Aloratom plays very differently as mafia. He likes to buddy people and feels inclined to fabricate reads. Here, he is honest about what's he's thinking and is not presenting and of the aforementioned behaviour. His push on me was in good faith.

Conspire has not posted much, but I really like their style. This might be more of a personality read than an alignment one.

Not only are we perceptually limited by our species umwelt, but even just from being born one person and not another: the variation in perception and cognition from person to person is seriously astounding. We go about day-to-day under the illusion that what we personally perceive is all there is and that other people more or less perceive and think in the same way, but it's just not true! Our minuscule fields of existence are nothing but shadows on a cave wall. It may be impossible to truly understand another person, but the closer you get it's like getting a glimpse of their unique configuration of shadows and finding out they are made of entirely different stuff from your shadows and it's like the best experience in the world to me.

I think there are layers (or maybe it's a spectrum) of lucidity. Like some parts of your awareness can activate and not others. For example, I've often become completely aware that I'm dreaming but try to convince my dream characters that it's just a dream. If I were fully aware however, I'd realize how irrational it is trying to convince non-existent beings of their non-existence, but I don't realize my error until I'm awake.

Naked readslist aren't necessarily void of information and that's why I've been prodding you for more nuanced opinions since entered the thread with confident reads I agree with pops/eyestott/robb/paragon (weaker now). I also want your opinions so I can dive into your thought process to help me solve you. Even when you have any fluffy posts, they're not convoluted and are easy to follow, and you ask questions consistently. My take on your posting is that it's not meant to make the game harder to read by its presence. That's a trait of an actively engaged player.

For example, Robb gets in a death tunnel on a slot for personal reasons every game and it's extremely anti-town, but it's not indicative of him being scum. In a similar vein, your read on Paragon is superficial as you've only been describing why his behavior is anti-town and not how it indicates a scum mentality. First one: I still have you as town. Scum mate analysis is independent of my individual reads. It's more like I town read you but you can still be scum sort of thing. I 100% don't want to lynch you today, but I will reevaluate upon Pop's red flip. And to a lesser extent, Luca. I think I change my mind on that team though as I don't think he would be so overt about defending against it. If Luca is scum, Taly is his partner and you're not partners with Taly.

Also no, going for the scummiest player and preflip solving aren't mutually exclusive. The fun in this game for me is solving it and I like to try to do so as early as possible as a personal challenge. That doesn't mean I'm going to lynch someone based off of pre flip analysis. Here's me stating my philosophy regarding relative reads in a previous game:

Going more into our differences: you = sensor, me = intuitive.

In a nutshell, the difference between Sensors and Intuitives is this: Sensors prefer tangible information, whereas Intuitives prefer speculation and depth of insight. So, while a Sensor will perceive data points individually (one by one) and literally (as they are in that moment), an Intuitive will perceive them concurrently (all at once) and abstractly (as they could be in the future).

Let's look at an example. Here's how a Sensor might experience a flight:

It's been awhile since I've posted this so I'll need some time to find examples. As far as the questioning goes, Pops' questions seem to have more substance, or at least did to that point, than Paragon's. And early on I got an irritating vibe from her where she seemed to be making people squirm a bit while Paragon was more of a fly that you just kept swatting at but couldn't shake.

If you could bring up concrete examples of the difference that would really be helpful. Like I'm curious which of pops posts felt like they were making people squirm and which of Paragon's felt like swatting at a fly.

This is genuinely where 80% of my read is coming from. Again though it's not something that can really be cased in a convincing way to other people. But basically it goes against pops' interaction style and our...there's a word missing from English here. I referred to it as a communication pattern before, but it's more than that. There's a time element to it. Like there's an ongoing dialogue between people even if they haven't spoken to each other in some time. And the nature of that dialogue changes with the length of the intervals between communication...so like pops would post this as town if we hadn't spoken in some time, but since we were more or less just coming from another game she would not. And specifically, because she's pops. Her interaction style is more indirect and associative and non-linear. Yeah, that's it, non-linear describes it well. Town or unaligned pops would respond to my affection in a non-linear way or not at all. Possibly a joke or a meta-commentary. Yeah, meta-commentary, like this:
