okay, i have familiarity with taylor, pooky, plus, isis and n_m; i would say i have ~enjoyed~ isis and pooky the most in the things we've shared so far. i would have picked isis for my partner for this.

i was trying to show that they were familiar with eachother and their votes were odd. i wasn't hard casing them i was trying to get opinions from other people i townread at the time, which isis was one of. isis went with plusjoyed, who was one of the four options i was comfortable voting, so i also voted there. plusjoyed posted not super infrequently but almost none of them are attempting to communicate something game related, as far as i could tell. taylor swift and not mafia are null to me. plusjoyed slight mafia leaning and ydrasse's votes were weird and after i townread them for attempting to establish basic communication they kinda faded from the game in a way, which coincided with the votes on pooky, so this was also strange to me.

i'm gonna be real the initial thrill of like, getting someone to understand me during this game was the height of my enjoyment and after that i found myself like... not caring as much because i can only take so much of animal noises before i disengage some.

i mean dont read into any of my posts. without knowing what the stakes were i was just posting. there wasnt really any reasoning behind my votes. i could try to retroactively justify my posts and votes, but day 1 i voted someone for being a cat. day 2 it was just a random vote basically. on day 2 i felt particularly like there were no stakes since the people who got voted (me being one of them) didnt face any consequences. stating who we would have recruited is pointless because as scum we'd just lie. if anything i dont trust that scum doesnt benefit from this knowledge somehow.

i think i referenced this a few hours ago or if not i made it up in my mind and never posted it but i think that this apathy is understandable but i don't know if it should be townread.

the effort to try and communicate through very rudimentary means loses the charm after a certain point which leads to this (or the charm is never there, lmao) but it's... really easy to say this as either alignment. like, as easily as town can be like "meh" towards the entire concept scum is probably very happy with the limited communication and can write it off as the former.

that being said, there is probably enough meaningful meta/shared games/etc between people here to make assumptions about recruitment. like, i can say some off the wall stuff about recruiting loki despite never having played with them before that i remember, and people are definitely going to question it. scum can lie but also the lies are probably more obvious in this situation? at least if you're assuming that people are voting for fun/familiarity which i would have done personally; i dunno if anyone here has the urge to win that bad where they'd fake us out.

Nothing about his play suggested any kind of agenda whatsoever and it’s pretty damned obvious, that scum would be the only ones totally not playing blind.

isn't it a lot easier to fake a ~lack of agenda~ in a phase where there's limited communication though? from what i know of n_m i feel like he's just being Himself which i do not know if it is towny or scummy but i don't think that him just doing his own thing indicates much in the way of alignment so far.

my vote was essentially random. i did not have a good grasp on the game but didnt think there would be significant implications for the post-restriction stage of the game. i did assume there would be some mechanic for letting at least some players post, and wanted to get to that stage as quickly as possible. dunno why everyone sheeped me, but i had no real reason to unvote.

this makes me feel a little better about your ~apathy that i referenced in this catch up.

And overall, how much stock would you put into recruitable scumreads? Enough to scumread me, but didn’t mean anything to you yesterday to want to pick pooky over sheeping drusilla?

It's kind of a place to start and something to talk about but dayplay should end up greatly overriding it.

I’m just kind of frustrated that you are placing so much emphasis on the experience aspect of it, rather than looking at motivations and what makes sense. It pretty much holds no weight for me one way or another how much experience plusJOYED has or whether they’re an alt or not. Are they making sense? Yes or no? Do you find their overall take of the gamestate to be reflective of a townie or scummy mentality? That’s why I think what Ydrasse is doing far more useful.

i don't have any sort of experience playing w drusilla so i can't speak to the bop thing but the confidence that she's shown thus far has been offputting to me. i don't have a great amount of confidence in anyone anymore and seeing someone exhibit it feels weird because i can't make myself believe in anything that hard this game.

