About leashing a vig, it absolutely works that way given a target. Yes it does tell scum “X player is likely to die” but the responses given during the day are invaluable. Both if the person is town and scum. Sometimes it’s as much about the shot as it is the threat of a second elimination at that point. Giving a group of people just lets scum breathe easy and they just never pick the scum out of it.

The Dagger

Each night, you may choose a player and reroll their slot. They will become their new role, but they will keep their previous wincon and any Private chats.

Omnipotent Apocalyptic-Mute Townie
At the beginning of the game, you are given all information about the setup, and who rolled what bypassing anything that would stop this.
Every night, you will be notified of any actions that people take.
If you talk, all town members will die. However, you may still submit votes.

Wolf Lunar Eclipse
Once per game during the Night, you may perform a Lunar Eclipse. All killing roles will kill twice if they chose to kill during the Lunar eclipse. Players who are targeted for death during a Lunar Eclipse will die no matter what. You cannot be stopped from performing a Lunar Eclipse.

Jester Apoclipse
Once per game at any time, you may summon the apoclipse. You along with 2 players of your choice are pitted against eachother, and the entire town must avoid lynching you. If you are lynched, everyone loses except you. If you are not lynched everyone immediately wins except for you.
You cannot summon the apoclipse until Day 3

Town Reflexive Doctor
You will kill anyone who visits you.

Mello
You are a Serial Killer. You appear to be aligned with the Mafia. You cannot die to the Mafia's attacks.

Jester
When this is rolled, roll another role in the GI thread. If you are lynched, you will appear as that role. That role is shown to you. You do not gain any special abilities from the 2nd role.
You win when you are lynched.

Town Traitor
You are Mafia aligned , and have access to the Mafia chat.
During N0, a town role is randonly rolled from the GI thread. You are given this role, along with any special powers that entail from it.
If you ever die, you will flip as the role PM sent to you, but the role color will appear mafia red.
You win when the mafia achieve their wincon.

Project Omega
You are a member of all anti-town groups, and you know all explicitly anti-town people that isn't in a chat with you.
You have a 1-shot plasma ray, which will obliterate both yourself and your target. Anyone who attempts to redirect or prevent this ability, or anyone who attempts to prevent your or your targets death will be obliterated as well (however, players attempting to save the players attempting to save will be unharmed, but unsuccessful.)
Anyone that is attacked as a result of this ability cannot ever be brought back to life, speak with the living players, or be prevented from dying.
You win if the town loses. Godspeed, Omega.

Woofer
You are a good lil pupper. As such, you will always be seen as aligned with whomever investigates you.
Whoever kills you will become hated. If you are lynched, no one may be lynched the next day.

Lunatic Cultist
Once per game, you may summon a Phantasm Dragon, which will target and kill one random town-aligned Power Role. If there are no town PRs, it will target a Vanilla Townie. If there are no town left, it will randomly kill one non-cultist.

Ancient Cultist
An ancient vision looms over the cult. Each night, it is revealed who visits any cultists.
If you die, a Phantasm dragon is summoned, which funtions identically as to how it does in Lunatic Cultist. The ancient vision also disappears.

Hellwolf
You survive any lynch against you. You cannot die by other means either. Your presense is sensed by those who visit you. You are not required to die for the non-wolf players to win.
You win with the wolves.

Gangsta
You appear to be aligned with the Mafia.
You know what roles the Mafia possesses, and what abilities (if any) they use on others, as well as results.
Each time your vote is on the wagon of a player that is lynched that day, you gain a hated modifier if they are Mafia, and loved if they are town, no change otherwise. Modifiers can stack, and cancel eachother out.
You win with the Town.

Rick Astley
In every post you make, you must include at least one link to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give you Up". Once every day, someone must confirm that they were Rick rolled. If either of these fail, you instantly die.
You win you survive, or if you died by means other than you failing your Post Restriction.

Unjesting Jesting Survivor
You win if you die.
You win if you get lynched.
You win if you survive until endgame.

