In 2016, the first ever large-scale Mish Mash event was held. 40 competitors battled it out over a few months and in the end, 2 winners were crowned. We've taken your feedback, and after long anticipation, we bring you the largest Mish Mash event in site history (don't fact check that)! 48 users from across the site will compete; each round two of the most popular games in Mish Mash will be played, and three players will be eliminated. Unlike the first game where teams changed from week to week, this time you'll be competing as a part of one of 4 teams throughout the whole game. In the end, one team will reign victorious, and that team's remaining members will win a kick-ass banner.
This is a game. The main objective is to have fun; so no excessive flaming, spamming, or submission of anything else prohibited within the MS forums.
This is a game. The secondary objective is to dominate.
We are not infallible, so if any of us make a mistake, please point it out to us privately so that we may make corrections as necessary.
We have worked extensively to produce a game that is enjoyed by all involved. As such, we promise to offer each player respect but expect to be shown the same in return.
While we have designed this game to be as fair to as many players' skillsets as possible, there is some inherent factor of luck in most Mish Mash games. We have steered away from games of complete chance with little skill involved, but this is a disclaimer that certain challenges are not 100% determined by skill, and you may be hurt by bad luck as with Mafia.
Exercise common sense. If you are unsure as to whether an action conflicts with the rules, ask. Yes, this is a competition, but do not attempt to undermine challenges or game mechanics for your own gain. This violates both the spirit of the game and common respect mentioned above.
If at any point a player fails to submit for a challenge without giving the mods notice, they will receive an activity strike. Upon receiving three strikes, a player will forcibly be replaced and cannot rejoin the game.
At all times during the game, a form will be available in the OP. At any time, a player who was not accepted into the game or has been eliminated may enter their information into the form and enter the replacement pool. In the event that a player receives 3 activity strikes or requests to be replaced, a player from the replacement pool will be randomly selected to take their place. Players who weren't selected for the game at the start will take priority over those who have been eliminated.
If at any point you feel the game isn't what you expected or hoped it would be, you are welcome to let a mod know you wish to replace out. We have the replacement pool for a reason, and don't want to subject people to something they don't enjoy if there are others who want to play.
If a player is modkilled or requests to be removed while competing in an elimination challenge, the challenge will end for that player's team and no replacement will be selected.
At the start of the game, the mods will place all 48 players into 4 teams of 12. These teams will never change, and in the end you will win or lose as a team.
Every round consists of a team challenge, after which all members of the winning team are safe from elimination.
Every round consists of an elimination challenge through which one player will be eliminated from all three losing teams. Either the worst performer in an elimination will be the one who goes home, or the elimination challenge will give a certain player(s) the power to vote on who leaves the team.
Each elimination challenge has been designed to work with a specific number of players. Therefore, the first time a team loses, whether it be on round 1 or round 5, they will face the 12-person elimination. As such, eliminations will mostly take place in private view away from the other teams, and discussion of elimination challenges with other teams is
unless otherwise noted.
After a predetermined number of rounds, the remaining players in each team will compete in a final challenge, which has been balanced so all teams have a fair shot regardless of their size. The remaining players on the winning team will be crowned the champions of Clash of the Mash 2018.
Despite the fact that you're on opposing teams, all players are welcome to privately communicate at all times unless otherwise specified by a challenge.
All team challenges and elimination challenges are subject to
in General Rules.
