Looks like some explanation is required:

I have exclusively played mafia in person with my buds. Due to that I am very accustomed to days taking 5-10 minutes as opposed to 7-8 days. I didn't realize that the intention was to wait until the last day/second to last day to lynch, so I became eager with my vote to Jake, thinking he was acting scummy, but also planning for contingency that I was being taken for a ride by EspeciallyTheLies (he was the reason I suspected Jake the most due to his 60 post). My suspicions about Especially were mostly due to me being used to my in person mafia history. Its very much a "say what your gut is feeling and see how they defend themselves". Only issue with that is i was afk for a little bit and wasnt able to respond/see responses (ironic I know after scumming Especially for afk in 92).

I am going to keep my vote on Jake for now because, as its been pointed out by several people, he has been screaming for people to add content, while putting out minimal content himself. The fact that he reads himself as locktown while seeing many of us doubt him and state our doubts, as well as what we need from him to quell those doubts seems arrogant. Definitely missing the point.

Moonchild I'm reading as a slight-town. Definitely spotted the townslip from her, but I've played games where new people ask those sort of questions that confirm them as town, but its all a feign to throw everyone off (I believe I did this my very first mafia game). Not saying this is the case, just something thats in the back of my head. @Moonchild, regarding my short responses, that was me misunderstanding the nature of this style, Also a question: Why is your read on me on 180 SO different than your read on 131? I said nothing in between those posts yet somehow your reads changed from "looks to be scumhunting and thinking in a pro-town manner" to "I have them (him is cool btw) on my radar"...

After catching up on the content that everyone has been posting, and understanding the online aspect of this game a little better, my suspicions of EspeciallyTheLies are no more. Naturally i am always cautious around experienced players because they have the strong advantage of knowing what theyre talking about, whether truthfully as town, or manipulatively as scum. My gut always tells me to suspect the latter. Reading your analyses though, I find myself agreeing with most of your reads. I apologize for my stab-in-the-dark scumread.

Jocus is a firm town in my eyes. I assume this means that Jake will pounce on a Loser/Jocus scumteam, but the fact that Jake suspects Jocus as scum just for tunneling on him reassures me that he is 95% town in my eyes.

Regarding Yimmy, It seems like the main case for his scumread is the fact that he defended jake during RVS. Can somebody explain the significance? Before he said something I was thinking of saying something myself...

Pyro's ISO read brought some clarity on both him, and other players, but I'd like to address that I used "them" because I was unsure of the pronouns of who I was talking about. (something Moonchild just did in 180, and I'm doing now with Dunnstral, since they havent posted a lot I'm unsure of their pronouns).

Tbh I don't have a solid read on Pyro Yimmy or Sauce.

So we all know I am most definitely a night owl so I wake up late and stay up late (at least 3am EST) . Is there any way to enable notifications so I know when new posts are added?

@Jake the way you formatted your reading was based on the way Pyro formatted his reading. You barely added anything to Pyros readings. The biggest change was that you corrected his reading on you stating that you were 100% locktown. Obviously those of us that are town view ourselves as 100% town so does it even need to be said? You didn't comment at all about Pyro's note that you are sowing chaos or that that he was okay with a policy vote. The fact that you completely ignored this and chose not to comment at all and instead state something that clearly not everyone else is convinced of seems deflective and scummy.

The current towncore I have is:
EpsTheLies, PyroDerma, and Myself.
EspTheLies is experienced as many have pointed out, but they were one really high advocator that I was scum. Now, I'm pretty sure that they were someone who suggested that we not lynch me just yet, even if I flip scum, as there wouldn't be enough Info for the 2nd scum.
PyroDerma: All in all, has a pretty sound ISO (although I did take problem to it), and really rounded as a Pro-Town player.

I really can't get over this.
I do suspect a shit ton of the stuff that he's posted but most of it's stuff that I have issues with sometimes scumreading people for when it's just a playstyle read.

But none of this makes sense from a town perspective. The way that he discredits ETL is super weird. The fact that he 'does not buy' her play and yet is voting the same person she's voting. The fact that he assumes that she's bussing one of them to establish herself as a townread as opposed to, like, town pushing a random mislynch. People who do not bus tend to systematically underrate the likelihood of bussing and newb!town also tend to systematically underrate the likelihood of bussing. Then you have this guy confidently declaring that ETL is bussing but he wants to help her bus. Nyeh.

