{FINALE ~ PART 02}

Jeopardy!

So we were thinking, what's the one kind of thing we haven't given you during this entire event? Yeah that's right. Trivia. It's time to test what you know and maybe what you've learned during this whole experience. But don't worry, I promise it'll be a good fun time for all~

RulesJeopardy! is a simple game. Three contestants compete in a quiz game comprising three rounds: Jeopardy!, Double Jeopardy!, and Final Jeopardy!. The material for the clues covers a wide variety of topics, including history and current events, the sciences, the arts, popular culture, literature, and languages. One contestant will be competing for each team at a time.

The Jeopardy! and Double Jeopardy! rounds each feature six categories, each of which contains five clues, which are valued by difficulty. For the Jeopardy! round, clues increase in value in $200 increments, while in Double Jeopardy! they increase in $400 increments.

The challenge will take place live in discord. The Jeopardy! round begins with the winning team from Bananagrams picking the first clue. After a clue is announced, all players have 20 seconds to post their answer in the form of a question. A wrong answer or failure to phrase in the form of a question causes the player who gave the answer to lose money equal to the clue's value. A correct answer earns money equal to the clue's value, and gives the answerer the power to choose the next clue. The team in last going into Double Jeopardy! picks the first clue for that round.

A "Daily Double" is hidden behind one clue in the Jeopardy! round, and two in Double Jeopardy! Only the contestant who uncovers a Daily Double may respond to that clue. Before the clue is revealed, the contestant must declare a wager, from a minimum of $5 to a maximum of his/her entire score (known as a "true Daily Double") or the highest clue value available in the round, whichever is greater. A correct response adds the value of the wager to the contestant's score, while an incorrect response deducts it. Whether or not the contestant responds correctly, he or she chooses the next clue.

The Final Jeopardy! round features a single clue. Once the category is announced, each contestant makes a final wager between $0 and his/her entire score. Once the clue is announced, all contestants will have 15 seconds to privately give their answer to the Final Jeopardy! clue.

Outside sources ARE allowed for this challenge, but you CANNOT discuss clues with a teammate or any other person while the clues are being given.

Before the challenge takes place, your team must split up its members into 5 roles:
  • First half of the Jeopardy! round
  • Second half of the Jeopardy! round
  • First half of the Double Jeopardy! round
  • Second half of the Double Jeopardy! round
  • Final Jeopardy!
The player assigned to a role will be the only person who can answer clues during that portion of the game. Scheduling will be done separately for each of the 5 game portions. You have
24 hours
to make your role designations.

Since I forgot to clarify, the team with the
lowest
score after Final Jeopardy! will be eliminated from the game.
