so i think that it's probably either around the middle or closer to 0, or roughly from 25 to, say, 55.
if i were to go with my own thoughts on the movie, i would say that it's probably closer to the middle than it is to 0. avatar was pretty huge when it released, very technically impressive and was the highest grossing movie ever for a while i think, but i don't feel like it's particularly beloved? like, i would probably be pretty surprised to hear someone say that it's their favorite movie.
i think i might guess somewhere in the range of 40 to 50. what do you guys think?
very strongly
either "good movie" or "bad movie" there would be other options that made a lot more sense than avatarfor that reason i think that roughly 25% from either extreme can probably be discarded? that is, i don't think the truth lies anywhere from 0-25 or from 75-100. actually, to go even further, i think that
if
the spot we're aiming for (which henceforth i'm just going to call "the target") was meant to be closer to "bad movie" than "good movie" in any significant manner, avatar would also not be the movie you would choose. i'm trying to think about this as detached from my own opinions on the movie, and more about how it makes sense as a choice. so i think that it's probably either around the middle or closer to 0, or roughly from 25 to, say, 55.

what movie would you pick if you were going for "mediocre"? i know that you said you don't see a lot of movies and this might just be me projecting my own opinion, but i feel like avatar would be a fairly decent choice if i wanted to signal "mediocre".
i think 30 is too low. at the very least i think it would be 35.

my thoughts evidently tend not to align with other people's, but i feel like the atlantic/pacific division is probably not the best way to think about things? like, if i was thinking of something to represent "really wide", the fact that something was an ocean at all would be a lot more important to me than which ocean was wider, if that makes any sense. basically, what i'm trying to say is that i think that "let me say the atlantic ocean instead of the pacific to indicate that it's slightly less wide" is not a thought process that tatsuya had.
all that being said, i think that 90 is probably a pretty good guess.

i would consider it more about the perception of the clue, really. for me, when i think of "ocean", i certainly recognize that there are some deep depths that have never been explored, but i think it would be fairly accurate to call it really wide.In post 211, shiki wrote:i guess i do not understand this game. if the atlantic ocean is taller than it is wide how could the desired number have been greater than 50?
well, that's another failed prediction on my end.In post 214, Tatsuya Kaname wrote:I meant wide in terms of the area of the ocean (in numbers) Pacific would fall 90+ for me so I go with a slightly smaller one.

oh and, for the record, my towels are just as clean as the next person's. t's just that you use towels to clean things off, so given a random towel i would assume that it's slightly more dirty than it is clean.

also, personally, i don't consider the idea that one team could copy another's left or right guess that much of a problem such that it makes three teams playing at the same time untenable
maybe if you want more depth on that particular mechanic you could even go with something like you can guess left, very left, right or very right depending on not just if you think it's to the left or right but how much to the left or right, and with different point rewards. that might be changing the game too much, though. just a random idea.

i would say that rugs tend towards being fuzzier more than being smooth? like, while we're on the subject of various floor materials, something like marble would be the smoothest. maybe in the range from 60-80? if you guys think it's closer to the middle then i guess around 60 works

erm, you really think so?
at first i thought was realistic-fantasy and that's where your 80 was coming from and i thought "well, it might be closer to the middle because a unicorn isn't like
maybe you're right though. a unicorn is like almost all horse and only a little bit fantasy. i don't really know how one would go about giving a clue for these cards, though. like, if you got 80, how do you indicate something that's way more real than fantasy but not completely so? i guess a unicorn might be a pretty good way of doing that.

maybe closer to 100 than 0? that is, above 50 rather than below it.
although i think i've been the opposite of correct almost every round this time, so if i am again then maybe i can be accurate by taking what i think and then just guessing the opposite.

the secret is that i knew that it's 100, and i deliberately chose 95. i knew that you guys will think "if it's right then they'd have already gotten it, so it must be left, there's no way it could be exactly 100", and i deliberately sacrificed one point for my team just to flex my massive intellect over everyone.

also, if you read this post and decide to choose right, just know that i'm still sixty-seven steps ahead of you, because this post is just bait to get you guys to guess right when the answer is obviously zero, because literally all evidence points towards water not being wet.In post 687, northsidegal wrote:the secret is that i knew that it's 100, and i deliberately chose 95. i knew that you guys will think "if it's right then they'd have already gotten it, so it must be left, there's no way it could be exactly 100", and i deliberately sacrificed one point for my team just to flex my massive intellect over everyone.
also, whether or not you guys guess this correctly and get the point or not and whether or not you guys win this game, it's all intentional. i won before i even signed up for this website. it's all been a part of my plan.

so "power yoga" is probably less peaceful than regular yoga, and yoga in general is probably on the peaceful side more than the chaotic side
so maybe 25-40? maybe lower, depending on how calm you would initially put "yoga" at? personally, i probably wouldn't choose it for anything lower than ~25, but that's just me. i think my best guess is around 30