Chaos Element
Each night, you may choose one of the following:
Give a player a Rod of Dissonance, a 1-shot use of your power.
Use your own Rod of Discord by targeting another player. You will be targeted by whatever they were targetted by that night instead of them. If you die, they recieve your Rod of Discord. The rod will transfer from player to player if they are Night Killed.
If a player who possesses the rod dies without a new owner, you will be revived and re-obtain your rod.
You win if you are alive at the end of the game.

Jack of every god damn trade
At any time, you may PM the mod a number corrosponding to a rolecard, along with the ability you would like to use, along with a target, if applicable. You may only do this once per day and once per night, and may only use a rolecard once.
Roll again to determine alignment and goal.

Lizzy
Lizzy starts in a random neighborhood or masonry, which may include scum chats.
If Lizzy is in a scumchat, their role will appear to be a vanilla version of whatever PT they are in. If they are in a masonry that reveals roles, they will appear to be a Mason Neighborizer.
Each night, they may choose to either add another player to the PT, poison a player within the PT, or hold a tea party, roleblocking everyone within the PT and killing anyone who is poisoned within the PT.
Lizzy's poison is unhealable.
Everyone who is added to the PT is poisoned, but their poison can be healed.
If Lizzy dies, everyone that they poisoned die with them.
Lizzy wins when they are the last one standing, but they may leave any players that do not require their death alive.

Loot Box
You don't know what you are! The moderator decides what your true alignment is, however you don't join any factional chats. Each night you may do the following:
Open a lootbox. A role is randed from the GI thread. You gain a 1-shot of it's ability for this cycle.
You cannot target yourself with any abilities that would inform you of your alignment.
You win if your alignment wins the game.

Vanilla Mafia
At night, you may perform the factional kill if no one else is. Assuming no interference, your target will die.
You win when the Mafia gain a controlling majority of the votes, with no possible way to lose the majority.

2 many damn words
At any time, you may PM the Mod with a guess if a players role. If it contains more words than your role, they will die.
You win when you have the most words in your role PM out of all players who are alive.

Macho Nacho
Each night, you may chip vend to anyone. This is identical to a fruit vend, but you choose a chip to send instead of a fruit.
You cannot be protocted.

Vanilla Townie

Neutral Extremophile Survivor
You cannot die, even by the hands of a modkill performed by a player.
The only exception to this is when the moderator performs a modkill for game integrity reasons.

Larsonist
You are a named Arsonist.

Cereal Killer
You are a named Serial Killer.

Unstoppable Force (70% chance of town, 30% chance of belonging to a random groupscum faction that otherwise exists in the setup, defaulting to Mafia if there is no moderator)
Every player with a protective action, or any form of protection from kills, including inability to visit, or redirection will have their role PM altered to state that you are able to bypass their protection. The same change is made to the description of any Inventions, rerolls, etc. that may introduce a killing action later in the game.
You cannot be prevented from visiting, full stop.
If you are town, 3 times per game during the night you may choose to target and kill a player.
If you are scum, you may perform a factional kill, even if your faction has no factional kill. Other members of your faction may not perform a factional kill if your faction would usually not have a factional kill.

FREE SPACE
Moderator, you may do anything with this role. This role is your canvas, your tabula rasa, do with it what you wish.

Light Yagami
You are a member of the Mafia.
At any time in the game, you may submit the name of a role and the name of a player. If that player has that role, they will immediately be strongman killed. They cannot be brought back. If they are brought back, they are immediately strongman killed again. This does not count as a visit. If a kill successfully goes through with this, the cause of death will be labeled as "Heart attack"
You cannot perform the factional kill, unless you are the last mafia member alive.

France
You have no win condition.
When you are targeted, you gain the winning condition of who targeted you. You lose any winning conditions that are impossible to achieve.
If you gain two conflicting winning conditions, you lose both of them.
You are alerted of any winning conditions you gain.

