I like, intensely dislike the first post here as just being like too self-aware and jokey about not doing anything, and it’s compounded by the complaining about people having reads? Like I feel like the town response to people giving reads is “good there’s something to work with” not “slow down, chill out”. I think high energy gamestate a are overwhelmingly likely to benefit town and think being a little salty about that speaks more to approaching the game from a scum mindset

Plus they’ve like been around at different points but none of their content really engages with the gamestate at the time imo

I have a good sense of what some other players want to do. Saudade is almost death tunneling Kerset (but would also clearly vote for Osuka), and Bob is on Teacher (and defending Kerset given their Claim). Here’s the thing. Menalque’s push on Osuka has been loud, obnoxious, and way overconfident. Menalque is either correct, Town, and will be completely obvious tomorrow. Or, he will try and sleaze his way out of a bad situation if Osuka flips Town, and we will have to make a decision as to whether he is worth listening to anymore, is Town, or is just Scum and needs to go.

I am not trying to hide my culpability here btw if Osuka flips Town, I’m going to make that clear. But Menalque knows that he will be seen as centrally responsible for a bad push if he’s wrong. I know a small group of players that are happy to do this as Scum. But I have also seen so many overconfident Town players (that do not have above random reads) than I care to count to be completely certain that Osuka flipping Town means that Menalque is Scum.

this feels like anticipating a town flip and setting up for the next mislunch. i got that vibe from the start of the post even before andres explicitly starts pushing for menal after osu

miller and ascetic are probably negative town utility. ascetic might be neutral, but its certainly not positive. with a checker its for sure negative town utility. that means theres plenty of room for more PRs. the only actual claimed PR is doc, and i dont buy the claim.

You don't know how to make insightful NKA. We are talking here about saud, he is careless gamethrower. His existence was harmful to town and viging him would be worth it regardless of his alignment, so healing him was out of question. This guy misleads town to lynch his target regardless of circumstances to satisfy his ego. Hardclaimming bullshits is just one of throws typical for his behavior, he thinks that saying nonsense as town is 200IQ play, because thanks to his reputation he can get away with anything, once he rolls scum.
The most important information we got is scum lack of knowledge. Scum didn't know about his nature and took him seriously, which points at people with 2020 join date. Especially shelly, which periodically appears as more naive then she normally should be.

I have to be honest, the odds that we have a Vengeful Townie this game are like 1%. It doesn’t fit with an Informed Loyal Cop, a Scum Rolestopper, an Ascetic, and a Miller Town Checker. I think it’s way overpowered (since it’s essentially a Day Vig that negates the Scum Rolestopper, which would be insane in a game with a Cop).

Hot Take: the mafia rolestopper is disloyal.
There has to be a bit more town power, could fit with that.

Any game some makes a claim thats clearly not true, you can expect me to scum read them. If he had never made the claim informed townie full stop I doubt i would have ever tunneled him.

And if I was scum you can well bet your arse i would have kept my interactions to him to min. If i spot a town power role i near always town read them as scum and bumb them off in the night.

I feel you should be able to reason that the informed claim was a partial claim and not a full claim, considering you did during your nk spec.

Ok I think this will get me killed anyway since it will be interpreted as scum flailing but I think in the interest of making the gamestate clearer I will come clean so I can explain. The vengeful claim/soft thing was a long term gambit I did as a VT was to get hopefully nked or waste mafia actions on me to save a pr potentially and to garner reactions/interactions at a later time when needed to solve; I chose today.
I originally thought that the mafia had to have some sort of investigating role that they would have investigated me by now to learn that I was lying about vengeful/soft. If mafia knew I was lying, they'd push me like hell for townpoints. Mena explained how this is probably not the case.
Since mafia would believe I'm vengeful, they'd have to tread extremely careful around me so they don't get hit by venge shot. Ydrasse has not, so I think they are town. I already am confident in andres and mena town. I also think taylor is town since bussing bob here is weird. I don't think scum osuka would push me here either for that same reason as Ydrasse despite being in worse position.
Who has tread carefully around my slot? Bob (especially and I think tried to pocket a bit) , a little of taylor and shelly, and ndmath. I'm extremely certain that the 2 remaining scum are in those 4. I think it is bob and ndmath or shelly.

my scumread on plus is totally aside from the claim. but you might be right that the claim is the only relevant thing and it sorta clears plus. i dont know. im still not confident evaluating claims or setup spec/balance.
