I am

I like that you are coming around Sheep/Mastina as well

You might be getting the Mastina tracker thing wrong though

It's not that Mastina was the less "likely" to get caught in my opinion. It is just that she knew that she very probably would be the next day lynch if she didn't claim something good, therefore Mastina made up this claim of half-truths to justify a possible tracker on her + try some WIFOM.

However, she was the one to make the kill also, in my opinion, to protect her partner of getting tracked because in the long-term view, he is the unique hope of the scum team (since her slot is in very bad waters) and if a guilty on him showed up, it was basically game over to mafia.

I can be wrong maybe though.
You were not!

No, Ari just had good reason to believe that this was my towngame--because, in many ways, it was.

My posts were tailored to look good for people who know me.

Mostly just for one factor:
Knowing that we were fucked, I altogether abandoned any semblance of a larger plan. Not having a plan is town mastina.

It just so happened that this game, my lack of plan was due to me abandoning any hope of winning in favor of just having FUN.

Yeah I mean.
EVERYONE was scumreading me.
I couldn't even pin hopes on sheep, because he was a preferred alternative to me.

I knew that I was pwned, so I just accepted it and ran with it.
(Helps that I have drawn scum SO many times that I'm burned out enough to not give a fuck as scum. Only so many times before it begins to wear old, especially since I just don't feel the need to prove my skill at scumplay. When I want to prove that I'm a competent scum player, drawing scum is great. But I don't, because right now I'm content with my scumplay compentency. So I just have no heart in it, yaknow?)

Leveraging a couple of slots' discomfort with reading me to get the lynch through was pretty clever. You also came out pioneering the push on me without backing down which was pretty cool. I think sheep looked worse out of it but idrk I guess.

In a normal player list I doubt it would be so stacked for town. There's just some really lucky combinations in there for us. :P
Agreed. And, I actually felt like I was town when pushing you, because it just felt like something town-mastina would be doing given she'd know about your alignment/performance in Starcraft.

This is actually all according to plan.
Because we really
did
have the power to give out a N6 vigilante, with the explicit details of it being an evil gun. If sheep nails the naturalness of it, it works to our favor, because it means that he's pseudo-cleared and he gets to kill Pink Ball.

Granted.

He has to convince people that the role exists--it DOES. But he needs to sell them that it does. Because if they don't believe it exists--even though it does--then he gets lynched in spite of being truthful.

Yeah, sheep's not handling it as well as I'd hoped...

...But on the other hand.

It may still work anyway?

Skitter, Pink Ball, and Slaxx are all at least considering the idea of Mephistophanes as scum for various reasons.

Honestly even if sheep was powerlynched on D4, if he survives D3 I'll be calling this game a win since it went as well as possible. :P
(He needs to survive tho. He has a chance!)

The gambit was my idea, actually.
I laid out the no-kill, no-gift plan, and that if there was a guilty, to claim the N6 Vig with the evil gun.

And yeah, I did kinda hard-frame Mephistophanes as my scumbuddy.
If you can't KILL the cop...figure out a way where the town does it for you. :P

Quite interesting.
Well in sheep's credit.
With no power roles.
We'd have you dead N1 and Pink Ball dead N2 and skitter as not conftown D3, leaving the POE pool MUCH wider and more flexible. Mephistophanes, skitter, Slaxx, maybe even podoboq, all are lynchable then.

It's a shame that in spite of this explicitly being a game where I didn't tryhard and this explicitly being a game I knew I was going to lose.

The fact that I
still
made some clever plays will inevitably mean.

I'll be seeing a lot of lynches aimed my way and face a lot of exasperation from it.

...Still worth it tho.

In post 158, the worst wrote:why did you pick skitter?
skitter was the obvious choice. Keep in mind there are two important aspects of that role. The tracker part was worthless altogether; I didn't care about it. What I cared about was the BULLETPROOF and CONFTOWN parts of it.

I can't make Nibbui bulletproof because Nibbui was the best player in the game.
I can't make Pink Ball bulletproof because Pink Ball rivaled Nibbui for best player in the game.
I can't make podoboq an IC because podoboq is a potential mislynch.
I can't make Slaxx an IC because Slaxx is a potential mislynch,
and
him being bulletproof would be bad due to being a competent player.
I can't make you have it, because you're the lynch and I'm pretty sure that if we submitted the lynch as the player to receive it, it'd have been randomized. (If not and we coulda disposed of it via dumping it on you and lynching you...WHOOPS. But I just kinda assumed that was impossible, since if schadd allowed that, it'd be a LOLWHOOPS from
him
.)

That leaves the options as Mephistophanes and skitter.
Mephistophanes was a poor choice because there was a fair amount of suspicion and the IC would ruin it. Furthermore, there were growing sentiments of them being town in spite of said suspicion, and the bulletproof would be bad to have there.

Whereas skitter was a fairly obvtown player, no suspicion at all...yet who we also didn't have plans to kill. I wanted Nibbui dead; I wanted Pink Ball dead; I wanted Slaxx to die; I wanted Mephistophanes to die. But skitter was someone I knew we could afford to let live.

Mind you.

There were no good options.
Nobody in this playerlist is someone I
wanted
to make a bulletproof IC, yet alone, a BP IC with a tracker power. All of them are far too competent for that.
I just had to give it to
someone
, and skitter was the least-terrible option available for our chances of winning.

The tracker was only for the first two nights.

sheep's claim sounded so ridiculous that I believed it instead of yours  but I blame mastina, her gambit was pretty awesome, mainly because I thought "mastina can't be playing this to just get one more mislynch, since after a Meph mislynch sheep will be power lynched", like, I thought mastina would be planning for a win, not for a "get as far as we can", but alas!
When Slaxx described my play as like an onion, you shoulda listened.

There's always layers to it…

Hey there's a reason I have a cult of personality behind me and am incredibly divisive between people who know me well and people who don't care to know me well. When I actually talk to people, we end up connecting quite well.

There's a reason I preach about "the magic of talking", and it's exactly that; just talking to people is an amazing way to get to know one another and bond remarkably quickly.

So Sheep's killing Slaxx.
I legitimately, genuinely don't know if that's the right play or not; I'm conflicted.
On the one hand, Slaxx supports skitter on lynching sheep; on the other hand, Slaxx was a possible lynch and was doubting sheep just as much as skitter. Plus, my interactions with Slaxx and sheep were fairly similar, which is a mixed bag of good and bad.

I think it's overall maybe the smart move, but I don't think it'll win him the game.

Maybe because it was an actual real role in this game?

Read the setup; the claimed role is quite real. It's just that we deliberately essentially gave it to ourselves rather than to a town player.

Sure does, but that doesn't make it any less of a real role. The N6 vigilante was no fakeclaim; it was, genuinely, something schadd included in the game and nothing changes that because it's an objective fact.

While we're on the subject of games, my Blitz game is having difficulty filling--which I suppose isn't that unusual; the setup is explicitly scumsided so not many people willingly go into a disadvantage, the game is a Blitz requiring high activity which runs counter to the majority of site culture, and the game features a mechanic people may or may not be fond of involving the choice to become lovers or gladiate someone.

Still, it's a thing if anyone here would be interested.
