Lol it’s my fault for not reading carefully and no one’s fault that this game has had so many replacements. In post 771, Elmo TeH AzN wrote:In post 770, wavesarc wrote:Welp, skimmed through the thread last night and realized at the end I thought I had replaced into a different slot. Yeah I’m in brassherald’s slot.- wavesarc

Rereading the game start/RVS (through post 111)
Ok, so my general line of thought is that scum, especially newbies playing scum, are going to be cautious more likely than not.
gibus and votato seem much more comfortable playing than freddie. As in, they're more willing to post off the cuff than freddie--who seems naturally reserved/getting used to the game. I think newer players start off overthinking their posts a bit (tone tends to be calculated/forced neutral) and grow out of this as they become more comfortable. All this to say: Freddie seems reserved/cautious, but I don’t think it’s scummy.
Feathers has to be town right? If they’re scum, they were being coached because how else do you explain post 76 and [quote="In post 83. Even then, I don’t think scum would want to attract that much attention to their partner.
I *do* get brassherald’s issue with feathers, because they seem almost too good to be true? Like straight up understanding none of the rules and stuff like post 111 where they’re like “oh I’ve been reading guides on how to play!” They seem so eager…and then they replace out? But only my slot suspected them, and that wagon wasn’t going to gain traction, so it doesn’t really track that scum!feathers would replace out. Town!feathers makes more sense.- wavesarc

Through end of page 10.
Ok townreading Freddie. They seem kind of naturally reserved and serious, but I think it’s genuine, and their push on Lilith is assertive (post 119).
I think I…townread ironcat? Their logic sometimes feels like a stretch, but they don’t really have a problem putting it all out there and they get read/voted for it consistently—and respond by *leaning in* (post 190).
Ok, so I’m about to enter the phase where the main topic is about how Formerfish is Doing a Bit—ironcat and formerfish escalate it mutually, but ironcat gives like three angry posts where they say formerfish is triggered and accuses him of taking things personally. (post 218)
Formerfish’s vote on ironcat is a reach. I wouldn’t call ironcat overly concerned with appearances. post 223. Gibus’s vote on formerfish right after for being “disinterest” is bad tho.
No idea what to make of gibus speculating about town PRs? Where is votato?
Special mention to this gem of a post:
What I mean by leaning in…this is ridiculous content that I don’t think scum!ironcat would be putting out there? What do they have to gain by antagonizing formerfish and now Lilith? In post 245, iamironcat wrote:Possible scum buddies:

See how fish projects a lot of insecurities onto me after my vote for Lilith? I'd be proud to be your scum buddy. Too bad I'm not.- wavesarc

It fell apart because Copykat brought him to L-1 with a bad vote tho? Usually the first L-1 wagon falls apart fast?In post 353, lilith2013 wrote:I think people have been really quick to write off gibus as "newbtown" but I don't really see much progression in his posts or attempts to solve the game. I don't like his behavior around the gibus wagon--he's scumreading copykat at this point, but doesn't vote for her until the momentum shifts from gibus to her.
It fits into his pattern of behavior so far this game--his posts lack content, and really a lot of his early stuff was just answering questions. I agree that the townreading questioning is something scum could be afraid to do, but I also don't think it's a big risk--it's just a lot of WIFOM tbh. I think votato's general vibe has been pretty cheeky and that he would be comfortable saying something like that.- wavesarc

Eh, it's more a misrep because I failed at reading again--his feathers vote was in RVS. This doesn't change how I feel about him, though--I think he stuck with copykat because it was easy, and I don't think he pushed her. A lot of his posting re: copykat is in direct response to her or only prompted by her posts. It's the first major scum vibe when I re-read. I leaned town on votato when I skimmed the first time, but I don't think his posts held up when I read again and I can't shake that feeling. In post 858, Nauci wrote:
I disagree about this being low hanging fruit since many players were town reading feathers. I think that's a major mischaracterization. In post 847, wavesarc wrote:feathers at the beginning
This game has been exhausting to read through, honestly. I feel more comfortable in a game where there are multiple wagons and you can start to notice inconsistencies in actions or opportunistic votes, but this game barely has any of that. The middle of the thread revolves hard around blurred personal/game reactions to fish and ironcat and it's just a slog to parse. Beyond certain things that stuck out to me, I'm mostly going off vibes because that's all I got. It's not for lack of effort because I've spent too much time reading this thread, but it's hard to contribute much. I realize this is sounding really defeated, and I'm being honest when I say it's not in response to the votes on me and more as a result of general frustration, but eh--I'll be more grounded after we get a flip.- wavesarc

