I actually kinda like day 1s for some reason. I start getting lost sometimes on later day phases, and can't be bothered to keep going back to look through a hundred pages or whatever. Day 1 feels chill

DP is obviously either scum or not a great player. This is probably the same with Hectic. The thing is they both seem so authentically mediocre that I would be impressed with any scum managing to fake play the way they do. I'm happy with policy lynches not on D1 and definitely not on the first day of D1. I also have reason to suspect at least one of the wagoners of being mafia. This is a very common tactic that mafia use - getting town to vote for the bad players instead of scum. Analysing the wagoners on Hectic.

@ROUND ONE, your post appears to be fairly non-suspect, you simply voted for him because you felt he was a bad player, although I personally wouldn't have gone so far as to vote for him.

Problems I have with 49 are the calling Pikachu and I scum without actually calling us scum, then talking seriously about policy lynching bad play but clarifying and saying he wouldn't do it on day 1 (that doesn't make sense btw, day 1 is the best day for policy lynches, but that point isn't scummy). Like, does town!Arthur actually think policy lynching is something worth discussing seriously at that point?
Then he goes onto analyse my wagoners for scum because he believes scum will be on there, but then the one person he does ask a question to (Jaiden), he feels the need to call her post non-suspect and even explain why she must be voting me, while he's apparently trying to find scum on my wagon.

Short, unfluffy answers are town-indicative for that RQS. Also, if it's his first time playing town after two scum games, I don't think "finally" emphasis or mentioning that this is his first town game is scummy. Seems par for the course.

Last game I played, the "placeholder vote" - "ill park my vote here for now, for no good reason at all" - sort of vote , ended up being a vote by scum.
And i think this kind of move is scummy. I think townies are more likely to change their mind and shift their votes organically, rather than b stilted, which i think is scummy.

Maybe, but context matters. My early game was intentionally scummy and it's fair for Natsu to keep his vote there to see where I'm going with that.

Natsu, Arthur's been criticising people for "bad play" a lot this game, whereas he did none of that in his other game. CTR-F "bad" in his ISO there and then here to see for yourself. It's also just how he's less uncertain and tentative. Though, there are other reasons he could be switching up his playstlye which I won't mention right now. Really, I just need him to come back and post more.

I'm not tunnelling btw, tunnelling is when you hone in on one person being scum and leave no alternatives and don't think about anyone else. I'm scumreading him.

So far I'm townleaning Hectic and Round one. Hectic has some eccentric, well-honed style of geniusness that is producing information earlier on. Although I'm really not liking the weird naming schemes he's using. Half the time I have no idea who he is talking about. Who is jaiden?

Round One has an idgaf posting style, and overall looks like they know what they're talking about.

I'm kind of scumleaning pikachu, but that might be due to how shallowly he is bumping heads with Round One.

Pretty much null-reading everyone else. I'm finding it pretty silly that people are bringing up scum teams this early. Also, this thread moves too fast at times. I'm hoping the massive amounts of tiny one-line posts dies out. I feel like mass-spamming the thread helps mafia more (looking at pikachu especially on this one). More than town players who say literally nothing. There's shit that I swear I saw of value that I can't even find again after rebrowsing the thread. Guess I'll have to take more frivolous notes.

I think Arthur and Spy have both shown scum equity and I vastly prefer that over anyone else. Still lean town on Pikachu. Jaiden TBD after I have a look at her other games. Luca was townish as well.

Honestly, Pikachu's been more "fighty" than any of my other games with him, but none of the frustration/rage stood out as fake, so I still think he's fine. And this feels different to the last time he was in a 1v1 as scum where he went more along with it and was more passive aggressive, it was a different tone basically (talking about Cane, Piakchu).

This post makes very little sense to me, Ima. Your plan was to flip Natsu today without any further discussion. But how can you say that we go into day 3 with at least one mafia killed if he flips green? You're a likely lynch for tomorrow, are you saying you're not town?

I'm townreading Luca and 72offsuit, even though they are scumreading me. Mainly because a lot of their reads on me have solid substance, I just don't think they know the kind of player I am.

Also, these type of "you're just town that's wrong on me" reads come more often from scum than town.

The fact his presence has diminished more and more since an eventful RVS phase, and the fact he's sat on his reads all day (Spy being scum, Natsu being Town) but now suddenly votes his TR at the drop of a hat for town credit.

Actually, I considered why Natsu could be scummy (political reads list), and saw something that was pretty towny from Ima. Also, I was on V/LA the last few days lol.

Luca: Null - He was interactive in his scum game and distant in his town game, he is being a different kind of interactive this game... but he knows I know that(I know what you're trying to do)

Pikachu: Null - I don't see scum targeting each other like that

72o: Town - Was paranoid in his town game but I'd say it is more likely that he just feels more confident that his first game(I know I did)

Hectic/Natsu: Scum - Early on I saw them as a pair. I didn't see real attempts at trying to lynch each other, they then tried to distance themselves.

R1: Town - good boy

Arthur: Town - Just playing the odds; he seemed like he really wanted to be able to solve the game but we were too silly for him

Koba: Null - Sure

The more I look at this reads list, the less it makes sense to me. Never explains his Hectic/Natsu pairing, Arthur town because "playing the odds", Pikachu null because "I don't see scum targeting each other like that"?

Since I have Luca as Null I based my read on pikachu because of that, I'm glad you brought up Arthur because I was about to say I find it weird you only mentioned the part about you and didn't question my read on Arthur, the reason I gave should be NAI.

His response didn't make any sense either for the Pikachu read. They're both null because he doesn't see scum targeting each othe like that? Why can't one be scum.

And then he admits he gave an NAI reason for Arthur but doesn't explain it. Not sure why I dropped this at the time.

Doro literally never puts a vote down since his unvote in 101. He nullreads a lot of people, mentions a scumread on Natsu/Hectic which is never brought up again/pursued. I'll revisit Natsu again later but for now:

Nah, offsuit isn't scum, his solving/reads lists have felt authentic this game. I'm a bit lost now because Ima's been upping the towniness, and John's been decent since his entrance.
I think I could get behind lynching either Natsu or Luca. Or Jaiden. Actually, she did mention something about V/LA which explains her absence.
Luca voted me for bad reasons imo and then didn't respond to me when I provided a counterpoint.

I can compromise between Natsu/Luca/DkK today, with premise that Natsu clears his slot (or forces me to reread the game) and gives ability to focus my scumreads D2, or go for my current scumreads today.

This is a little weird actually. You shouldn't compromise on someone in your second tier of townreads, pal. Push someone you actually scumread with more conviction.

This game is on lock (we're guaranteed to win) if we're in A1 or A2. Correct me if I'm wrong, Detective.

If we're in A1 and Cop has an inno check on an alive player which isn't the doc:
Cop and Doctor both claim.
The Cop checks anyone else tonight. The Doctor protects the Cop, and gets shot by the mafia (RIP, you served us well).
We go into day 3 with 2 innocent clears from the Cop, plus the Cop, which gives us 3 confirmed town and 2 potential mafia in 5 people.
We lynch one day 3, and the other day 4 for the guaranteed win.

I think it's a 90% win if a cop exists which has an innocent on someone that's alive.

The only way, that strategy above doesn't work is if the person the Cop checked was the doc. In that case, day 3 will have 2 clears (the cop and an innocent) rather than 3. Which gives mafia a chance to win, but they still have to play perfectly and avoid another cop check.