Alternate Mafia Goon
You are a member of the Alternate Mafia. As such, you have access to the factional kill.
You have no other abilities.
You win when the Alternate Mafia defeats all other teams, and gains parity with the town.

Alternate Cop
Each night, you may check a player. If they are member of the Alternate Mafia, you will receive "Guilty". If they are not, you will receive "Innocent". If prevented, you will receive "No Result."

Alternate Mafia Rerollblocker
You are a member of the Alternate Mafia.
You prevent any and all rerolls after you have been rolled.
At night, you may choose to either carry out the factional kill, or roleblock someone, preventing them from taking action this night.
You win when the Alternate Mafia defeats all other teams, and gains parity with the town.

NotAJumbleOfNumber's Bottom 8000
During N0, you may choose any of NotAJumbleOfNumber's roles, provided they are both in the first 8000 posts, and do not have "✓" in their title. You gain that rolecard, and discard this one.
Mod Note: This does not count as a reroll, nor a role change.

The Devilish Contractor
You start the game with 2 unnamed soul contracts.
If you are attacked at any time during a phase, you lose 1 soul contract at the end of the phase. If you have 0 soul contracts when attacked, you will instead die.
At any time, you may choose the next contract that will be lost if you are attacked. If you choose a player's contract, they will unavoidably die if you are attacked. If you haven't chosen the next player's contract to lose, you will instead lose one at random.
Once per day, you may strike up a contract with any living player. If they choose to accept, they become unkillable and you gain one contract.
During the night, you may choose to force a player into a contract, making them unkillable and gaining you one contract. They will be notified.
Alternatively, you may kill one player. If you target someone who you have a contract with, they will die and you will lose their contract.
You win when all Town members, Scum factions, and other Neutral Killers are dead.
Mod Note: The player that this role offers a contract to will not be notified of who this player is. They will instead receive either "A Devilish Contractor offers you a soul contract. Do you accept?" or "A Devilish Contractor tricked you into signing your soul away.", depending on whether this happens in the day or night.

Satan

Town Compulsive Reader with a Book of Mafiosi Secrets
At the start of the game, you are aligned with the Town. You possess a Book of Mafiosi Secrets.
If you are alive, during the night, you must read the contents of a book you possess. Reading is an active action and can be roleblocked, jailkept, or otherwise interfered with. It resolves after all other actions (except investigative actions that do not explicitly betray alignment); if any other actions have a similar priority, it should resolve after any actions that could possibly prevent this action from occurring; it should also resolve after any investigative actions that explicitly mark a player as "Mafia / not-Mafia" or "Town / not-Town".
If you read the Book of Mafiosi Secrets, you will become a Godfather, joining an existing Mafia faction if it already exists and creating a new Mafia otherwise. Doing this erases your previous alignment and role (if any).

Stop your rerolls
If anyone requires a reroll because of their role's mechanics, they instantly lose.
Survive until the end of the game.

The Butler
Each Night, you may choose to roleblock someone. They will be notified of this.
Alternatively, twice per game at night you may roleblock everyone targeting yourself. They will be notified.
Once per game during the day you may privately poison one player. They will die the following night, unless healed. If they were town, you will commit suicide the following night, unless you were converted the night they died, or they were healed.
You are roleblock and redirect immune, but will be notified if either happens to you.
If you are converted, you will convert into The Servant, and aligned with the faction that converted you.
You are aligned with the town.

The Servant
Each Night, you may choose to roleblock someone. They will be notified of this.
Alternatively, twice per game at night you may roleblock everyone targeting yourself. They will be notified. If you used this ability as The Butler, you lose charges of this ability dependent of how many times it was used.
You are roleblock and redirect immune, but will be notified if either happens to you.
If you were rolled from the thread, you immediately convert into The Butler. This is unstoppable.

Three times per game, you may use your brain scrambler. You can only use each power setting once.
Low Power - Roleblock or Redirect target player.
Medium Power - Vanillaize target player.
High Power - Kill target player.
If you target someone who was watched, in lieu of your name, they will recieve "An electric shock visited your taget last night."

