About being a garbage recruit? Yeah, I'm an awful recruit. About disliking cults? Also yeah, I dislike cults.
Y'know, in the absence of a hard flip I'm scumhunting and I'm going to 100% not care what flavor the scum comes in.- GreyICE

Okay, I checked it and it said "just a possible cult-like situation" which to me says someone could swap alignment. Anything from a town who turns traitor (or into a serial killer or something) to someone who can recruit for a scumteam or somesuch. Doesn't say "full fucking cult" to me, partially because, well, cults are basically unbeatable in small games.
Regardless, this is a giant waste of time and energy. I prefer BEF's new direction after ignoring it.

No, I'm sorry, it's not "scummy as fuck" if you're town. Town can't be "scummy as fuck" because scumhunting is about FINDING SCUM, not about checking off some checklist of how to play the game properly.
What really gets me here is that you were voting for Senator. So you agree that he was scummy. And why not? He was scummy. What are we supposed to do if a scummy person is like "I'm not claiming". Go "oh okay, that makes sense, guess you're unlynchable now?"
This really feels like you were planning to blame him for the hammer and are sticking to the plan. It's not a good look overall. In post 206, Korina wrote:Turkey, why instantly hammer?- GreyICE

Hey Hydra? Can I offer you some advice? If you think I'm town, let me work. If you see me rallying a wagon and disagree, then it's a good time to do this shit. Otherwise, let people do their thing. This is not the mordhaus show.

Pedit: @GrayIce, I'm a mason. Look at my ISO to find my partner.
I literally just wanted to

B) get your head in the game of scumhunting

Probably. There's only four living players who weren't on the wagon so while a scumteam of Emperor/Roster/Elbirn wouldn't shock me or something (actually specifically Elbirn with the way he's been pushing "that wagon is all SCUUUMMMM" despite three actual confirmed townies on it) it also would be... not a first, but fairly surprising. I'm pretty sure I've seen an all-town day 1 town lynch, but I couldn't name the game.
Would 1 on/2 off surprise me? Not really. Nor would 2 on/1 off. I feel hard pressed to say it's 3 on or 3 off, both seem extreme. But my overall sentiment is I agree with what Mordhaus said. I wasn't going to come out and bag on the dead too hard, because that's tacky, but Senator fucking sucked (and if you're reading this, next game, please don't do whatever the fuck that was my dude). I have a hard time seeing votes for him as super alignment indicative. My strongest read off the wagon is that Elbirn apparently thinks Senator was the god of town, and I don't fucking see why. I'd like to push it, but I'd like another ~24 hours to see if something happens that I'm curious about.
P.S. Yes, this all goes out the window if there's a cult or something non-standard Korina.- GreyICE

I unvoted when we had the same reaction to the Korina posting. That's what I was referring to with logical synergy.
I'm caught between a rock in a hard place because I like you but your flip gives a fair amount of info for the game state at large.
And then you'd tell me
Then I'd get annoyed it doesn't make sense
Then you'd get annoyed because it makes perfect sense and I can't be this thick
Then I'd get annoyed that you're annoyed because it doesn't make sense
Then you'd get annoyed that I have a tiny T-Rex pea brain
And we'd get dramonic's game all over again
So lets stop this and we both owe each other a few shots of whiskey or whatever your favorite poison is next meet.
I'll accept it, and I can see where TD's death looks like it might be me because we were barking at each other at game start, and hells if I'm against NK analysis. Speaking of, why would someone want to kill TD? I don't have much experience with him.- GreyICE

