that Ceph consistently tried to defend lurkers (way more than was logical), which makes me think that he's scum defending a lurking buddy, so there's a list of people, including KDowns who fits that bill.

as someone with a similar experience level to ceph, i can say that what he said about "lurking out the rvs" is accurate. anyone with a job (or something else going on in rl) will know why it's accurate.

And then the kicker. He said "Out of everyone here, I know KDowns the best, and this fits his character". That's a major red flag. He is essentially saying "Nobody here knows him except for me so you guys just have to trust me on this that he's not terrible".

1. I understand that people have a life outside of mafia. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to post because I just started going to University, but I've had a lot more time than I first suspected. But I digress.

I'm not the biggest fan of DS because he still hasn't done anything that I have to squint to see coming from as scum; his latest pursuits (BRO, you need to post more so people can read you!) have impressed me as in I have no idea how someone could be active as DS is, but still have absolutely no investment in the day itself. I liked his accusation of key because it seemed better than the rest of his posting combined, but I'd be a lot happier with the slot if the rest of his posting looked like that.

Also not sure about Magna; I remember skimming that he had a response to us more recently and I'll probably have a clearer view there but I think he's getting bogged down in dislike of different players and their treatment of him (which is reasonable enough, okay), but the conviction on them being scum isn't there to the degree it's been in literally every interaction I've had with Magna ever.

To elaborate on this, I feel like her pushes on hiplop and camntsuki don't make much sense coming from her, who should have enough experience with both of them to realize that this is business as usual for both of them.

The primary thing is a consistent "missing the point" from farside. Like, it'll either be:

1) Farside responds to an idea that is sort of tangential to the original post, but not the core idea.
2) Farside makes an argument built around specific posts/ideas from a players play without consideration of the whole, which tends to come from a mindset of "I need to demonstrate that this person is scum" over "what alignment makes the most sense based on what this person has said or done"

Mm. I think I'm gonna mostly actively lurk out the rest of the Day and observe how the lynch plays out.

I'm a little discouraged with how my reads seem to be the total opposite with practically everyone, and how a lot of people are townreading each other for what I think are bad/weak reasons. Maybe chalk it up to the site meta being alien to me after not playing here for so long? What passes for town playstyle here would get you insta-vigged on my main site, and I suppose I'm having trouble /not/ reading a lot of players in this game as scummy due to it.

I think I just need a flip or two or just /something/ concrete to happen so I can reevaluate. I can't recall being more frustrated/lost during Day 1, and that includes a game where a toxic Day 1 lasted like two months.

I've already been over my Camnt's scum read. The fact that main person debating me on that was Imperium scum doesn't dissuade me from thinking it has merit.

Spiffeh's entrance into the game was not very good.

He gets demerits for trying to direct power-roles multiple times (trying to get protective roles to protect Imperium and trying to dissuade anyone from shooting Imperium if a Vig).

In fact his "Snarky MUST be shot" post is one of the reasons I'm not trying to power-lynch Snarky today. If Spiffeh just had terrible reads and played bad yesterday as Town I'll revisit at a later date.

The Waco push I quoted was god awful. Waco wasn't scummy to begin with and had claimed a provable role that, despite the possibility of a scum Fruit Vendor, warranted testing at least Night 1 at the very least. Spiffeh cobbled together some crap that happened to coincide on the dominant wagon and helped finish the mislynch that scum Imperium started.

If you don't think this is worth serious consideration then I don't know what to tell you.

I'm trying to work through why Fox would get shot by scum over a number of other high-profile players in this game. N1 shot is best used to remove a townie who has a scumread on one or more of the more townread members of the scumteam. Obviously that wasnt TammyCho.

This makes me think that there's very like 1-2 scum in {DS, farside, MoI}. Snarky being scum probably wouldn't have gotten Fox shot, since Snarky's not a scum member that the team would try to protect until endgame. DS is probably the most likely to be town out of those 3 based on him also getting pretty seriously wagoned day 1 as well.

So... perhaps you're on to something after all?

Well we town read BROseidon in the beginning. I've played with him in Yuk It Up Buttercup, where he was an SK and he was more or less reserved. His play right now - I can't take as scum.

Plus, he could have easily denied our neighborhood, which would ensure my demise.
