In post 32, Xtoxm wrote:19 players huh
probably a beefy scum team of size 4
Krazy's scumteam size is...shall we say...inconsistent.

A 15-player game could have a 3-man scumteam or a 4-man scumteam or even a 5-man scumteam or rather something like 9:4:1:1.

General balance standard for 19 players is four-man.
I'd err on the side of caution for five, with potential shenanigans for a sixth not-full-scum-but-partial-scum player.

So basically to be fully cautious, treat the game as if it had six scum.

It won't.

But treat it that way just in case.

Not true. The anime branched off from the plot of the manga about where I haven’t seen the original. The original also had filler like the Officer, the gentleman, and the mystery of warehouse 13.
No, I meant, my experience is pretty much the same as yours.

Alternative explanation: you're a godfather who starts with the godfather power but who loses the godfather status later in the game and thus becomes susceptible to investigation.

That seems like a Krazy role to me. And the obvious thing to do with that power is to claim time-delayed miller.

Case and point: last game Krazy ran had two scum roles with mechanics that worked along these veins. The one-shot activated godfather shows that he uses godfathers (and I don't think that's the first game he's used a godfather in, tho I could be mistaken), and the evil child role "evolved" over the course of the game.

(Considering I have been a co-mod for Krazy games for over a year by now. Kinda sorta have a fairly good idea of what sort of shenanigans he's likely to pull. This? Right up his alley. Admittedly, yes, so too would be the role you claimed, a time-delayed miller, but that's where SCUMHUNTING comes in in deciding "time delayed miller, or godfather with an expiration date on status", and the latter is by far the one I favor.)

No but I do think that a godfather with an expiration date on their godfatherness would have a very easy way in to fakeclaiming time-delayed miller--especially if the mod helped "encourage" said claim.

Maybe, just maybe, because Panzer was at the time of that post, asking the mod to craft him a fakeclaim, and it was only in his later post that he had the mod's help.

Explaining why he didn't claim it out of the gate.

And made an early readslist? When all the players in the game had not posted yet?

You know what my role that game was?

Mason.
Kinda literally the fucking opposite of being scum.

And you know what CheekyTeeky said about me then? A scumread, but absolutely nothing about it was based on the readslist.

The readslist was a nonentity in how CheekyTeeky read me.
You know why?

That game was the most pertinent/relevant game for me to link to.
But it's not the only game we've played together. This game doesn't contain an early readslist because I replaced in D2, but it
does
contain the catchup/replacement-version of my town-town?-scum?-scum post. The format's not identical because again, was catching up as a replacement, but the general idea of it is the same.
Technically there's this game too, but there were extenuating circumstances behind there which made it an abnormality from me. (Among them accidentally hammering Alisae when I was casting an RVS joke-vote unaware e had a wagon on em.)
And then these games as well.

CheekyTeeky absolutely knows better than this.

(Also, legit fun fact about this game: I honestly wanted to be scum, because frankly on this playerlist it was gonna be a free win; with the exception of Creature, Pink Ball, and maybes in the form of Alisae/Titus, not a single player on this list which would in any way feel remotely like a threat to me--so I knew that if I rolled scum, it'd be a fucking stomp. BUT, Krazy gave me something EVEN BETTER than scum, so I can't complain that I didn't get it, because holy shit did I get the perfect role. <3)

CheekyTeeky had every reason to back off of me especially when I softed via the link to Scummers In This Game because that was a 'crumb aimed specifically at her--she did not.

In that case, it's these two posts especially in tandem:

I used present tense here, 'am', not past tense, 'was'.

If you want to see every 'crumb and not just the ones in relationship to CheekyTeeky and that past mason game? That? That'll take me a little longer to compile as I've got over 70 posts and well over half of them contain a 'crumb in some form or another. But I'm assuming this is what you were asking for.

