he was a Survivour I would be all for giving him a joint win with the town. My problem is I don't believe his claim, and I just can't tell if it's town or scum motivated. Right now I'm leaning town, but I guess I am not sold on it just yet.

As for my vote, whatever RVS vote I place I don't need to switch until I have a reason to; i.e. when i;m ready to vote someone scummy for the lynch, or -at the very least- if there's a growing wagon on the person I'm voting that I need to decide if I really want to lynch them or not.

Right now the game is young and most of us are half serious/half fooling around, so I won't bother unvoting my town lean just yet.

Attention please: This is a general notice, and is not directed at any one in particular..

Let's say we have a player named X, and that player has a reputation of having decently good scum game. You see that player playing in a way that "you deem" to be scummy. The first thing you should ask yourself is WHY they're doing it. If they're "good scum" in general then they sure as hell won't be that obvious a scum on D1 if they really were scum. Som do you drop your guards? Absolutely NOT. You just back off and see what they're up to, because it doesn't make sense for an experienced good scum player to look scummy on D1, so it's either you are way too perceptive (hint: you're not), or you are missing something (hint: You are).

Now add to that that those who know how to read sad player all agreed he hasn't done anything scummy (by their standards of reading him based on their extensive past experience with him) and you should be almost positive you

are

missing something.

Seriously though, it's a combination of how they phrase their posts for some and how they react to stuff for everyone. Stuff maybe stuff I said or stuff someone else said. I know how X would react to something. I know Y would see "that thing" as an opportunity to push a mislynch on someone. So, when "that thing" happens and they don't push it, and -in fact- try to find the town motive behind it I figure this isn't their scum game.

I'll give you one example (and one example only) as a means to elaborate on the idea: profii asked me if I had asked him something to convey that I was town )this happened after IO posted my list, I know, but it's a good example, and it also confirmed my read on him). The question he was referring to was me asking if he had a personal PT. He was the Cop in that game (in which I was the mod), and he thought I was crumbing Cop. And

although I am a Cop

I told him that wasn't my intention. For profii to think that was a crumb is NAI, but for him to ask the way he did rather than just keep silent and deal with me at night is town indicative.

Also, many players (you included) keep referring to my "scum pool list" as such, when I clearly said I had no reason to TR them yet it didn't mean I FoS them all. I dunno why people like to be selective in their comprehension of what's been typed. That's too stupid to be pushed as scum indicative of Hopkirk, because he was quoting my post every single time, so it's clearly he had a brain fart and decided what he misread was the truth. In his mind he believed I has a scum lean on Hectic despite the test he was quoting said otherwise.

Quite simply I think he sees what I see in Hopkirk and I find it both saddening and mildly surprising that no one else has pointed it out (profii came close but it wasn't enough -- won't hold it against the guy though). But let's push this all aside. Tell me something: Would you rather an active game of a half roster of lurkers game? What is the best time to get rid of dead weight? is it at the start of the game or more towards the end of it?

Me? I'm willing to lose the game in exchange of denying the lazy lurkers the chance to be rewarded for their lurking (not to mention raising my blood pressure and killing my motivation to play in the process).

If I was a Vig I would be shooting in that pool regardless of who we lynch or how they flip. If I knew there's a Vig I'd be directing them to shoot in that direction. Unfortunately, neither is the case and I'm left with only one option, which is to call for their lynch.

What I'm trying to say is at least half of the current voters on Booth are town (and that's being way too conservative tbh, as I think only 1-2 scums would be on him at this stage if he is indeed town). This means there's plenty of reason for TOWN to be suspicious of the slot, and you should at least wait for him to give any kind of AI reaction to it before you jump to his aid.

The thing is Aaron scum claimed because there is absolutely NO TOWN MOTIVE behind voting a claimed PR on D1 (not even a direct CC in a game this size). "not really a crumb" isn't even feasible either. What's a crumb to Mr Aaron? From my PoV it's a valid crumb and it proves Elements had "Watcher" in his mind all day at the very least. That's an excerpt from the wiki. Also, Tracker can track someone to a night kill, but can't guarantee they were the only one to visit the victim. Unless "Ninja", the Watcher can tell us whether the victim was targeted by only one person, thus can get a hard guilty on their own.

@Carca: SERIOUSLY, you should have talked to the mod BEFORE you outed this. So, I get that you're Ascetic. And a Voyeur targeting you should get a No Result under Normal Guidelines. But the mod could have made a mistake.

But that's irrelevant. My problem here is you outed your Ascetic, meaning you cannot be protected. (I guess that's what you meant by "I'm a dead man"). Now imagine the 10% probability the mod did make a mistake turned to be true.

I am not saying you should not have outed. I am saying you should have checked with the mod FIRST just in case that was the case.
