got it, is this something that genuinely upset you last game? aren’t scum usually happy about someone being kind of anti-town and clogging the thread like that?
it did annoy me, yes. while they do benefit scum, i also don't want to read them.

There is one rule with Mastina's reads.

Take her read list, and start killing from towniest to scumiest in order.

You will win the game before you lose it, almost always. Without fail.
That's pretty unfair, maybe even scummy.

Mastina's read on me was wrong, she misinterpreted Scum vs. Scum for Town vs. Town with ABR vs. Xtoxm, but getting right 2 of the 4 scum, while probably beginner's luck  , is pretty good given how few people suspected Cephrir and hercule.
Can confirm this is a real opinion LLD has.

@hop posts directed at me

If you can't understand why I dont want the game to be filled with massive walls that dont say anything, I can't help you. This is self evident to me. I'm not interested in getting dragged into dunking on mastina more; I dont have a high opinion of her mafia skill level and that's all there is to it, and I am surprised this is such a controversial idea

I am leaning town on a50 right now based on comparing him to tenet. But I dont have much faith in my ability to read him.

I wonder if the best way to play this game is to throw last game in the trash. Scum will be hyper aware they'll be compared to how they played there. It is a bit useful for getting baselines on people I dont know (e.g. I know I may be predisposed to scumread winter flakes (alt of uncrowned) and should take disliking his posts with a grain of salt) but being visibly different might not actually be a scumtell for that reason.

Dont have anyone I'm especially excited about voting rn so i wont.

i'm still kinda waiting for stuff to happen. im not super convinced by the cases against you or IV right now. my gut feeling is that scum may not be posting much right now, because what i am seeing is largely decent, but who knows.

do you think A50 would hard lurk in team mafia after finishing a scum game where he lurked & having been active as town in part 1? this feels like it isn't super useful unless A50 hates scum to the extent he just won't play it
i feel like he's trying to be overly at east. the tone feels different/fit-in-ee
he might. i don't understand the guy.

In post 629, mastina wrote: In a game with the highest-caliber of players being scum, you're going to catch scum when their viewpoints contain 'little flaws', so to speak, and LLD's case against hercule is exactly that: it is flawed, in a way that, yes, is scum-indicative. The thought process doesn't fully track especially given this is TEAM Mafia. LLD has teammates who could fill her in on what they know of last game, and then there's also the ban announcements for last game for extra context there, and that's beyond the fact that last iteration of the game is a talking point in this game, meaning that checking out last game has some actual value to it.
this seems pretty silly. last game is barely relevant, and she is hardly the type of person who would think she needed to be filled in about it to play this game

We're not reading each other's games and we certainly aren't even talking in the team PT (or DC channel). I do harbour some suspicions of LLD (which I could buy independently), but you are now my biggest concern (I think you're the Scum team leader). I mist suspect Hopkirk & Oka Poka though.
My preliminary solve would be: Hopkirk, Winter Flakes, mastina, OkaPoka (not in any particular order)

Thank you for listening, Now I go back to doing my own thing. :P
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually don't hate this. I won't get to scumreading mastina for a while yet, though. I think I have a method of reading her later, or at least it worked once.

Also, the more A50 posts the more I think he's town, and since that read is inconvenient for scum as they would very much like him to be one of their miselims, I plan to sit on it for a bit.

i haven't liked his posts. i guess like, when i say "i don't hate this solve" i half mean "i expected a50 to gun for people i expressly disagree with gunning for" -
winter is a person of interest, he is playing better than last game where i saw him as a necessary miselim on my path to victory and he was just showing up to post terse nothings and i don't entirely know what to make of that yet.
hopkirk and you are both less fun this game. i want to give you time because, well, i like you and am hoping you'll be town and we can play together.
basically i guess you could say that whole list was scumleans for me right now but i'd rather vote someone who actually has votes on them?
i know this post was meandering and probably self contradictory.

that said ducky being not here for a few days was something i probably should have let stop me from voting him right now since it's not going to do much good.

It is. You're scum. Why do I need to convince you or your team of anything? Why should I take the time to have a long protracted nonsense conversation where you get to gum up the thread with minutia about how definitely I'm misunderstanding you and you're so town.

You are always going to say you're town.

