objectively speaking, it would be super unreasonable for town not to lynch me (the jester).

yeah, idk what it is about jester setups but I feel it's pretty common in my experience for the activity to suck

In regular setups, town theoretically care a lot about preventing their own lynch, and spamming is the easiest way to do that, so that's probably part of it?

I also feel like site meta is really apathetic in general lately? (Myself included...)

We were all trolling on day 1, and then the one person who got annoyed and wanted to play seriously (Chemist) was shot down and scumread for it.

I occasionally play other setups

I don't really feel like taking mafia seriously rn (and when I do I'm pretty competitive about it so it takes a lot of energy or whatever) and jester games feel like a good place to do that
