it is possible that claiming blade or driver is in town's interest, as scum will know what each other are, and be able to co-ordinate. we cannot.

I think that depends on their read on you. Like, a driver shouldn't visit someone they scumread, because then they open the possibility the entire scumteam will know that they're a driver, regardless of whether they get chosen.

given some players can choose between driver and blade, I don't think that necessarily matters too much.

there are also probably scumdrivers who will visit townblades and screw with them

This isn't a normal mafia game and the setup is actually less easily navigable than I anticipated when I signed up...

This game has been a slog. I don't think too many people really know how to approach it yet. TSE made a dumb strategy post that outed him as scum Day 1. Midari made a post Day 1 to the effect of how many understand the rules/setup. That sounded townie to me at the time, and even though she's kind of scum claimed since then, I think that still may be one of the most honest posts of the game. Other than Hiraki's rant. If you look at that, he pretty much nailed the game dynamic at the time. And his ISO is essentially a mind meld with where I'm at. Now we have cakez scum reading four or five people, penguin saying he's okay lynching Midari but not voting there, and Manatee and candles, I don't really know what they're about. Enomis was honest enough to bail, and like I said before, I don't see scum repping out of a lurk party. Battle Mage, bless him, also honestly said he is having difficulty with the mechanic.

If y'all want to lynch Midari, fine, but I think cakez is the better candidate today.

This resonates with me. SirCakez you're right that this is not how I played in Jigsaw, however:

A. My play in Jigsaw single-handedly screwed up the entire game for the town, so it's hardly a meta I'm trying to re-create.
B. I'm not a complete try-hard in every game as town - my drive generally links to my level of engagement, and confidence in my reads.

I wonder if you're genuinely scumreading me based on that meta, or if you're trying to encourage me to play like I did in Jigsaw? The latter is tantamount to fishing in this game.

If I may give my two cents on the ordeal: If you read the OP it states that Blades will be able to see candidates who want to choose them, so wouldn't it be more beneficial for Drivers to be more tight-lipped? If I'm reading another thing correctly, Driver/Blades need each other in order for abilities to work, and I think scum would rather just kill Drivers not in their faction because then they cause force a town Blade into cooperation

Gamma is definitely an emotional player, but I agree with consensus that it's extra. The thing about Gamma is that his words usually come with emphasis. If he's getting heated it's usually for a decent reason, whether it be contesting someone on a read or having one of his own. Right now it seems directionless, and I think that's pretty true with the way he's been right now. His first post in RVS was a call against Dunn for claims etc then the last few posts were about what, people talking too much? Grr I'm mad at BM that's genuinely all I can remember. About BM, I didn't really townread him. I just find the way he plays to be brilliant personally, but Cakez reasons didn't seem too substantiated to me. Considering that Cakez apparently only played in BM scum games, it's a bit weird. I like that Cakez backed off though, but neither of them are really confident reads rn.

i can answer this. In chromavalon, i lurked as much as i could get away with. in the game he modded, i posted loads, was incredibly obnoxious and single-handedly led the town to a defeat. although i'm gonna partly blame his flavour deceiving me...

Look at my attitude towards Blitzo. Now imagine the same sort of attitude but based on much more negative experience with the player. Now consider that a scum PT is less avoidable than a neighborhood if you want to keep appraised of what’s going on and what the team plan is. Do you not think I would have already completely broken if my feelings are legit?
If you think me being scum with BM is possible, either you think I’m lying in which case you are despicable (this was the best I could put my feelings that didn’t err to light or harsh pls don’t hurt me mod), or you expect me to withstand a scum PT with the person I dislike the most in this playerlist.

The point is you were pushing something that is objectively valid but not a solid reason. Why the hell is the wagon speed on me indicative of me being scum? The in-practice aspect of what you say made sense, but the theoretical seems jacked up. Wouldn’t fast wagon = town wagonee more often than not? The resistance to my wagon is notoriously sparse.
But no, you overlook all of that because you wanted to press something I would have a hard time countering.

short answer is no, normally fast wagon on day 1 = scum wagonee. quick building and lack of opposition to a wagon in a situation like this is a good indicator it's more likely on scum.

About BM, I didn't really townread him. I just find the way he plays to be a little grating personally, but Cakez reasons didn't seem too substantiated to me. Considering that Cakez apparently only played in BM scum games, it's a bit weird. I like that Cakez backed off though, but neither of them are really confident reads rn.

Forgot to respond. Gamma/BM seems like a clear battle going on, what's your take on it?