Yeah the problem with that is multiple-fold.
1: Vengekills are a shot at hitting scum. By deliberately aiming at town, you're deliberately avoiding playing to your wincon.
2: Vengekills resolve before the night phase. Guess what happens once one mason is vengekilled? You go into night. Guess what the mafia have? A nightkill. End result? Both masons dead before the end of the night. Don't fucking think this game wouldn't have a fucking strongman, because Krazy absolutely gives scum a role like that every single game, pretty much.
3: The mason claim is self-resolving. Scum literally
can't
let us live forever, so what will they do?
Oh yeah.
On their fucking own.
Without a vengekill.
Kill us.

Panzer's not a fucking moron.
He knows all of these.
So he fucking knows better than this.

Ergo.
His threat to vengekill a mason?
Empty at best, gamethrowing at worst. Unless of course he were a scum vengeful, in which case absolutely yeah vengekilling us is the correct play.

It's about as blatant a scumclaim as you can get.

I stand by the decision of pulling the trigger being the right one.
Because while I was nowhere near a lynch.
This was absolutely a situation where claiming gave an edge I otherwise wouldn't have had.

I didn't want to claim, but then when the CheekyTeeky thing played out the way it did...like.
CheekyTeeky was scum.
But.
The only way I could fully explain why was with the claim. (A fact I said as much in the PT.)
It was a bit impulsive, yes, but I stand by it not being a

Yes.
But usually the claims are made deliberately and meticulously and thoroughly planned out in advance.

You can
usually
trust sporadic-in-the-heat-of-the-moment early claims to be true because that sort of whimsy isn't something I plan out. I just...get the idea that it's the right thing to do, so I do it, consequences be damned.

If I'm not explicitly claiming it from pretty much my first post, then it's probably not actually fake.

On the one hand.
I wouldn't expect Alchemist to be this lackluster as town.
On the other hand.

I also wouldn't expect Alchemist to be this terrible as scum?
I've SEEN him be scum; he did much much better than THIS. (No seriously, check his scumgame. It's not this terrible.)
I've also seen him as town, and he also did much much more than this. (Basically any towngame. Not this lackluster.)
So.
Alch's ambivalent, for what it's worth. I don't know what to make of him here because regardless of his alignment I'd expect something better than what I'm seeing.

Doesn't mean it wasn't a not-wrong call. A lack of losing the debate doesn't in of itself mean that claiming was bad, because there was a notable lack of winning it in a sense. Good reasons to make it, more or less. I'm kinda getting tired (good god my eyes are shaking I need a nap) so I'm kinda losing coherency here so I kinda can't explain it properly to lay out my thought process but again, I will defend the call. Maybe it wasn't necessary, sure, but it was still I think something overall advantageous. Even if not optimal, still USEFUL, if that makes sense.

I said from the start that I thought that my claim for being excited for the game seemed to be the only genuine one, and I mean it still. This is me having that excitement and fun.

Oh, I forgot about that. Extenuating circumstances there. Technically speaking, yes, did claim mason, but did so pretty much explicitly as a joke/reaction test of sorts. In the Channel 48 PT, I said, "hey at least I'm not advocating for treating this thread as a masonry" and then when I claimed mason with BNL, quoted said post and went, "abouuuuuuuut thaaaaaaat......" to it. :P

It was something which was pretty clearly not a claim meant to be taken seriously for a long time. The people in the neighborhood knew that we weren't masons, and knew that I didn't really intend for us to be seen as masons.

Pretty much agree, actually--while I think Titus is a fairly good scum candidate, there are enough players who I am scumreading much much strongerly than I do her, where going after her is not optimal. Basically, too many people have a higher chance at flipping scum compared to her.

In post 1441, PJ. wrote:Why is it excusable and not bannable when you play in a game throwing manner but inexcusable and bannable when I play in a game throwing manner?
Because what I did wasn't game-throwing. Claiming mason had a legitimate game purpose; it exposed scum in a way which couldn't be done otherwise. Becoming conftown on D1 is also not inherently a bad thing. Yes, it means that the masons die fairly early on, but that's not inherently a bad thing because I don't trust myself in the lategame anyway and the scum killing me instead of, sayyy, an investigative PR, means that said investigative PR has the time to generate useful results unimpeded. There's actual, provable, game utility in claiming mason, even on D1.

