Maybe this is because I played in a game where Wimpy replaced out after a protracted argument so I have prior experience...

...But I feel like if you just read the thread it was obvious that Wimpy did not want to invite pressure on himself. I guess my experience of Wimpy made me think "he knows he is liable to arguing and its negative" rather than "he doenst want pressure because he is noob-scum who might slip, must scum read this!"

The point is, no matter which way you justify it, Alch did not come to the obvious conclusion of "wimpy would prefer less pressure" - the reason is irrelevant.

I guess you could kinda say if Alch declares Wimpy as able to deal with pressure, he might encourage another player to pressure Wimpy, which might have an overall negative impact on gamestate if it sets something off, which is pro scum...

but that is obviously massively convoluted and we have seen straight through it, so I can't see it as something someone would think of as optimal scum play.

So I'm not giving scum points out. I'm just confused about it.

But by the same token, I dont feel like you issuing me town points is really warranted because I feel it was obvious that Wimpy did not want pressure... are you trying to pocket me?

it really depends on if he actually knew it would set him off in that scenario

I felt they were both suspicious, but unlikely scum together. Wanted to suss out which direction to go. Also wanted for Chara to commit to an Aaron read, but after review, I think he's probably not scum.

After review, I'm sticking with Aaron. #288 is especially scummy.

But anyway why would town ever advocate a modkill in any situation. If the person is town we risk killing 2 town in one day. If they are scum we lose information that a lynch would have gained.

Though scum also wouldnt push a modkill if it was their partner.

I played as Masons with Profii before and he was so hungry to push the game forward and find scum, I'm not feeling that at all from him so far.

I'm mostly caught up, but skimmed some parts. I'll start ISO'ing in more detail.

My thought in that game was I had a solid claim so I could push the game as hard as I like and if I got a lot of pressure I had a self claim.

My role in this game does not self resolve so I cant play like that

Also, I want to win the game as Town, but I want to win it fairly. I don't want to win by virtue of trolling/game-throwing.

Bussing is too dangerous when you aren't aware of potential PRs

and yet I have seen it done. One of the games I was in (replaced out of) when there was just a 2 man team which is even riskier, one scum bussed and rode the wave to victory.

3 man team is easier. you hard bus a partner day 1, no investigative is looking at you. everyone hard town reads you basically. (see this game)

mislynch once or twice, and if things get dicey or it looks like the 2nd guy is getting looked at hard bus the 2nd member.


Not saying that is what is happening here, but it definitely is a valid strategy which has been used many times

I never trust "bus or no bus" mentality you have to figure out the motive behind the lynch and their other play. Alot of times when i bussed it had poorer foundation and was more sudden and obxious if you really read into it.

Question. How has this site not developed an auto vote counter?

They were going to include one with a full site overhaul but there haven't been any visible indications anything has been done irt the overhaul for like a year and a half or something

If this site allows html they can probably copy the code from my home site. Our script automates role dispersal, lynches, hammer deaths/night locks. And other stuff.

All host has to do it night actions(and day), set dls(which auto go to night when it ends), actually make it go to day and uh well use the commands to broadcast the votecount dl etc(but players can also see them in secret at any time).
