I think we should strand today, we can essentially treat it like a lynch if we need to by shooting the stranded player, and whoever said we have less chance of losing after stranding is right. Revealing honestly what we did day two is definitely a good idea, but I don’t think making a plan of who will shoot who in groups is a good idea as it just gives mafia something to exploit.

We should absolutely not do this before one mafia is dead and the masons have revealed.
If the strand is mafia, the remaining mafia shoot, everyone dies except the strand and mafia win.
If the strand is town, both goons baricade and the mafia win.
Delta's plan only works because the two masons outnumber the one goon if the goon were to baricade.

Here’s the possible scenarios then
If the goon and strongman are in separate pairs:
The goon barricades, all town shoot. The only surviving player are the masons, town read, and the goon, the masons strand the goon and win.
The goon shoots, all town shoot. Everyone dies except the masons and the town read, we win.
The goon and strongman are in the same pair:
One of the masons/townread die, it’s 2v2, town lose.

The only times this plan fails is if we put both mafia members in the same pair, or if we get the one town read wrong. Having one strong town read is a pretty low bar to set for a plan, and the chance of mafia being in the same pair changes based on the number of players, but is pretty low. We should do better than random chance anyway, since the masons will be pairing people.

Town doesn't actually lose when majority is lost. So if the game ends up 2v2 it depends who gets the votes off faster. A tie in votes will never result in a no strand. Even if the Mason were to be stranded the remaining townie can take a shot on the strongman. 1v1 also comes down to the faster vote. Stranded loses regardless.

I also say this using the standard mafia wincon but I'll double check in case scum do win when town loses majority.

You're probably right that this isn't constructive. I'm just annoyed with myself from misreading Dong and insomnia in our last game together, and [redacted because game is ongoing]. I know I have to change my approach to rageposters but I don't know what the right one is.

You could start by not exhibiting the bad traits your are railing against.

Then once you stop waving your erection around you could read what Kuribo was actually saying.

You figure out if someone is being an asshole by watching them act like an asshole. You figure out if they are a fan of explatives by watching them post.

You figured out eventually that I was town in that game but I wasn't the nicest of people. Insom was scum and was an asshole. Icon had his moments and was town. Look for motivations, not tone.

I'm insanely bad at reading Ico and was prepared to ignore him completely but A.) I agree Hectics "he can only be scum if he's scum with me, I'll leanscuk on him" is at best bad, but more likely cheeky scum. Don't recall who it was in reference to. If it was Gandalf then all the better because I'd shoot him too.

And B.) Highly more likely town latches onto what they deem as a slip regardless of how weak.

And Thirdly.) I think he's on the mark with Gandalf. Even flipflopping town has clear intention behind their read trajectory because they are starting with an uninformed baseline, naturally they will trust their reads above anyone elses. Unless I suspect a hard pocket, if I'm mind melding with another player on my scumreads I'm probably consciously or subconsciously going to view that as a town mindset. I know I'm town and they are thinking along the same lines as myself.

Whereas scums baseline is that every person not in their pt is town and they have to push town regardless. You're, for the most part, fabricating every read you have. No offense to anyone here but I think two players here at most have the ability to fake town trajectories as scum and one of them probably bleeds scum elsewhere in their play anyways.

I liked Icos stance on Gandalf a lot more than the superficial reasons everyone else has given for Gandalf being town and 754 reads as overly cautious of what other slots think of him and who he's townreading. Or just cautious about how he joins wagons, which reads scummy to me.