On the other hand, this makes complete sense as scum like regardless of circumstance.
1) If ETL is town, he's setting up a push on her the next day using the townflip as bait.
2) If ETL is scum, he's distancing but setting up to push these people as scumpartners even if ETL gets scumread. Hell, he could even have legitimately intended to push her for the flip.

Okay, RCs case actually made me suspect ETL (don't know if thats because I'm gullible to exp. players or nah), but then the cop claim brought me back. Definitely think its possible that its a fake claim, but I think ETL saying she has no reason to claim early in a newb game is pretty valid.

RC I can see why you're scumreading Yimmy, but I don't really see the case for Dunn as scum? Hes definitely not town in my eyes, but all I really have on him is his absence. So my question to both you AND ETL is, why Dunn over Yimmy?

My issue with you thinking Loserdude is fine is I don't see _why_. Loserdude mostly posts within the 'butterspot' of the third or fourth voter, and leaves the actual hammer or bandwagon to someone else. You can see it in his vote history, he never leads, just follows, and a lot of his posts are neutral. You see it as "confusion" I see it as 'keeping your head down".

Love this analysis, truly. Allow me to respond. You say this is your second game? This is my first online ever. This medium is crazy weird to me. I was getting frustrated because its clear based on everybody’s reactions that my town game is garbage. Because I’m so used to reading faces and tones, this whole “reading people through text” is whack to me and I’m not very good at it. I’m both hyper suspicious and hyper gullible. My friend (BBmolla) told me things will get easier after the first day. So for now, since I’m coming up with nothing with my analysis/reads, I’m following experienced players. Which is why atm I’m not adding much because I feel I’d only get in the way. RC came around for me (he frustrated me at first, but that was a me issue not a him issue), so I’m choosing to trust his judgement and voting where he votes, only for day 1. Once we see the flip, I’ll (hopefully) start getting better and more competent reads.

Right now I'm getting SRs from Yimmy, Dunn, and Moon. You are a breath of fresh air compared to her tho so I could go back on that once i hear some more detailed analysis from you. Before RC subbed in I was feeling Pyro too, but now I'm less confident in that. my SR on Yimmy and Dunn are honesty more vibes than anything.

I think the fact that you've been silent the whole game, only to start making an effort/having an insanely good read on Yimmy (in my opinion obvi) just before you got hammered, AND right after realizing that the two other people contributing were getting town vibes on me after you named me your scummiest (753 and 767), I think this is a last ditch attempt to save yourself by bussing your partner. Well I was looking at @Saus’ last game. It was his first one and he was scum, his scum buddy was very much carrying him. I also noticed that he was posting significantly more in the main thread than he is in this one. Some of that was due to prompting from his partner and some not. Idk if this actually helps at all, I was just thinking if we are going the inexperienced scum route Saus makes sense.

My issue with you thinking Loserdude is fine is I don't see _why_. Loserdude mostly posts within the 'butterspot' of the third or fourth voter, and leaves the actual hammer or bandwagon to someone else. You can see it in his vote history, he never leads, just follows, and a lot of his posts are neutral. You see it as "confusion" I see it as 'keeping your head down".

Love this analysis, truly. Allow me to respond. You say this is your second game? This is my first online ever. This medium is crazy weird to me. I was getting frustrated because its clear based on everybody’s reactions that my town game is garbage. Because I’m so used to reading faces and tones, this whole “reading people through text” is whack to me and I’m not very good at it. I’m both hyper suspicious and hyper gullible. My friend (BBmolla) told me things will get easier after the first day. So for now, since I’m coming up with nothing with my analysis/reads, I’m following experienced players. Which is why atm I’m not adding much because I feel I’d only get in the way. RC came around for me (he frustrated me at first, but that was a me issue not a him issue), so I’m choosing to trust his judgement and voting where he votes, only for day 1. Once we see the flip, I’ll (hopefully) start getting better and more competent reads.

@menalque Well there was this when Arkais was still alive. Why would Scum!me NK someone who either believed me or at least was beginning to believe me for town? Especially in a game where everybody is scumreading me based on my playstyle? As scum, I'd need all the allies I could get. There is no way Arkais dies while I'm scum Night 1. THAT's where scumteam's biggest mistake in the NK was. Which is why I'm weary of you pushing for me when at this point, it really doesn't make logical sense for me to be scum.
