I don't really like how when they argued with me it was from the POV of someone just arguing to prove there point and not really someone who is thinking about mine or there own posts.
The stubborn nature is something I'd ignore for the most part but they are also ignoring half the statements I made but was willing to argue me on issues that mostly aren't relevant so I don't think that there intention is to sort me even if they give 0 shits about readjusting there mastina read.

I was in Court this morning and am now at work and need to mull over what's been said, probably re read and whatnot.

Also, don't expect me to follow up on saying that someone's argument makes sense. Even if I'm not buying into an argument I can generally tell when they are based in logic and when they are based in lies and misstatements. While I don't agree with Beeboy, I would use that to get something of a town lean, that's what I want to do, hear reasoning, and use that rather than the conclusions, to determine if someone is being scum.

Finally, despite being anime and not the best anime ever (Garfield) a vague recollection of what I have read tells me that Maid Cafe is a townlean for me.

I would also like some reasoning for the vote on Maid Cafe. I'm TL on them and never quite saw where the SL came from in that slot, should have asked ages ago, to be honest, but now is as good of a time as any.

I think this is a good place to start. I don't know how you get a role like the one he claimed and don't immediately think "hey I can use this to confirm other people's abilities when they claim them" as town. Like sure everyone's probably got access to reasonably powerful ability, but waiting for someone to get run up to L-1 and claim and then copying their ability to compare it to the claim seems like good value.

For the record I disagree with any theory argument that leads to claims from players not on L-1. Props to Chara for expressing importance of not being stupid.

Micc, do you feel the need to have an intent to hammer to claim, or just L-1?

Also, while I'm here, I'll just post my, at this point, standard thing. I don't do read lists, will not be providing a read list at any point. I hate writing them. If you get one from this slot, Gamma wrote it, but I will be agreeing with it since we will discuss beforehand any of that.

Gamma. Every town game I have read of Gamma’s he has like a bajillion (scientific term IKR) posts. I know you said earlier that Gamma was back seating but I would expect to see something from him. I also don’t like it took me asking about Gamma for you to mention it, while Mastina was uptight about it.

historically, a scum lynch on day 1 is actually worse for town. sometimes, it can work out wonderfully despite that. but for the most part, i'd call it bad. Maki knows what i mean.

therefore, seeing as my role powers up on town deaths, and a day 1 scum lynch is bad for town, i propose we collectively agree to lynch town. i know it sounds silly, but it makes sense. i hate seeing town do well on the first day only to tank every other.

Creature can back me up on this, I had an offsite game where I was disengaged due to post volume + my "lover" partner (basically my mason if I had been town) not being around, but me finding an in-road and having an active partner made me more invested.

I feel like this isn't the best plan, but I agree with the sentiment that Day 1 scum lynches can make town over-confident. I had noted around the time I dropped from the site the first time that a lot of town losses were occuring where scum got lynched early and the it was purely town lynches.

Real talk, Gamma and I have repeatedly taken separate sides on whether lurking is NAI or not. So I still personally will not take it into account for anyone. But, if you want to use it as AI, there's nothing I can do to stop you, is there?

Gamma and I discussed the issue in PT and this is really the best I can personally do. There's nothing that's going to make me change my mind that activity is NAI and there's nothing to change Gamma's mind that it isn't no matter how long our discussion goes and how many games I argue against it with him.

I don't understand how A50 does not have ANY reads as of his last post, and in my limited experiences with him, this seems off. He usually seems confident to me. This is absurd.

Chara has said really weird shit, but I don't know it's play style outside of an ongoing game with it right now, may just be a weird thing.

Reasonably Rational seems to be good. They are thinking, they are reasoning, they are sharing with the class from what I recall.

Well brass is new so he isn't quite familiar with the way I am as scum. As such he tried to defend me against what he saw as bad logic. Also now that I know who you are it makes perfect sense that you would be reading me this way, as it's the same way I acted in Overwatch mafia to start, which you replaced me in.
I'll try to communicate more with my partner in the future.

Now that OTM has revealed who he is and we can confirm his meta, he is the towniest person here.

How do you think Lumia asking him to prove his meta is "trying to find all kinds of reasons to shade" him? And Neither myself nor Lumia has even mentioned his activity level as AI.

Maybe try a reread so that you can get the facts straight.

Whenever it becomes clear that that person is the lynch for the day if nothing changes. I don't think distinguishing between intent being called or not really matters.

That's my philosophy too. I ended up claiming fairly early by that logic as PR once.

Not really? There are some things I agreed with when I checked it after seeing this but it's not a 100% match. That why I want to sync up with brass a bit.

@Chara: I just want to make sure it's firmly on the record exactly what abilities etc should return a negative result on you, so in case you are actually scum fake claiming miller because you know in Varsoon games there can be multiple millers and therefore the fake claim isn't particularly risky, people know *what*, if any, results they can trust on you.

1) no real reason. it was a joke. i'm not lying anymore even as a joke.
2) also facetious. lynching town on purpose fucks up the game enough that it doesn't help to solve it at all. i'm not scumreading every player who took me seriously, Skybird's reaction just stood out, and i was scumleaning her already.

Good God, lots has happened here when I got sick.

I find it interesting that where so many people are townreading or townleaning Venmar, A50 in 1053 says he is scumreading him instead. Personally, I don't get the townreading of him, but I don't know that there's been enough to scumread.

1057 by Iconeum is not a great case but it's something, then he seems to back down from his argument without really backing down from his read in 1060 unless I am misreading it, odd.

1090 is just MC pointing out the weird town read on a mostly quiet slot. I've called out reads like that as scummy in the past and still don't love it here. As Kiana somewhat called out right after, 1105 is just baffling to me.

1116 is not good. I mean, not necessarily a scum thing but just bad posting.

1117 on the other hand is a good question which was dodged in 1119.

1120 is more good discussion from OTM.

1127 is a good point.

Guess this will be post 1 in my catch up from Lumia's last meaningful post because my last was almost 40 pages ago and his thoughts reflect my thoughts then.

1130 has all these posts I'd like to talk about, associative arguments are something I think may be a bit shallow and less than useful before a flip. We can create ideas of associations before a flip, but until we know what alignment a player is, the associations are purely speculation, I find. If someone would like to explain to me that I'm wrong, please do, but I just don't know how useful it is to discuss them day 1.

1132 also shows that associations are not that great when the opposite association.