Mafia Word-Vig
During the night, you may add one 5+ letter word to your list of banned words.
At any point in the game, you may quote a player to the mod and privately shoot them. If they said one of your banned words, they will be publically shot by an anonymous source, killing them. You may do this infinitely throughout the game.

The Librarian
Each night, you may hand out one book of your choice. The effects may be of your choosing, and unless stated otherwise, the receiver knows the effect of the book. The receiver also knows they can secretly return the book to you. If they do this, you may use the book.
In addition, you may steal a book from a player you have given a book to. If they no longer have the book, they commit suicide.
You win by passing out 3 books, and having 3 books returned.

Stop with your rerolls
Anyone who is required to reroll automatically becomes an Alien Goon.

Each night, you may choose to learn the name of one random member of the Cult. However, using this also guarantees the death of one random Town player (excluding yourself). It is possible to receive the name of the same cult player multiple times.

Serial Surgeon
During the night, you must choose one player to kill, and a different player to heal. Your heal prevents any death that doesn't explicitly say that it cannot be protected against.
When investigated, you will appear aligned with both the town and yourself.
You win when either the town wins, or when all factions other than yourself are dead.

Mini Townie
Your vote counts as 1/2 of a vote.
When being targetted, there's a 50% chance that the target fails.

Eldritch Demon
Anyone investigating you will receive a message saying that you are a frightening an evil Dark Demon.
Each night, you may cloak someone in darkness. They will be roleblocked, and will receive frightening visions of a random night action targeting them the next Night (if they weren't targeted the next Night, they will receive frightening visions of demons).

Each night you may attempt to save a player. If they don't need saving, they die. If they do need saving, there's a 75% chance they die anyway, and a 25% chance you heal them.

Alternate Lightning Mafia Rod
While you are charged with Mysterious energy, all visitors to you die. When someone visits you, you lose the energy.

noPick
You are removed from the game, as if you weren't playing.

Alien Role Informed
When the game begins, you are informed the post number of the lowest numbered role, and the highest numbered role.
Ex: if you rolled 476, and didn't roll anything posted earlier, they would be informed that 476 was rolled. If you rolled 6666, and didn't roll anything posted after, they would be informed that 6666 was rolled.

Bastard Cop
You are a named Alien Goon.

The Manipulator
You are Deathproof and Poisonproof, and investigate as Town for the first 3 days.
During the night, you may convert someone into The Hidden Blade. You cannot do this if you successfully performed this the night before, or if The Hidden Blade has 4 members.
Alternatively, you may determine if someone is mainly Investigative, Killing, Protective, Manipulative, Social, or Other. If they are more than one, you will determine them to be Other. You may only do this 3 times per game, and this carries between Manipulators.
Defeat the town faction, any opposing factions, and any neutrals that seek to do you harm.
If there is no Dagger, the next convert will automatically become a Dagger.

The Dagger
If there is no Manipulator and you are the original Dagger, you will become The Manipulator.
During the day, you may poison one player. They will be notified, and will die at the end of the night if they are not healed. You may only do this twice per game, and this carries between Daggers.
During the night, you may attack one player. They will die if your action is not interfered with.
Alternatively, you may attack two players. They will die if your action is not interfered with. You may only do this once per game, and this carries between Daggers.
Defeat the town faction, any opposing factions, and any neutrals that seek to do you harm.
If there are multiple Daggers, reroll one Dagger at random, and convert them into The Hidden Blade. If the Dagger dies, the oldest non-Manipulator Hidden Blade will become the Dagger. If there is no Manipulator, this becomes the Manipulator and a random Hidden Blade becomes the Dagger.

[Anti-Town faction] Announcer
At any point during the game, you may send a message in code tags to the moderator. They will post verbatim what it says in the tags, no more and no less.
Alignment chosen via Moderator's preffered method.

Hirsute Miller Alien
