i wanted spoilers for this game but rc wouldn't give them to me unless i guessed the scumteam

essentially i did a brief skim of some ISOs for people who i thought i could read and did some sheeping of people claiming strong reads to try to start forming a poe, and even then i never even really started looking for scumreads.

not that any of that matters anyways, i'll be town soon enough if my predecessor wasn't good enough for my slot to be locktown.

i'm speaking from memory from another time here, but if jjh is scum he has put far more effort and time into this game than any scumgame he's ever played before. i've correctly scumread jjh before starting from about page 5 to his lynch on day one and i don't think he's scum here.

i'm open to hearing your case but that's probably among my more confident townreads.

maid cafe's 109 + his tole fishing Nico from, a few pages ago. Of course, the inverse of that argument is that scum wouldn't blatantly rolefish that hard. Also, he seems to have had a weird drop in activity.

While I think beeboy is a pretty good player i'm not sure if that one observation and a little bit of rolefishing outweighs the massive amounts of effort that it seems to me that he's put in this game. Again, i'm only going off of what i know, which is that scum jjh puts in a

lot

less effort than what i've seen here. If you have some kind of counterexample i would be glad to see it - completely seriously.

I think I've only played one game with JJH. You are town reading him on activity and ok? and I think his content is scummy.

I think activity is understating it. I would say that i'm townreading him for his content as well. "Activity" can just mean posting a few one line posts every hour or something, but it looks to me like he's put a lot of time into this game. What's more, i feel like the solving he did when it came to his vecna push doesn't come from him as scum. it feels like real "sleuth work", so to speak.

i think looking at 1600 perfectly encapsulates what i'm trying to say.

Mastina is essentially claiming an inno on Kuroi. His wagoned happened b/c like...it just did. ppl were scumreading him. It died b/c inno claim.

furthermore, even assuming you were right in that scum were trying to frame you, it's an incorrect assumption to make that the entire scumteam would have the specific idea of trying to frame you. a lot of scum strategies are come up with by a single person and then agreed upon by the other members of the scumteam. sure, you could be right that mastina is scum (speaking on a purely argumentative level here), but it'd be a mistake to assume that the rest of the scumteam also had the idea of framing you and has been working towards it for a while. those kinds of full-team strategies are very rare.

i think it's possible that there's an additional protective. i mean, i already thought aristo had a pretty decent chance to be scum, so it's possible that the roleblock there was what stopped it. him coming out with the nihilism thing doesn't change a lot for me given that the person who roleblocked him would theoretically know that they targeted him and him trying to hide it would only make himself look more suspicious. i have no clue why you would get roleblocked yesterday and i don't expect any theorizing that i do to be particularly enlightening. was it that it was scum controlled and they were scared of you? doubtful. the more likely scenario seems to me that it's just someone blocking based on their own reads or something, so i'm not sure where you want me to go from there. to talk about whether or not i think it was a "good" block? i don't really see how my opinion on that matters, honestly.

i just don't think i'm ever wrong here. i really don't think JJH is a hard player to sort, so in some sense i'm a little surprised that there seems to be so much confusion (although i can understand it as just people being unfamilair with his scum play as well as having some aversion to meta, neither of which are true for me)

as for it being possible that he hard defends mastina: sure. i mean, it's not like it's impossible that he, as scum, would hard defend mastina. that small detail is pretty irrelevant to him being town by play though, i would argue. like, even if creature had hard defended scum or something this game, i would still say that he's more likely to be town – do you see what i'm getting at?
