And yeah, I'm dancing with my husband (Cabd). I have better faith in him to sort me than vice versa under normal circumstances, see the last micro we played in when we'd only been dating for two months, but I should have some insight. Plus, fun times. Which is the point.

I'm up for listening to confirmed town. The other side of this mechanic too is that *all* unpaired players leave the sance after pre-dance, no? So if we decide there's a likely-scum lady, we can lynch two gents and a lady, effectively. So scum hunting among us ladies is relevant.

P-edit: LLD, pairing up doesn't preclude public scum hunting. I suspect Cabd would take even greater delight in getting me lynched if I was scum than using the suicide mechanic, even if it ends the same way for him.

Look I'm not denying it could work well, I'm saying that it's a waste of resource. Think about the scenarios.

If you're both town, you've now deprived both of yourselves the ability to be in a QT with a more dangerous/suspicious person, and must only rely on the thread. Additionally, it means you're tied together, which is a problem if one of you gets paranoid about the other.

If one of you is scum, I think you two have a high chance of being able to snow the other one and gain their unconditional support. That's terrifying. There are very few game losing scenarios I can see, and that's easily one of them.

And if you're both scum, there's a big threat too. You pull away from us being able to read you, you can cover for each other based on how well you know each other, and it's a bad scene.

So no I think it's non-optimal to put you and Cabd together, minus the "Aw it's cute they're in love and dancing together".

The optimal plan is not for 1 gentleman to die.... it's for... let's see 14-3, minus a kill which will happen on two townies so 12-3....

For those who don't understand, scorched earth works like this.

At the end of the pre-dance phase, anyone without a partner will certainly die. Which means we get to control the size of this game by killing people immediately.

Here are the goals of Scorched Earth

1) To lower the player total below or equal to 12, as it will trigger the intermission, and force scum to kill SUPER early.
2) To pair Hebi with someone super scummy. This way, it increases the likelyhood Hebi LIVES through that kill.
3) To kill a shit ton of people and generate reads through this, instead of making pre-dance kind of useless.

Honestly, the way you push this narrative is really bad for the town, for the record. People already know that RC and I can't live past the Intermission. We are as one might say "marked for death". I wasn't comfortable with either of you, but with how you came in planning to pair with each other, I wanted to make it clear that if you were paired together it would be 1) scummy and 2) probably get your pair killed by obligation at some point.

All of that was mostly true, but also mostly irrelevant? I really just wanted to see if I could force you to pick another partner, and A2 arrived. I find it very strange that town!cabd would allow this to happen, or would cave to my pressure. I also think if you and P_A are scumm, you NEEDED to do this.