Nauci/freddie are town to me. re: the freddie wagon; I genuinely think this is a reaction to their tone--reserved, sort of a weird sense of humor. Like I said, I think their reaction to formerfish was genuine and vibed with their personality. They seem like frustrated/confused town, which I relate to.
Lean town on formerfish and osuka. Both slots (largely speaking to ironcat) have come off as genuine in their actions. formerfish has been active in pushing town, but seems comfortable/experienced enough to do this as scum, so I'm not fully convinced yet. The ironcat slot--I can't see them doing all that as scum. Like, the town wagons gibus and then the attention turns to copykat--if ironcat is scum, at least one of copykat/gibus is town. Why derail everyone with continuing the formerfish/lilith stuff?
Null on lilith and tuxedo/copykat. With lilith it's weird because I can really follow her thought process (especially her reaction to ironcat), but she does things like say "oh the gibus wagon fell apart fast" and....doesn't really follow up on that? I feel like the right move for scum!lilith is to hold back right now and that's what she's been doing. Copykat's turnaround on gibus was bad, but her reaction I could see as newbtown too? She doesn't have that many posts on the site--she wasn't very experienced and I can't really sort her actions. Tuxedo has been much more active and engaged, which is good but still makes the slot difficult to sort--this is what he would want to do as scum.
Leaning scum on gibus and still scum on votato. I've explained my read on votato--I just don't get the sense that he's really pushing his scumreads. Like, he's responding to copykat and she's clearly his top scum read after the focus turns to her post gibus wagon. But he doesn't *push* copykat, even though the wagon is stalling and formerfish/lilith/iron are interacting with each other/reacting to formerfish/ironcat. gibus is a roller coaster for me--he was super active in the beginning, then really stopped after he gained momentum on the wagon. His behavior and engagement during the beginning seemed natural. Everything after didn't seem so.
Obv I would prefer to lynch between votato/gibus. I agree that a flip on the copykat slot would be useful, and would be willing to go for tuxedo.- wavesarc

When I skimmed the thread after replacing in, I thought votato seemed present and insightful, but I noticed less analysis and push from him when I read the second time? I'm confused about your question because votato wasn't pushing on my slot at all at the time.
Re: you. Yeah ironcat was an oversized presence so I can't help but focus so much on them. I like your content--I think you're making a genuine effort to engage and scumhunt and nothing seems off. Though it's similar a bit to the tuxedo situation where a lot of people were focused on your slot and being heavily active and engaging would be what you'd want to do as scum.- wavesarc

Hi, I'm vanilla townie.
@formerfish I don't think freddie is scum. Would vote for them over myself but I'm not going to vote for someone I'm reading town for any other reason.
re: why I think votato is scum. Look at his ISO with copykat's. Votato isn't *pushing* copykat. Their posts on copykat are almost entirely replies to her. If she's his main scumread, why isn't he redirecting the topic in the thread to her? Instead the wagon stalls as formerfish/ironcat/kinda lilith go back and forth with each other. I look at votato's posts throughout the game and I see someone who is present, but spending a lot of time providing information over analysis, going after easy targets *visibly* but not really pursuing them beyond replying directly to them.- wavesarc

Freddie, can you answer this?In post 1010, Tuxedo Mask wrote:@Freddie why aren't you voting FF? And what about FF do you find scummy?
Do you scum read Copycat/Me? But I'm most interested in your read of Copycat's posts. And do you scum read Osuka/Ironcat? I'm more interested in your thoughts on Osuka's posts though.
Fish, what’s a vanity vote?
I’m not voting fish atm because I think he’s scummy but it might be deliberate. It reminds me of the quote “I think a servant of the enemy would look fairer and feel fouler”. I’m still not sure enough to vote him, which is why I never voted him.
How do I officially claim my role? Do I send a screen shot of my message from Elmo? I’m not scum.
You claim by saying what you are, if youre a town pr I would just say PR for right now, so we dont clue scum in anymorethan needed. - wavesarc
