or maybe make the strongman some other PR since the idea is for the backup to get the power of the first dead scum? Something that helps but does not so overpower the doc?

maybe ascetic since the JOAT has investigative type roles like watcher and tracker and so on?

That would give some foil but not overpower the doc so much?

It looks good to me, but I really don't know enough on how to balance. Certainly looks more balanced now than it did before.
