You have to factor in Titus' shot here, that was two townies down on a misfire. You also could've had the SK whiddle down some scum but that just didn't happen. The elimination process also favors town because you basically have two lims to decide from instead of just one that is immediately hammered.In post 3800, Dunnstral wrote:

What if Titus had shot scum? That'd be huge favor for town right at the start. The point of most PRs in town were self-resolving and clearing roles, while scum focused on self-defense. The SK/Indy was to develop swing between the two while playing to their own wincon.Protect yourself from the back of your mind- unwnd

I wish they did! This was a very mechanic game in the background and it seemed pretty ignored. I'm so used to not having that crutch, MathBlade. I kinda wanted this to be a difficult game for everyone and for people to consider the ramifications of night phases, but all the roles that could do anything to make it interesting either died or didn't really use their mechanics all too well.Protect yourself from the back of your mind- unwnd

Town was to unify during the day and then come together to figure out what scum could be doing during the night, with a red herring in the inventor role. Then you had the SK hiding amongst both of them, slowly picking at both sides.

Balancing indy in general like an SK can be really tricky, but I like adding an indy (max one, you can write this down for any setup I run) because they bring an interesting dynamic.