You can disagree with the theory, but from a theory standpoint, it is not unambiguously game-throwing.

Shooting conftown as town, on the other hand?

That?

That's unambiguously game-throwing.

Claiming to become conftown's not gamethrowing because there's utility in it (you're still playing to your wincon even if the decision to claim is not the MOST optimal); shooting conftown as town is gamethrowing because it is literally playing against your wincon.

Here are the things mastina did this game
- get into a fight that is probably a TvT with Cheeky
- claimed mason and outed their buddy because Cheeky reasonably thought mastina could be scum for some reason
- continued to push that one read and nothing else because their ego demanded it.

For those not getting it: Panzer tried to counter my point by quoting an Alisae post...which Alisae emself SAID was intentionally manipulative. Alisae's post was pretty much trolling/satirical/parody/sarcastic/snarking/whatevertermyou'dliketousefornotbeingserious. It was, self-evidently, a joke.

Panzer is portraying it not only as if it was serious, but as if it were a legitimate, genuine argument to be made that had any merit to it whatsoever. (It didn't. It's so painfully without merit that it's not even worth arguing against because the points are just so blatantly false.)

Yes and that's my largest regret; I legitimately was thinking to wait longer before dropping the bombshell, but made the "fuckit doing it now" call. I'm nothing if not impulsive; I admit it was maybe not perfectly timed but I still defend it as not pointless.
In post 1467, Alisae wrote:I'm just saying, there were many ways it could have been done "otherwise"
And while some did occur to me and in hindsight I regret not going with them, in the moment, the claim seemed like the right decision.
In post 1467, Alisae wrote:Exposing scum would be if scum claimed mason and you cc'd them.
I actually thought CheekyTeeky was trying to breadcrumb either mason or IC or some form of "hey I can confirm myself as town" role, which is specifically WHY I claimed; I wanted to force CheekyTeeky to commit to their softclaim that I was seeing.
In post 1467, Alisae wrote:If the setup was Friends and Enemies (I think thats the one) you would not be saying this.
I can shut down the entire rest of what you say here with two words:
It isn't.

If this were Friends and Enemies, yes, I wouldn't say that--but this isn't Friends and Enemies. This is a theme game which while it may not be role madness is going to be pretty close there to. Krazy setups are ALWAYS PR-heavy; we're talking, I'm usually the one who gets him to add an extra VT or two in and I wasn't involved, PR-heavy. The typical VT level in a Krazy game is like ~3-5 at most; the rest of us are all various different types of PRs or scum.

Because there are so many PRs.
It is inherently different from a setup in which the only PR is the masonry.

Don't pretend a masonry-only-PR game is comparable to a borderline-role-madness-PR game; the two are night and day different and what I said was specific to the latter because that's the game we're actually fucking in. What I said was pertinent and relevant to THIS game. No fucking shit it doesn't apply to Friends and Enemies, but we're not playing Friends and Enemies.

The problem with that is that there's gonna be four scum and your reads don't really seem conductive to giving a scumteam, here.
One scum in Shiro/TTTT means the other is town.
Which would mean two scum in {Xtoxm, Flavor Leaf, Cafe, Skygazer, Emperor FlippyNips}.

Do you honestly think that {Pink Ball, Shiro/TTTT, two of Xtoxm/Flavor Leaf/Cafe/Skygazer/Emperor FlippyNips} works as a scumteam?

I don't.

I don't think most of those reads are
bad
, mind you. I'd take Flavor Leaf, Skygazer, and maaaaaaaaybe Xtoxm out of the pool altogether, but that's it. (Mind you, don't think Emperor FlippyNips is scum, but I also don't really feel like he's a strong enough read to fight against a scumread on.)
But I think you have scum higher up as well.

For the record, generic response (I did tell Elsa more about this in the PT), I tend to be around once or twice a day, if that, at best. Sometimes only once every other day. Mafia drains a lot from me and I just don't have the energy to constantly devote every second to it--not even in games I am genuinely enjoying.