The used-to-be-tiger panics as he turns into a dolphin and starts flopping around in the empty and alarmingly water-free cage. This only lasts for a moment, as the floor of the cage opens up like sliding doors, plunging the dolphin into a clean pool of water. Meanwhile, a rat appears in the octopus's water tank. He squeaks in fear as he quickly realises he no longer owns any gills and is quite deep underwater. At the same time, a roaring dragon rises into the air, a collar around her neck displaying the name "Miso". Miso the Dragon RUMBLES and engulfs the tank with flames, evaporating just enough water such that it allows the rat to stand in the remaining shallow pool. He collects his breath and scampers up the side to safety. It is unclear whether this was a rescue mission or a failed assassination attempt on the dragon's part. Spoiler: [/spoiler]

PlusJOYED assumed that this was a setup where essentially the mafia are lovers and all the townies are also secret lovers and there is only one elimination, from among the gladiated players. Going off of that assumption,

if Pooky and I were both town, Hectic would end the game early and announce that it was a scum victory.

He would similarly need to end the game early and declare one faction the winner if Pooky and I were both scum, which could be viewed as a scumslip for plusJOYED not including that possibility for the sake of completion.

So he wasn't saying anything about the condemning process was guaranteed to offer a choice between a town and a scum, but that he thought the fact the game had not been concluded early indicated that it was a choice between a town and a scum.

so is plus assuming then that two town being nommed would end the game somehow??

if it's t/t it's kind of tempting to see who the mafia would choose to execute; i don't know if it would be telling, who they chose to kill? that is also a very dumb idea though in the event that it's t/s and we just get an axed townie.

while we have to elim inside of these two, would it be for the best to look outside of those two for a bit and see who is both scummy and could be paired together with isis/pooky? i don't know if this is the right way to use this term but looking for the highest scum equity with non-nommed people would give us the best odds, yeah?

it's also shitty when i want to vote outside of the current people nommed and i don't have a choice and other than how i suggested some time ago i don't have a good metric to choose which one to vote. and that metric is more subjective to wifom than other ones. so there's that.

i have a hard time reconciling the idea of 'random voting'/gimmick voting when there was some thought put into the game from taylor — they made an assumption about how the game would play out, had an idea of where they wanted the game to progress to, and then did something that went against that. a repetition of 'i'm not sure/i didn't put thought in' etc is shitty too, but moreso because taylor hasn't tried to do anything today, too, and we're running out of time. like, we have 1107 toying around with the idea of no-elim but that is something to bring up way before now to talk about.

like you, for example, are stumped. and you laid out pretty plainly before the flip that you thought i was town and that mafia was in n_m/taylor in 1072. i'm trying to figure out why you + drusilla were stumped and stripped of voting instead of just being confirmed but there's not a consensus read between any of you.

When did NM vote Isis? Immediately after I voted Pooky. Do you think that’s a complete coincidence? Because nobody wants to believe it’s NM, eventhough everything points to him and only him. Which is exactly why I keep screaming it’s a bad vote today because it makes 0 sense for either of us to be aligned and not confirm the other and I still for the life of don’t get how this isn’t beyond freaking obvious to either Drusilla or Kanna. The mental gymnastics necessary to go through to think either of us is a better vote than NM, completely blows my mind, so changed my mind about that future Dru paragon nom, because at least Tayl0r is being reasonable.

being unconfirmed just gives me horrible flashbacks to screaming that i am innocent for days only for solace to come at the very last second.

@ydrasse; wrt 1830, i don't think it's very likely scum bus like this when they're not in danger/there's no need to, and so comfortably too. it looks to me like pooky found something everyone else was pushing and wanted to take advantage of the situation

my point about the deadline hammer is that scum!taylor had no reason to not fake being afk and letting the timer run out. this would result in a no-lunch and scum can execute isis.

i think those 2 points are good enough for us to save taylor and kill everyone around her which would win the game if she's town. who do you think is scum rn? what do you think we should do?

the safest way to vote right now is n_m, probably; he was prodded but i dunno if we'll get much from him regardless. uh. from there i would be lying if i said i felt completely comfortable self-voting myself. i get the idea behind it especially from the eyes of the confirmed of the odds being better to vote here, but to me it's 33% across the board and i don't think that everything that's happened confirms taylor as town. loki is... being very stubborn though, about this, and i get it because i have the same frustrations of being in the unconfirmed pair and to me it also feels like we're being set up but it's very... aggressive right now.
