This is Nero's town meta, so no on that.
I'll admit that I'm not absolutely sure Almost50's town but I do lean that way, too.

But, would listen on Norwee since that's not a slot I know well. :P
Mena scumreads me when i’m town every game so not the best place to look for advice on me.
mena scumreads me every game too so I know how you feel.
nero, correct me if I'm wrong here, but haven't we only ever played one game together?

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little self-voter? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Forum Academy, and I’ve been involved in secret raids on Mastina-Radiant Cowbell hydras, and I have over 300 confirmed misguillotines. I am trained in WIFOM and I’m the top OMGUSer in the entire mafiascum community. You are nothing to me but just another lolhammer. I will Preview-Edit you out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this website mark my words. You think you can get away with saying shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my network of alt-accounts across my computer and your name is being voted for right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your account. You’re fucking dead, newbie. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can modkill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my Menalque account. Not only am I extensively trained in ISO analysis, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the Semi-Experienced playerbase and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your ass off the face of this RVS, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your tongue. You didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn MyLo. I will IIoA all over you and you will drown in EBWOP. You’re fucking dead, superbowl9.

I slowly become meaner the better I am, I think

one of the best things I learned was to abandon good/optimal play (and how well/poorly people are playing) and think about why the player you're looking at is acting a certain way.. spending a huge amount of time empathising with how people are posting and trying to see ways in which they could be town has been working really well for me.

I think your experience catches up to you sometimes. Since you've experienced eras in site culture where policy was considered really important, I think you have a firmer stance about "good"/optimal play than quite a lot of us. Technically that's not a negative thing. But I can see why it could get in the way of read accuracy.

Some people still freeze up and make decisions based on who played "better" (or who they'd "rather lose to"), rather than who they think is scum. It happens at nearly all levels of play, I think. I can definitely see how human nature and instinct lends itself to reading people like that.

I am half asleep here so mayyy be rambling a bit. Sorry.

I think it would be hasty to call anyone strongly already, but I would agree that mastina is townpings

I think that if she’s scum then she’s mechanically hurting herself for a lot of towncred compensation, which is possible but it probably wouldn’t be my first step and I don’t think it would for that many other players if they rolled mafia either

You see, I came here from the ToS Forum Mafia section. For about a year I played Mafia on that forum, and by the end I was without a doubt the most skilled active player there. Eventually the disparity was so vast that I had to be banned to keep things fair for the rest of the players (officially it was for abrasiveness, as many of their players suffer from SSS and my personality conflicted with that).

Anyway, I always claim day one (and yes it was serious, for those that didn't understand that), and press others for their claims. I do this for the purpose of analyzing the behavior of others to determine if they are scum or town. Already I'm picking apart your posts and those of others for a level of analysis that is probably higher than you could comprehend.

So like

Mastina
Nero
Echo

{big null pile}

Ddl
Superbowl
Plus

Idk maybe morning mage should be slightly above that null pile but not sure yet, I saw a post I liked from morning where she was taking about past experience playing with me but I don’t really think it was NAI as scum her could be honestly analysing the differences in my play too

Oh and so can A50

This is a very weird gsme and I feel like I’m going to get insanely paranoid of my townreads later on if we don’t flip multiple scum early

Although maybe that would make it even worse if I didn’t then die, actually

So revised list

Mastina
Nero
Echo
Norwee
A50

Morning mage?

Yeah I saw that but couldn’t be bothered to go back to find exactly what the questions were

Mastina is just... well, she very much could be scum but if she *is* I’m not going to get her on D1, and she and I generally synergise pretty well, and I know she generally tries to avoid bussing meaning that if a whole bunch of scum end up in the bottom of her reads I can be more confident on later days. And then treating mastina as town at least for today gets me town!nero as I’m just trusting her there

Superbowl just seemed very empty in ISO when I skimmed there

Idk why there was a wagon on me but I would wager it had something to do with 99% of my content at that point being shitposting and copypasta

I liked these takes, old chum. Slightly harder to fake as scum.

Otherwise, I want to say your openwolfing is town-indicative, because in the 2 scumgames I've seen you in, I haven't seen it done (although those were alts so maybe different playstyle etcetc)

Any read on us? Don't you dare say we're null.

~Buttercup
Like, if this is the spectrum, you’re here-ish:

Conftown
Extreme town
Super town
Locktown
Strong townread
Townread
Very town
Weak townread
Strong townlean
Mostly town
Townlean
Weak townlean
Kinda town I guess
Null town
Null +
Nullish town
True Null - Ban Hydras
Scummy null
Null minus
Null scum
Sort of scummy
Weak scumlean
Scumlean
Mostly scummy
Strong scumlean
Weak scumread
Solidly scummy
Scumread
Strong scumread
Lockscum
Suuuper scummy
Extremely scum
Confscum

(Also I do openwolf as a wolf but mostly because I like doing it a lot as town and I’m cognisant or avoiding trust tells — up to you to decide how much I’m enjoying it rn)

If we vote one off then the next dies at night (and the last is possibly left unconfirmed depending on whether the hammer is a quickhammer or not) we used our vote to lose 2 confirmed town (and a 3 person masonary is likely going to be a material part of our prs).