When I am genuinely enjoying a game, I will put more into it than a comparatively-less-fun-game, but I still have limits. I still want to be doing OTHER things than the game. (For instance, right now I want to spend time with my girlfriend; I'm not because of ~personal gf stuff~, but it's still what I'd PREFER to be doing more than right now.) I still want to be elsewhere, I still want to only spend so much time on the game, before I go elsewhere. There's just too much time/effort to be invested if I were to go all-out on a game and I literally can't do that--not even with the support of a partner like I have here.

There's also a question of whether I SHOULD be around.
I get more productive, useful, actual game content, out of being around for a while, then leaving, and coming back...
...Than I do constantly being around never-ceasingly.

Not only is it because the quality of my content is better (because I'm more refreshed, more able to be clear each and every single time I come back), it's also because it allows others to post things that they otherwise wouldn't get a chance to post. My presence alters the nature of the content being posted at the time I am around; this is one of the reasons why I prefer to post when nobody else is around. Because I like my presence to have minimal effect on the posting of others at the time, but maximum effect on the posts of people AFTER I come in, if that makes sense.

Basically, people who come in and see that I've caught up post differently than people who come in and see that I am actively posting; the former I've found is more valuable than the latter.

So I'm pretty much never around when it's convenient, and while this is partially because of my schedule (I work when people are around and am free when others are either working or asleep), it is also largely by design and an intentional choice I make in every game I play.

And that was one of the best possible partners for me to get and I legit think Elsa's on that tier, too--not the trash-tier you'd associate that with, but on the tier which is "almost as good as can possibly be gotten".
There
are
mason partners who're even higher, but those are players that there's natural synergy with without being a mason; Nacho, Ginngie, Pine, camn, etc. The tier directly below that in terms of awesome mason partners is players that there's synergy with specifically because of being a mason; Yume, Varsoon, Elsa, etc. are the players of that tier.

The tiers below that are the tiers of players who don't really produce that synergy. For instance, you; have a hard time imagining me synergizing at all with you in any way so you'd be a TERRIBLE mason partner for me.

But I digress.

(Generally speaking for a scumteam of four, the most you want is six. You can potentially have UP TO eight, but you don't really WANT to have more than six. Basically, scumteam of 4, 4 scumreads = perfect, 8 scumreads = maximum, 9+ = you're doing it wrong, 6 = most you want to have, 5 = perfectly fine, 7 = not optimal, but acceptable spot. So I have one more than I want, but one less than the maximum acceptable to have.)

Creature's actually been fairly inactive site-wide relatively speaking (sure he's been around and been posting but compared to normal he's been much less active in the last week or two or so), so his drop in activity doesn't send me red flags here.

Give him at least a full day phase, probably two, then make a call then, referring to his overall site activity level and his activity level in this game to see if he's scum or just borderline-siteflaking-town.

Nice shade-throw, but I can 100% prove that the informed claim is 200% a realclaim.
Not, mind you, that it's town though that's a solid ~90% (give or take 5%), but it is absolutely a real claim and I can prove to you why even without knowing what the Information TTTT has is.
Do it and I vote myself. Put your money where you mouth is.
Sure.

Every single Krazy Game He's modded has included, or ALMOST included, an Informed role. (Legacy of the Void almost had an Informed mechanic, but was scrapped; I'd know this as I was involved in the process but this mechanic existing is public record since Krazy mentioned it at some point in a now-public location, beit the dead PT or postgame in game thread.)

How would he, magically, know how to claim a role like that?

Occam's razor; he has that role (or even if he's scum and doesn't, his scumteam DOES).

I said it didn't make him town, but it is 100% a real roleclaim especially given that at some point he can prove his role's real just by outing the information he has; that outted information can often be proven true given simple basic time to be shown. As a hypothetical example, knows there are masons in the game; had we not claimed, then we could then after that claim to verify.

Sure.

