Shit. I think I just cast myself as Yosemite Sam.

This should not be interpreted as foreshadowing.

Actually, my response was for additional information on the wagon you were asking me to join. At EL-3, I’m disinclined to join flippantly.

No.

I also visited the gym. The prospect of bumping to 4 speed and having my action essentially refunded was too tempting :(

TEST SUBJECTS
(town) win when all
DOCTORS
are dead.

DOCTORS
(mafia) win when any of the following conditions are satisfied:
1) Their number is equal to or greater than the number of remaining
TEST SUBJECTS
at any point during the Day phase, or
2) The number of activated
LABS
is equal to or greater than the number of remaining
TEST SUBJECTS
, and the Voice (leader of the
DOCTORS
) is still alive, or
3) The number of activated
LABS
is strictly greater than the number of remaining
TEST SUBJECTS
.

HOW TO ACHIEVE WIN CONDITIONS:

Some combination of the following can be used to achieve win conditions:
  • Eliminate players with your vote.
  • Kill players by attacking them until any stat is reduced to 0.
  • Activate or Destroy
    LABS
    using Knowledge rolls.
Gamma's "revelation" was public knowledge, you knobs.

I don't know where the +1 knowledge came from.

This is not a great explanation!
Because it wasn't trying to be an explanation? You're all acting like Gamma gave you some sort of insider information about the game mechanics and therefore his word is golden but...all he did was reword some stuff that was already in the rules.

Did you
not
know that activating/destroying labs with Knowledge was a key mechanic? Hell, if I were scum I'd either sabotage the shit out of someone (like Nos) or use a +1 Knowledge to frame someone.

Further, we know from GeorgeBailey's N0 Knowledge boost that there are other methods of increasing that stat aside from the obvious one. It's entirely likely that there's a Town-aligned player with the ability to boost or reduce Knowledge scores too.
