This is why I think that there should be some non-idol way of saving someone, if a supermajority disagrees with the cut.

Just wondering, does anyone know what the longest endurance time was before KC? I'm worried that I may have ruined endurance challenges for everyone.

The problem with having to be not last is that you have no clue what scale everyone else is even on. If someone thought that an hour was a ridiculously long amount of time to do an endurance challenge, would it really be fair to expect them to go more than six to have a chance? And if someone did do the challenge for an hour, and everyone else did 6+, that's five hours people could be doing something more fun or productive. Also, what if someone flaked? That would be an even bigger waste of time.

The boggle challenge made that problem even worse, because that left everyone with absolutely no scope of how much they needed, not just the newbies. I guess that means it was more fair, but when different people are spending vastly different amounts of time on things when the single goal is to not be last, you are making things much worse for at least half the playerbase.




And it's been five and a half hours, for all we know Drench has been sleeping the whole time.

I was in that game, and was idoled out the first TC after the merge.

I still find it kind of weird that I spent an idol, and then right after that I used a link that was posted before I played it to get apparently the exact same idol back. Maybe they were trying to simulate a Legendary Box?

It sounds like there though the idol was only planted after he used it, and there probably wasn't a sign saying "There is an idol here" before it was there. I think I theoretically could have used the link I did to find the idol a day or so earlier, and I probably would have been told there was no idol there, which in every other game means it was already taken. After I played the one I had, I would then not have gotten it back, just because I found it too early. To me it wouldn't have ended up mattering, since I never got to play it the second time, but that possibility just seemed really awkward ever since then.

I will say that everything else about the game was really good, from the challenges to the playerlist to the format, which at least, as was mentioned, made it for for the players. I don't want to take away from that.

A lot of people were considering voting him to win though, because of how angry they were at the person he was running against. The final vote was 3-4.

Yeah it's not actually winning, but as a spectator that game it was still terrible.

...actually had expected Medli to get cut a long time ago. I highly doubt I would have been eliminated there if the twist hadn't happened that way, but in the end my entire strategy for that tribe was to just barely survive through the easy boots and then turn on the entire tribe at the earliest possible opportunity. They were absolutely not wrong to vote me out there, but while I'd like to say it was to keep tribal unity, it's more that I just flat out stopped caring about what other people thought of me, so I didn't try as hard as I could have. And Medli is a character that I really like, so to this day I'm still upset that I couldn't do her justice.

This was quite a while ago now, so I could be selling myself short. I know I reread my confessional here at one point during Medivac, and I had a lot that I wanted to say then, but I have since forgotten what that was. One thing I remember through now is that even though Medli was obviously my weakest character at the time, she was still waaaaaay better than Brett.

I think the major problem here is that Medli was booted really early, never made any real alliances so no one tried to hard to save her, was really slow at PMing, and had absolutely no affect on the game.

I obviously have no way of confirming this, but she probably would have been one of the first ones out if I hadn't posted in my confessional as much as I did.

I've probably already said this, but it's worth repeating. I asked the mods to choose a character for me because I have absolutely no knowledge of people on the real show. Yet, I may have ended up accidentally RPing him.

Another idea: There is no private communication allowed at all. Each tribe has a Chatzy or something similar that is cleared either every X minutes or upon player request, and the players don't have access to the archives.


It would put too much importance on time zones, not to mention the fact that I don't actually know if that's even possible, but I don't actually expect anyone to take this seriously, so...

I don't know exactly how this would work, but if we could somehow just rank each game individually, and then have cuts only be from the bottom of one of the lists, it seems like it would be a lot easier.

At the very least, ranking people in the same game should be a lot easier than ranking across all of them, and it could specifically be done by people who already know about the games or at least want to read them thoroughly, as opposed to forcing people who don't really understand the intricacies of the game to judge them.
