1. I copy-pasted the list from page 1
2. I went through each player and divided them into TOWN NULL SCUM WHO? lists
3. I read the iso of everyone in WHO and tried to put them into TOWN or SCUM.
4. I read the iso of everyone in NULL and tried to put them in TOWN or SCUM.
5. I re-ordered all players within each category from town to scum. So, after this, the entire list is ordinal.
6. I posted the result.

Looker was NULL and then placed into SCUM in step 4. I placed him there because he posts and does not scumhunt. IIRC he's close to the null side of the SCUM section. He does have a post where he says something like "people are bored I think" (one of his last ones) which felt vaguely town, which accounts for the weaker read (not to mention that there's not much content, as you say).

I think most of the rationale for my reads should be pretty clear from reading my catch-up posts (with exceptions for a few players like Looker).

Having deep reads on 19 players just a few days into a 20-player large is extraordinary. For IKS to seemingly pick seven random players, and you able to come up with extended reads a little more than an hour later on all seven is, well, unusual. Now, one of the players was yourself, so it wasn't really extended reads on seven players, and IKS has since, coincidentally, also addressed my question (in 927 -- explaining how he came up with the list of players), but you have come up with an extended read of Bambi since. I find the whole effort commendable. I'm curious as to why you didn't just put those reads into your list to begin with?

Following up on my Galron vote:
When I read his ISO up to that point it's mostly just general game commentary or questions about why people are reading him. I don't see any real follow through or significant interest in figuring out alignments via his posts. And I don't see much change in his posting after that vote. Given no meta nor time to look it up it's possible there is a playstyle factor I'm unaware of, but lacking that my read boils down to "not scumhunting".

Here's the thing, you throw out an accusation like you only see posts from me about general game commentary and why people are reading me (of course you qualify it with "to that point" whatever that point is), and people believe that. You leave out my early scum read of IKS, my push on Iecerint, which was just as much a push on IKS as it was on Iecerint, my push on Walter, etc. That's why it was important to me to point out that what a2rudeboy said about me telling nono to vote IKS did not happen -- the more times a person says it, the more it's reinforced in the reader's mind -- because people don't check facts. I'm lazy that way myself.

I agree that short vs. long isn't an intrinsic dividing line on content. Content or not is substantially about whether a post advances the game state in some way or not. A short post that shows your read or seeks information to form a read is content. A long post that offers no insight or information on how to read people in this game isn't.

I'm not sure how to interpret "what's not being said" in an online and asynchronous context like a forum. When in-person and you can see someone is present (not just physically but mentally) then silence can be interpreted, perhaps as agreement or no opinion. But in this format, silence can just as easily be interpreted as absence or not paying attention.

Linking back to the other parts of this post that I didn't quote, I saw what seemed to be a high ratio of short posts which didn't seem to advance the game state. You are correct to say that this is a generic statement. I started writing this post and took an interrupt so I'll have to come back to that. At this point it's likely been an hour so who knows how many new posts there might be.

Not directed at me, but you could just as easily be running into confbias the way it's been in your head that they're partners the last couple of days. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but to explore your premise a bit, you are wiling to accept the possibility chk/NPOM could be TvT (2091), but not chk/pooky.

In fact, you go from having chk scum in 2087 and 2091 to Pooky pushing you a bit on it because he was questioning chk & IKS being of the same alignment and then Pooky's scum. You go from 2302 being a light defense of chk by pooky (2307) to chk/pooky making more sense than NPOM (2349) to it being most likely that chk and pooky are scum (2429 and 2430) and then you don't need a case, you just sit back on the "soft defense" of chk by pooky (2434). It's weird because you have a progression there, but it's not a progression based on substance, and you admit that it's not based on anything.

Then big double-take, NPOM slinks by and all of a sudden he's scum claimed and down goes your vote (2463 and 2470).

I believed CHK/NPOM to be very likely to be = in alignment. I believed Looker to very likely be the OTHER alignment. This made a lot more sense to me in the world where NPOM somehow=town. In the world where NPOM has gone back to being scum for being incapable of consistency in their posting I'm not sure WHAT I am doing with this, or really any of my other scum-reads any more, other than the fact that I don't like how we've completely ignored walter today.

Working theory (separate from the last post) is that DGB is 3P. Walter slot was acting 3P Day 1 and she didn't jump on it or even bat an eye. Her behavior has been different than what I've seen past games. The slip seems un-DGB like unless intentional.

Bambi's claim seems related to something that happened to multiple players N2 and is relatively verified (though it's not impossible that the action could be an omni-fruit vender). So far as I have experienced them, Baker's games are "bastard" in name only -- they're similar to ordinary Theme games on the site from the early 2010s. This is why I think the role is probably fabricated, rather than "the role that scumDGB has."

See this is why I asked about multiball a little bit ago. I was townreading Bambi for having a claim that seemed functionally similar to IKS’ role, and when DGB claimed similar (or more precisely, referred me to where she did, as while the claim was D1 I only acknowledged it today) I wondered if it could be possible for one of Bambi or DGB to be scum opposite to IKS. I think the things you noticed about how DGB reacted to IKS’ claim would make sense from an opposite scum, and the slip commentary still makes sense as opposite scum as well.

The role from the other site that Drew(?) linked to would be a "vanillaizer cop" on MS, and the mechanically right way to play it as town would be to check people who had said they were vanilla to begin with. I'd probably holster a role like that early game expecting there to be abundant PRs and use it like a regular cop shot after some vanilla had claimed. The way Galron has handled it feels like scum vanillaizer wanting to know how many PRs have been neutralized.

IMO there has never been any real attempt to push rude. Iec gets to S-1 and claims. People buy the claim and move on. THat's all good but the sudden appearance in shredding Rude was a u-turn I guess I wasn't ready for.
