I don't think that's very meaningful. I think it's NAI. I've been accused of that exact same AtE case many times, because for a long streak I was mislynched D1. It's easy to feel like it happens all the time, even if it hasn't happened in a while.

Usually, I think it’s NAI. This game is kill heavy, so I feel like scum is definitely staying under the radar moreso than not. It’s a 26 player game, idk how many scum fits into that. 6?

Overkill 1 was also designed to be kill heavy...and the only town that died was a vengeful we purposefully mislynched. Some nights there were no deaths. Take that as you will.

Hey Pintu, I've been enjoying your posts and thought processes so far! But I am interested in why you imply to hebichan that Wisdom is not a good candidate to push.

I disagree that Profii's list makes them town, but I do respect your interpretation. I would argue that a reads list such as that can look like "work" without actually having much effort put into it. And my initial scumread on Profii largely came from their early posts, particularly their first posts appearing to be an attempt to "fit in" rather than natural conversation, as well as their response to me. I do not have feelings as strong in regards to profii's later posts though.

I would think scum would try to make a more complete reads list. That would be looking like work too, but also look like a larger contribution. I didn't see that with profii's list.

Fair point. I think that as either alignment, people will be limited by the amount of effort they want to put in. Whether they are town or scum, profii did not put extra effort beyond what the simple reads list post required (and fair enough tbh). I just don't see the reads list itself as all that relevant to profii's alignment.

Why Chick? Chick was scum in Labrynth and she just posted spam, pretty much.

While I appreciate the assist, you should absolutely not read my scum game on Labyrinth. I replaced in when the game was almost over, and thus I wasn't invested. I was just there to fill a spot for RC. I spammed because I had no intention of reading the game, so I didn't have any idea what was going on. If you want a better example (and I typically don't do this, because it's not my job to help people meta dive me) you should look at Breaking Bad, or Micro 700: Oddrole Mafia III. Both older games, but I tried to stick to what was easily findable (i.e. listed on my terribly out of date wiki).

As I said, for the record, creature has been getting better at upping his game as scum, so you can't just disregard him because he did so. I would like you a recent game where he was scum and almost managed to win in 3p lylo because he came back and spent like 2 hours actively posting when people started suspecting him, but I'm way too lazy to actually do that.

I'm town reading Toog. I think the way they initially claimed was genuine. I think it came from a place of wanting to be upfront about they wouldn't be voting. There hasn't been a lot of redeeming posts since then, but I understand the frustration.

I also don't hold it against anyone to find their "oh it exists" post scummy though.

No. They're small one liners that don't mean anything to most of us. I'd rather just know what you're thinking and why about different slots. So many one liners were thrown at me over the last 682 pages that I have no clue where you stand on anything.

Unless some other nice human being makes me a cool avatar like Chickadee did, then I'll use that avatar until I start a solo game, at which point I'll have to remove it because arguments about my lack of an avatar have been so common that they're now a viable interaction I can analyze for scumhunting. ^^

RR can probably recall this better than me but I am fairly certain I modded a game where scum made a late entry and did exactly this. We all laughed.

Also, when I come to a game and see that I have 15 pages to read...I tend to just not. If interesting things happened, I may go back to bits, but if it's literally just one person making throw away posts, it kills my ambition to actually look for interesting things in the game. What is it about the post that you think makes that post more likely to come from scum?

Right now i'm very worried that your initial post about it was a vague attempt at sounding useful without actually coming from a genuine place. Especially given that I think your explanations since don't really make sense of why you'd jump in to defend Mala like that.
