why was esooa the scummy participant in the argument while koba was townie?

It was a read to try to get a policy elimination.

I'm not really sure why I did it either. I won't use reads to do that again, either in this game or in any future.

Also, yes, when a new person comes in, I revert a read to null. I feel like this is fairly-self-explanatory, but if not, I can explain.

I don't like how Jim recieved himself a wagon after his Cook town read, it's suspicious.

Jim very clearly said he couldn't see Cook as scum, but was open to hearing peoples cases. I think people realised they couldn't form a convincing case on Cook based on his unorthodox posting style. They noticed Jim wasn't buying into the potential mislim and scum didn't like people coming up with their own thoughts and opinions. The fact that the very next wagon was on Jim doesn't seem like just a coincidence to me.

DkKoba comes in drunk and places a vote for Polaris, says they want to elim Polaris the most out of everyone, then 5 posts later votes Jim without any explanation. No more than half an hour after, Jim is at -3.

What I don't get is why Cook decided to get on the Jim wagon after Jim was seemingly the only one to disagree with the Cook wagon.
The subsequent Jim vote on Cook seems very OMGUS.

I kinda want to keep who I think are the suspicious actors to myself for the time being.

Also, yeah, this is my first Town forum game. First-game scum is a good experience but it means that anything you do as newbtown immediately looks suspicious since there's nothing else to compare you to.

Fortunately, I have a lot of time on my hands and a lot of patience for this so I'll keep playing and trying I guess.

Agreed. This is what I was trying to get at in post 609. Make up your own mind on people instead of voting for players purely because someone else did. Show some independent thought, yo. Vote for who YOU think is suspicious, don't base it on what others think.

I just did an iso of Egix, and roughly half their posts seem like fluff to me. Feels a lot like they're doing just enough to look busy and avoid suspicion, trying to keep their nose clean. In my opinion they've been the least helpful player here so far.

You're more scummy than Geraintm because of how you went from voting Cook in RVS, clearly stating "this is scum", before giving him the benefit of the doubt and subsequently voting Esooa/Tris. You and Cook both then jumped onto the Polaris and Jim wagons before you finally decided that Cook was probs gonna be elimmed anyway and wanted to distance yourself from him so you re-voted for him.

I'd like to point out that Andre and Bugspray are the only remaining players who were onboard the Jim wagon, the alternate wagon to Cook on D1. The other 2 players on the Jim wagon (Tris and DjKobra) both flipped town. I highly doubt Cook was the only mafia member voting for Jim, and incidentally both Andre and Bugspray were also on the DjKobra wagon as well as mine. PoE says one of them must be scum.
