Anyone suggesting a committee or that votes should decide the shot is a scum candidate for me.

To whomever said that nobody was suggesting a shot by committee, go and read the posts. For me, there's too high a scum to town ratio for democracy to work well.

Never did I say that we shouldn't scumhunt and it's a huge misrep from whomever stated that's what I said. It's perfectly logical to trust a known town player over a group decision that's going to be do heavily scum influenced.

Ordinarily i'd be scumreading Cakez, but he's been so transparently misrepresenting me and tunnelling that i'm leaning misguided town. Although that's the same logic

Norfolk what did you think of STT's more recent post where they explained show they have an odd posting style?

It's a fair explaination, but doesn't affect my view on them. It's early days, but it just feels a bit too opportunistic for me to ignore.

Also do you have any townreads?

Nothing's changed in 9 posts. My only solid townread is Netflix and i'm leaning that you're town.

Ultimately, I don't mind being shot as it would clear all tbe gubbins around me up and we could move on, but I don't consider it a good trade for Netflix.

My town leanings are:

Imperium, based mainly on the interactions with Cakez and what I consider to be a parallel scenario with misreps.

Mush's application of logic is what I live for and I rate it highly.

Not Mafia is so reserved at the moment and based on my experience that's a little towntell.

Lotus was a little scumread for me earlier, but the back and forth with Duchess and the assessment in posts 437 and 439 have resonated with me. I like the theory and this comes across as genuine scumhunting.

I'm on the fence about Unwnd, Cakez and Dunnstral right now. I still feel that Cakez is just having a western and I don't think they're the right shot at the moment.

I wouldn't object to a Duchess or Wheme shot, both feel like they could flip scum.

Quiet Rockhopper isn't the gung ho town Rockhopper that I know.

And ScrewTheTells is my number 1 choice as previously mentioned.

I think there could be a scum in Duchess v Lotus but honestly their posts are so blah to me I just can't get a grasp on it at all.

Easily, the best shot right now is me. I'm probably the common denominator in most peoples scumreads, so it'll confirm my alignment and then any further discussion about me is over.

Personally, i'm shooting Duchess right now if I had the gun.

To answer your questions:

1.I played a handful of basic games on a wrestling forum 10 years ago. This is my 3rd game on this website.

2.Town, specifically VT. I struggle with the pressure that comes with a scum or power role and just prefer to be able to post unfiltered without stressing over what people will read into my posts.

3.I'm not going to share the tells that I look for, but I immediately scumread people who post something like

This, along with the other post of mine you quoted, is why meta is a load of old guff.

You've quoted a post from another game without the context. If you'd followed it to the end and read my next game you'd see that I was lying in the quoted post because I scumread the questioner and to disguise that I was a PR.

If you're going to try and mine for alignment telling stuff, you'll see that I bloody love playing scum or town PR. What you'll also see (as in this game) is that I find playing VT a little dull and thus don't engage as much. I accept responsibility for not fully understanding the set up and the implications of it, as it's contributed to me having the mindset that I can read the 4000 posts I missed in the day, post my opinions and then leave it because there are no consequences.

What's your previous experience with Rockhopper? Is it multiple games or just one?
Do you have anything that bothers you about Duchess other than what Lotus pointed out? What bothers you about Wheme?

Why is Not Mafia "reserved" instead of "lurkfucking"?

Could you rephrase your STT suspicion for me again? What are your opinions on Dunnstral - I know he hasn't posted a lot but what do you think of the positions that he's taken in the game thus far?

Just the one with Rock. I don't read games i'm not in, so that's my only reference.

With Duchess, post 403 is basically a scumclaim to me, just asking how they should play. Plus Lotus had a sensible case and turned out to be town.

Not Mafia, I suspect, is similar to me in that it's just not as much fun being vanilla.

STT is throwing spurious shade and bolting. They also have no consistency. They posted that they didn't strongly scumread me, then they made me their top scumread, then it was Mush.

Looking back at Dunnstral's posts, the STT hydra reveal pings me. If STT flips scum, Dunnstral is worth looking at.

My reads are generally terrible. I always believe in them, though and i'd do my best. Plus, it'd sort my alignment and narrow down people's scum pools.

Honestly, read what Not Mafia did to me in Large 231 and how I read it. That game is still ongoing, but the part i'm referencing is long since over.

Duchess asked the difference between a godfather and a goon. How does learning the difference between a godfather and a goon translate to "asking advice for how to play scum"?

You are correct that your fate is in one pair hands but, in my experience, you don't fool people by asking them what you're supposed to do to fool them but maybe that's just me?

If Duchess flips red (and i'm convinced they will), this confirms Imperium as town for me.

The next part of the solve from there is Cakez and STT.

I'm not feeling Not Mafia as scum. I'm sticking with the bored VT theory.

Peta/Imperium reads as a town and town discussion to me. Peta does make a good point about the Imperium's scum calling and I think it's well meaning scumhunting, but Imperium is town for me.

I'm still leaning town on Mush because I admire their approach and they are looking to make solves, although I am nervous of a last minute bus on Duchess (post 1283

It's also noteworthy that you'd try to push this more at this point. My theory is that this is an attempt to take the shot off of your buddy Duchess.

I think that you've tried to distance from each other by working Imperium from different angles. Duchess has tried to be pally and pocket, you've gone for good old fashioned scumcalling.

Post 1298 is trying to set up Imperium after Duchess is shot.

It's not working so you've gone after Not Mafia.

As for whoever scumread me based on low posting: i'm sorry, but i'm in the middle of a Covid situation that is national news in the UK. I'll catch up tonight.

For now, all i'll say is that from the moment I read Lotus' reasoning for Duchess being scum day 1, I liked it and backed it without deviation. I even pushed it and hit home what was going on with Duchess and Imperium (who is locktown for me). When presented with a choice of 2 people to be scum or be shot, I always went Duchess. Now, who posted things like "Duchess might be scum, but I think i'd shoot X right now". Because that's where scum are.
