Alright, I can change the role up a bit. I kind of wanted to play with hated, but I understand it both ways. Instead, vampire would be granted a cop shot if the person dies, and the player targeted who doesn't die will turn into a weak vigilante the next day. If this is the case, I'd like either the werewolf Encryptor or MD to be turned into a werewolf doctor or 1 shot bp.

I just gave it a name due to calling something a Loud Rolestopper delayed paranoid gun owner variant. I should have taken out the flavor from the PM. I brought it out from a potential theme game I was going to make and copy pasted.

Every night, you may target a player. They will receive a message of "You were targeted last night." All other actions will be unable to affect this target for the night. This effect is over when you target a new player or someone dies from this ability. You may not make the factional kill the same turn you use this ability.

I'm fine to make it a 1 shot RB for scum, or change it to Vanilla Cop, as they would get a No Result if they targeted Symbiotic

I could give town a BP or JK as well, and/or make the 1-shot Weak cop into a 1 shot Loyal Cop. I think I would prefer Loyal over weak anyways.

If I replace bodyguard with JK, and RB with Vanilla Cop, and turn the weak cop into a loyal cop. I'm not opposed to making the 1 shot loyal cop into odd night, either.

I feel like it's the same concept as having a Gunsmith with mafia doctor/town vigilantes. The role doesn't change, it just adds that "did i get roleblocked or nah"

I don't think the role changes. It's an action. The player still has to target someone. I could make it so they have until the end of Day 1, to give less randomness from it. More similar to loyal modifier and getting a no result.

Like it's just a seraph knight that if it targets scum, investigative immune. The change to seraph knight has made it incredibly simple.

I see this as incredibly acceptable in normal games (much more than Desperado and whatnot?)

Am I allowed to speak of a role that's in a current game I am modding here considering none of you guys are in that game?

it doesn't change at all, as technically, the seraph knight would save the mafia from being NK'd if there was a way for mafia to be NK'd this game.

An Investigative Immune Seraph Knight would be acceptable, I feel. So I don't get why a possible Investigative Immune Seraph Knight wouldn't be.

I also like giving Scum a little extra WIFOM, and with the vanilla cop potentially getting a No Result read from JK or investigating Symbiotic is like candy to me.

This is what doesn't necessarily add up to me. Considering the Loyal modifier essentially has the same effect, but for itself, which is another reason I liked the addition of the Loyal modifier in the game.

ascetic is normal, though, and without the lover aspect of it all helps make it even closer to normal.

I do have my booneytoonz disclaimer there, and I do post this when my game goes into signups as well.

Am I not allowed to have the Virus part of it there, even if it's just mafia? I felt like that was just like calling it Blue Mafia, and whatnot. That's fine if I can't, just wondering.

I don't really see this role as crazy, though, is what I'm stating. I actually think this would be considered my least crazy setup once.

If the role was just seraph knight, I feel like it would go through, (as the variant role, of course) is what the argument essentially was. I feel this as a really subtle role that the setup would be perfect for and that is perfect for what that grey listed allowance could be.

I feel like the game revolves most around the Gunsmith, really.

It's similar to like role stopper and loyal bodyguard, which are both normal roles now that Loyal is normal. I see it like:

X + Y = Z

X in this case would be Loyal, Y the target, and Z if no result is shown or not.

If we change it to Symbiotic instead of a Loyal role it becomes a matter of

Z - Y = X

I feel like one of the biggest issues was my first two setups legit had a crazy role, so the third just seemed like it and immediately brought the idea of it being crazy to the forefront, but I feel we've worked with it enough to make it so it isn't a crazy role, and fits rather nicely in a normal game, as there really isn't some weird mechanic. It's pretty straight forward.

what's crazy about it? What's not normal about it? Everything with in it is normal, I feel, or at least makes sense within the variant part of it. I definitely don't feel like it is there to spice it up. Maybe more of a sour than a spice, but I feel it comes from all normal mechanics similar to the way that the Loyal modifier works.

I think starting N1 it would take place, as that's when the kill protection aspect would work.

I can make the gunsmith even night. I can turn the goon into a 1-shot doc. It'll make them think they have a town killing role. I like the idea of having scum be able to get a no result from targeting Symbiotic if the symb targeted scum.