Okay, it's time for my wall post. First, I've been trying to see who believed my claim, versus who challenged me. I know that scum would trust my claim, and look to avoid getting shot if I was lynched, while I figured town might be like "I don't believe you, fuck you, get hung." If nothing else, even if I did get run up, it would give me some idea who to shoot.
Unfortunately I have ONLY ONE READ FROM THIS. The only people who have antagonized me even a little are either confirmed town (who are... town). So FUCK THE POLICE. You know what this game isn't? IT ISN'T BRUTAL. THIS IS THE LEAST BRUTAL GAME OF MAFIA EVER. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. THAT IS FUCKING UNACCEPTABLE. IT IS TIME FOR SOME BRUTAL READS.
Emperor flippyNips- Is busy. That is NOT metal. METAL GOES HARD. YOU ARE SOFT LIKE JOE BIDEN'S DICK. THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE A FUCKING ALIEN SCUMSUCKER THOUGH. YOU ARENULL
RosterFoster- This man has not posted on MafiaScum since September 8th. HE MAY HAVE BEEN EATEN BY ALIENS IN REAL LIFE. THIS ISNULL. NOT BRUTAL
Mordhaus- OUR HOME IS FUCKING BRUTAL AND METAL AND AWESOME. IT'S TOO BAD ITS INFESTED BY THAT SMELLY PERVERT DR ROCKSO. BUT WHO THE FUCK CARES. HE IS.TOWN
TITUS- She kicked her husband's balls so hard they flew through the top of his skull and landed on a mountain where a wolf ate them. THAT'S FUCKING METAL. IT'S TOO BAD IT MAKES IT HARD TO READ HER THOUGH.
I honestly want to say she's town. Despite something that gives her a clear excuse and permission to fuck off and live her own life, here she is, trying to help us. If anything, my biggest reservation is that she makes too much sense. I usually don't understand Titus' logic. Then again, that's meta from like four years ago, and FUCK META. META IS READING OLD GAMES. OLD GAMES AREN'T METAL.
But seriously I'd like to slot her in ashere.TOWN
Flubbernugget- I'll be honest, I think this guy is town. It's a little bit gut, it's a little bit he's active and his activity has coincided with people I don't like wanting to lynch him. It's the weakest of my TOWN reads. Oh and dude? Selling yourself short by saying your good reads were a fluke? THAT'S SOFT AND WEAK. YOU MUST BE MORE BRUTAL. TELL EVERYONE IN THE TOWN YOU ARE A FUCKING GOD AND HAVE MOST OF THE SCUMTEAM NAILED. WATCH THEM RUN AND SCREAM AND BLEED.
- But barely.Town
Elbirn- He's pretty ballsy scum, if he's scum. Just coming out and pushing. But he says its his personality. His personality is a little metal. Like a crappy metal. Maybe tin, or gallium, or something like that. NOT HARD METAL.
BUT SERIOUSLY Why is he pushing for DR DREW VERSUS FLUBBERNUGGET?
Am I still scum or not, Elbirn? BECAUSE I HAVE A FUCKING GUN IF YOU WANT TO LYNCH ME. IT'S PRETTY METAL.
Seriously, ever since poking me about the vengeful townie claim a little, he's moved on to Drew and Flubber. It's like he knows I am a vengeful townie, and wants to see my reads before he pushes for my lynch.
Doctor Drew- Ugh. So, one of the reasons I initially wasn't posting as much was I wanted to see what Drew did after saying he'd play better. I like giving people some space when I don't have a good read to see what they do. And Drew has played a little better. A little.
Unfortunately his main thing was to back off pushing me. I don't like that. Not one bit. It feels like he is distinctly afraid of me. And the content has been lacking.
Scumteam: Elbirn/Dr. Drew - weak distancing attempts between them, and both of them are playing poorly.
Shoutout to: Roster/Emperor. Probably the third scum is in there.
BEF/Korina/Gobble:I'd like to lynch in those two. Gobble, I'd prefer Drew or Elbirn to Flubber, given my druthers.
Vote: Elbirn

Actually yes, Titus, if we were facing a full cult in a mini I'd expect to have all that and more besides. Last cult mini I was in (Walking Dead mafia) had masons, vig guns handed out every time the cult successfully recruited, and various searching roles, as well as cult-proof townies, and we still lost to a surprise serial killer who was town until day 4 (Fate). And we still only got close to winning because one of the cultists had a grudge against the cult leader and claimed cult and outed the leader so we could lynch him. I'd expect all that and more if we were facing a cult, because small towns can't beat cults. It's an ugly math equation we never lynch our way out of.
Do you think Drew is a better choice than Elbirn? I feel like you're sleeping on Elbirn, while Drew is getting a lot of attention simply because he's posting more frequently.- GreyICE

Christ, I dunno. You tell me how to effectively cult hunt. At the moment, I know that Emperor, the two Masons, and Gobble are confirmed non-cult leader (with the small caveat that if Drew was recruited cult day 1 thismightbe a cult fakeclaim to cover his cult leader Emperor). And the moderator doesn't think cults are bastard.
That basically means everyone else is on the table for me for lynching the cult leader. There won't be any associative tells, because they started the game as a solo player who just didn't want to be noticed. If Emperor or Drew was recruited last night then they're scum too.
I see a world where Drew is a fakeclaiming cult leader, and I think it might be worth lynching, but at the same time the role has high enough utility and is silly enough that if it's genuine and we lose it, we're screwed.
All I know is that I tend to avoid cult games like the plague.- GreyICE