Name your preference in:
{Cafe Stile, Pink Ball, Alchemist21, Titus, Shiro, Panzerjager, CheekyTeeky}.
Realistically speaking, nobody outside of these names is going to get lynched.
(Heck even among them Titus probably isn't getting lynched because lack of support, but OH WELL.)
And if they did, it would be because they're flipping town.

Inside this pool's your best shot for a D1 lynch landing on scum; pick one and stick to it.
I'll support a wagon on any of them.

By the way, for the purposes of VCA, TTTT counts as a townflip because the scum had no way of knowing that TTTT wasn't town; as far as they were concerned, TTTT was not aligned with them and therefore they knew TTTT wasn't a scumflip and therefore they 'knew' TTTT was town.

Obviously, tho, as far as D1 flips not on groupscum go, TTTT's about as good of a flip as we can get because it means less town death per night, butyeah. Not what I'd call a scum lynch, because scum thought they were lynching town and were surprised to learn they didn't.

We lynched outside my lynch pool yesterday and my lynch pool remains the same today as a consequence.

In post 2810, Flavor Leaf wrote:He was still playing in an off way than I was used to, though.i think it counts for town haha
Oh he was not town so town had legitimate reason to scumread him which meant that town players can't be faulted for lynching him because he wasn't strictly speaking a mislynch, but the scum had no reason to KNOW town had legitimate reason to scumread him--in other words, scum had no reason to KNOW scumreads on him were legitimate; as far as the scum were concerned, any of them voting for TTTT would be voting for a mislynch.

Basically it means that there's a slight difference from normal for scumhunting. When you have a proper mislynch, town thought they had legitimate reasons but did not, scum faked reasons they knew weren't legitimate; when you have a lynch on a 3p, town legitimately had legitimate reasons, but critically, scum's reasons were
still faked
. Which is where I'm coming from RE: it being counted closer to being a townflip for VCA.

Urrrgh I was planning on contenting tonight but I'm not sure I have the...energy? Fortitude? Endurance? Lucidity? Mental awareness? Willpower? Some term like that, to do it.

From my experience thusfar tonight, for the last hour or so I've been at "bare minimum" levels of functioning, and I'm only getting worse.

Bad idea to try to start catching up tonight.

I'm free all of tomorrow, tho, so I should be able to post then.

I've been busy, and I am sorry for not having posted real content, but I CAN post it now. I have the time. I just...apparently need a night's sleep.
And tomorrow, I'll NOT ONLY have the time...BUT ALSO have that not-half-asleepness I have now. Throw insults at me if I haven't at least started by this time tomorrow. :P

No, we're masons.
We're just bad ones.

We're conftown played wrong; we're conftown that give conftown a bad name. The conftown that sit around in a game and do nothing, rather than the conftown that lead the game spearheading lynches and uniting the town. But conftown is conftown all the same, no matter how shitty the play.

And I am truly sorry for that; I AM trying here to get more active and more involved and contributing more and actually doing stuff.

I'll lynch Alchemist if that's really what you want because Alch is basically caught confscum, but I also am absolutely dead serious that I am 98% certain a town CheekyTeeky does

Oh and by the way.

As an expert in Krazy setup design.

Can confirm that Flavor Leaf's functionally-3p claim is absolute horseshit.

It is absolutely not a role Krazy would design.

So Flavor Leaf is 100% fakeclaiming that shit.

Counterpoint: jjh not going down is precisely why you would fakeclaim a guilty on him.

Because he didn't get lynched on D3.

Also the only reason people wanted to lynch jjh was a lull in his activity--one which was temporary and based on real life shit interfering with his ability to play at 100%. jjh at 100% is painfully obviously town and this is, 100%, his towngame through and through, so.

While Krillin has that move in his moveset, that move wasn't his originally. (It was originally Tien's move.)

You know what Krillin's signature move is?

Destructo Disc.
Reading about that btw brought me to this little tidbit from that wiki.

How about the fact that Pink Ball roleblocked Alchemist21 after this and that night there was no Ki nightkill?

How about we not violate occam's razor and go for the simplest explanation for actions?
