case of TStBS

. Normally I wouldn't adopt a defensive tone like this, but we will lose both of our PRs with no extra information if we carry out a mislynch (assuming no CCs - A1).

Obviously the best move for scum at the moment would be to join the Nash wagon, and I'm confident that there's scum in {Town Looter, brassherald, ArthurConyl}.
Based on vote progression alone, I'll go for Town Looter for now. I can spot a scum agenda there.

I can give you some reads if you really want, but it seems like I had been filed into the scum pile purely for not posting when I was VLA and also not posting during a low content Day 1.

I refuse to waste my own time, and from what I can see "active lurking" aka, not being on the site 24/7 or most weekends, has gotten me a scum read I'm not going to shake with any posts, so why bother?

attitude when there is an air of scum sided pessimism flowing in the thread. Ideally I think scum!brass would have thrown away the scumreads on him by focussing on the V/LA part and give town what it wanted by probably making strong cases to carry out a mislynch (not crap like 325), which I think he would have no trouble doing given that he's one of the most experienced players this game. I don't want to put my vote here, at least for today.

Brass, in response to post 325, don't you agree with my TStBS case? I agree that "just not posting" is anti-town, but in the case of newbies it really doesn't mean much. I can show you loads of town newbies doing that. I'm pretty confident that both scum are in {Town Looter, Anthony} and I want you and the conftowns to review this. Personally, I think TL is the better choice, but I'll wait for Anthony's replacement to show up. I'd like to hear votato's thoughts as well.

You seem to be trying to turn what in my mind is a scummy post into a "scum wouldn't make that mistake"/WIFOM kind of situation. I think the simplest solution is the right one here: A scummy post was made, because the poster is scum. Vexo is new to forum Mafia, so if the slot was town I don't think you would make the argument you have, I think you would just write it off to a nervous newbie being a nervous newbie.

You got it wrong. TStBS is a valid town point, especially for newbies. I've made myself clear that I'm being defensive since we can't afford another mislynch. More mechanical information is essential for us to win this, and we can't have that if we shoot in the dark. We can, however, reduce the sample space and increase our chances of lynching scum today. I like how you throw shade at me for doing this.

This is a bad misrep, vota. We have two claims already.

After cogitating on the Brass replacement for a while I find it odd that he disappeared after he was asked for reads, a request which he would've seen (it was less than an hour after his last post).

To me, town would've acquiesced to the request - even if you aren't enjoying the game, it's a bit of a dick move to not do it. Conversely, there is massive scum motivation to not help out prior to bailing.

Then this post from his replacement.

The bit that bothers me is the confidence that the game will be solved tomorrow. This is some kind of crowd-pleasing effort that is utter BS - it can't possibly be genuine because it's simply not true. Especially not true since in the same post they put a vote on someone who is generally being read as town or null.

I'm getting to the same place as votato, but for different reasons.

Brass replaced out of all of his ongoing games. Even if that wasn't the case replacing out is NAI and I don't like how you're picking sides in the 1v1.

Brass is currently my strongest townread followed by votato (outside of the conftowns), and I'm not placing my vote there today.
LQ made a decent point about votato, but it isn't enough to override my view on that slot. Hope Anthony's replacement confirms before the deadline.

Sorry I didn't vote when I posted my last message, this is my first forum game and I honestly wasn't sure if voting before discussion about our thoughts was normal (I saw someone else use FoS without voting before so I wasn't sure). I was ready then and I'm ready now to L-1 Arthur for the reasons I posted before. Isn't it normal for people to claim when they get down to L-2/L-1? He just threw a tantrum.

You vote votato for his unvote and then throw more shade at him for pushing Anthony, which you say could have come from town!votato. The read based off of one unvote does not feel sincere at that stage, after which you proceed to fencesit. Votato's 380 was not good, because the continued refusal was what made brass look town to me. Neither of your meta reads are good. 461 and 462 just don't make sense.

It makes perfect sense to have some scum theatrics there since neither of you really had any traction to be eliminated.