If you are very confident on them being scum then hard push for them to reveal the third, then factor it in looking for interactions between the three of them to decide if they are all groupscum that claimed it rather than going 'I want to kill one now'. Sure, you didn't outright say you wanted to kill one right now so this could be your intention anyway, but it'd like you to spell out your thought process on it whether it is this or something else.
it's more a question of I'm not sure I'm confident enough in them collectively town to let scum bring all 3 of them to lylo by the end of the game and then have to decide if they are scum fake claiming together or genuinely miller masons. I'm undecided where I'm coming down on the question, but I don't think it's a horrible take to say that resolving that ambiguity and forcing scum to kill there (and not on other PRs) is a good thing to do earlier rather than later UNLESS there is a high level of consensus that this is definitely town/town-aligned 3p

I wholeheartedly believe that dragging days to the deadline doesn't actually help town that much with more information, ESPECIALLY on D1 and ESPECIALLY in fast moving games

what it does, imo, is inundate the thread with noise that makes it hard to find the important posts to find scum. plus, the added negative that it tends to lead to more town apathy with a lack of flips and action and endless back and forhts

I think it's much more pro-town on D1 to find a slot that seems scummy, run them up, get their flip and then proceed from there on D2 with the added benefit of being able to start looking at VCA and being able to use NKA

I normally agree but waiting here makes sense from your thought process no? We have the time to wait until almost-Lylo, in which case if you still think all 3 of us are scum gambiting you can elim one of us and head to lylo with a conftown.
the problem is that as lylo grows closer people become less willing to make clarifying policy Guillos and tend to feel more pressure to pursue their top SR

I don't think it's possible to lynch mafia d1 in a game this size unless most of them are afk
maybe not, but if so then you really might as well get the flip done and move on, no?

I really really don’t believe gamma’s “I have one proper scumread and it’s mena” in conjunction with the actual reasons he’s given for scumreading me when pressed on it, I think it’s made up to look like he’s hunting based on something he thought was pushable and that he’s scum

Menalque is in the scumread only section

Be honest, are you scum morning?
Was that the hidden metric u were using?

Why should I townread you, Mena? (´・ω・`)

I noted that you were less present and solvey than I was used to but that was like only for the first 24 hours -- pretty sure I saw a big ol readslist somewhere while I was reading.

i'm aware that you have a good scumgame and i haven't seen it yet. we need to get some mindmelding going before we form our townbloc. I just haven't felt the Gamma wagon click for me yet, he reminds me heavily of my previous games w/ him. A50 mentioned earlier that Gamma hasn't played to his scum meta or done his scum tell or whatever and DDL also shared the sentiment that he isn't any different from usual. Your response was to add them to the scumbin.

~Morning
N-no. I have, like, a whole bunch of ways to sort you and stuff!

Ehhh idk, I /probably/ wouldn’t be quite so obvscummy to draw attention to myself at the start of the game? But meh. I think I’m being fairly solvey but yeah, I don’t think there are great reasons to TR me yet. What do you think that means in relation to the people who are townreading me (like mastina, for instance)?

Also, yeah, don’t expect Full Mena(tm) this game — I’ve started a master’s and there have been some developments in my personal life since we last played and those are eating fairly significantly into my game budget. Plus I just played a scumgame and that generally leaves me a little burned out

What do you think about my point of gamma’s scumread on me not being really based on anything at all despite him presenting it as one of his more substantial reads? Do you think town!gamma really sees me shitposting about getting revenge for a game that happened well over a year ago (my second scumgame on site) and thinks that it’s a solid indicator of scum!me that I’m bragging about getting to misguillotine him now? Personally I think that’s significantly less competent than what I’d expect from gamma, and that divergence between what I think he would believe if he was being genuine and actually solving and engaging with posts vs what he’s saying he believes is why I think he’s scum.

Actually, untrue on the final two points — I called ddl out as possible scum very early on, and I’m townresding A50 and have been for a while

I’m not convinced. I think gamma is generally an intelligent player, I really struggle to see him looking at that post from me in good faith and thinking “yes, this is scum!mena bragging to thread for ??? (Purely ego?) reasons about how he can get my flip today”. I cannot see how gamma is seeing scum motivation there especially as when pressed he made it specifically about what I said AROUND my vote, not just about the vote itself.

And then when pressed on it (where, if he were town, I think he’d realise it’s not an alignment indicative thing for me to have done, maybe even slightly town indicative unless he thinks I’m exceptionally cheeky as scum) he doesn’t critically think about what it means for my alignment, he doubles down on I in a very weak way
