So I watched a couple "Guess That Video Game" videos a few days ago and had this idea, the name uses that title but also takes some wording of a different thing entirely that I saw on another forum once. You describe a video game in the most cryptic/clever/funny/obscure way you can, and I attempt to guess which one you're talking about. You don't technically have to do video games, but to start with we'll stick with those, I may expand to TV shows and movies after this generates a good amount of activity.
Some ground rules/guidelines:
You may guess other people's submissions, but spoiler tag them so I don't see them before I make my guess.
Since there's a greater degree of interactivity, you may and are encouraged to say what the answer is after I submit my guess. Probably also put it in a spoiler so anyone playing along isn't spoiled.
Try to quote things you are responding to, as this thread will likely have a lot of crossed communication.
Here is a sample clue and answer for anyone wondering how to do this
Spoiler: The Answer
Pokemon Sword and Shield
We're falling through space, you and me, clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go...That's who I am.
Not the game I was thinking of. At least in later games in the series, you can be shot at in areas that aren't pavement - if that's true of the first, I'd say no. Guess again, or take the answer?
I'll take the answer, also gonna put out that I'll only really be taking one shot at each, though if I realize something before the answer is revealed I'll correct then

Street Fighter II. (Or pretty much any of the Street Fighter games, although I was specifically thinking of Dhalsim with regards to getting "fired", and I'm not sure which ones he's in, or if other characters use fire-based attacks.)
I was going for Minecraft — you colonise a new world each time, and the squared bit was meant to be a clue to the block-nature of the game. Idk if that was too obfuscated tho
I am also glad this didn't die, I was trying to come up with a good clue. I haven't yet but it's just a fun idea

"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"
Hollow Knight. Your character (the Knight), as well as the Hollow Knight and Vessels in general, are made into containers for Void, which appears liquid when intert. The 'true' ending involves defeating the Radiance, a god wreaking revenge on the Kingdom of Hallownest through dreams and the Infection. The difficult fights are self evident.
I picked this one because it's my favourite game and I saw a lot of "best indie game" discussions for that year being between Cuphead and Hollow Knight.