I think you're scum and I'm not going to change that opinion by arguing it with you. If you're so town, prove it by actually doing something townie.
nah see we're not playing this game. it's clear you have no reason for fosing me (your initial fos was because of your #mastinaplay, and then later you seemed to justify it by just quoting a post of mine and saying it's bad), and so if you aren't going to engage, explain, or otherwise show signs of genuinely sorting my alignment then i'll just park my vote on you and that's that

does anyone reading this find this behavior to be towny from LLD? Open question to the table

what do you hate about it? is this rly what scumhunting on this site is, ppl just quote things and say "oh this post sucks" with no substantiation.
i mean, yes, sometimes that's what scumhunting on this site is, although i think your being annoyed at me for doing that is also scummy. >_>

i don't think it's a fair assessment of what's gone on. the statement "it's clear you have no reason for fosing me" is just untrue, and the whole post seems more like a cookie cutter post you'd make to discredit someone who's attacking you than it does a post that has anything to do with the actual gamestate we have right now. i also have a big pet peeve for the crowd-appealing thing, it's

But I'm willing to do it today if needed.
I may still be a fool, but I'm willing to move LLD to the TRs now. I don't think she doubles down in her own fate like this as Scum. She's a fierce fighter for survival.
Pay more attention to whether she actually follows through on it

let it be known i don't have any confident reads at this time but i felt like making this list to help myself sort where i'm at and also decided to post it for townie brownies

townleans in no particular order

mastina- ugh. this may change in later days as i feel i can read her better then
x- even amidst auro's posts, he has thoughts and appears to give a shit sometimes
dannflor- i thought his antivibe at the start of the game was +town on further thought. he's had a lot of analysis that felt real and i mostly agreed with. but he could be a deepwolf :3
jjh- just seems generally unworried about stuff
dunnstral- his posts from unvoting hercule to voting him again make my heart go pitter pat
a50- vibing

weaker townleans

IV- he's weirdposting for sure but it doesn't seem self conscious to me, quite the opposite. i am interested in how he responds to titus' post above though.
winter flakes- he seems to be in a better mood than last game, and i guess that could be a bad thing? but im finding his posts followable
LLD- i'm not going to try to explain this it's just how i feel right now and is very much subject to reevaluation

never mind, this actually isn't too many townreads, it just felt like it

meh pile

titus- hasn't done much yet but i'm not excited by her jumping in with colored vote counts and also not doing much with them
agar- can't remember much from him
oka- not a brilliant ball of light, sorry you set high standards
dgb- the only reason this isn't in my scum pile is because attacking LLD seems high risk low reward. but seems more agenda driven than last time.
ythan- i am willing to policy elim this dude as he seems to have no intention of being useful at any point

scum candidates

hopkirk- i want to vote him and i don't know why, i should reread this
the worst- i felt like his few posts didn't do much/were picking at stuff just to pick at stuff, but i am posting this without going back to look at them so this could make 0 sense
hercule- reaction to pressure is scummy imo, although yes i can see the flip side here.

what is so interesting about titus's post? i don't even know what she wants me to explain, maybe you can explain it to me like im 5?
uh hm

you should probably keep this out of the game unless your goal is toxicity

why wouldn't that be serious? what's the point of posting it if it didn't really happen when it so obviously has a high likelihood of setting off LLD and making the thread awful?

ok, i don't think you need an excuse to not give flopz' reads because you could easily just not post about him at all

i do partly agree with his second paragraph that posting that accomplishes nothing, and i also didn't enjoy the inflammatory element. i don't think i ever said "i 100% agree with a50's reasoning here" only that it was weird to be on the same side as him but ok

strangers passing on ships in the night would be a good way to describe mastina and myself. oil and water. in my experience she is the foremost expert on site in taking the maximum possible number of words to convey a simple idea, and it frustrates me because i perceive the expectation that i will read them as a disrespect for my time.

what do you mean by political plays?

love the paranoia ur giving off tbh.

I guess the question is whether she's trying to like, let you buy a townread with an LLD vote. It's hard to tell if that's really happening (unless I missed something) because her posts are so detached from the now that there's no real time interaction. I guess I would be surprised if she was, as town, doing something like you describe in order to get LLD dead, but I'm not sure I see that as having happened so far. i am, admittedly, skimming her posts.

In post 1333, OkaPoka wrote:in mastina's post she basically says she's marking me as a scumread now because im not presencing which i mean is fair i haven't been posting like last game

its just contextually and timing wise ~ i am suspicious. this is probably the best time to strike LLD and I feel like mastina is trying to get me into posting more and doing my thing and maybe displacing what LLD wants to do, and end up voting LLD

it feels very political and something I would do, im trying to parse if it actually is political and whether that actually means anything AI for her agh mastina please just respond to me ceph doesn't even read your posts
Know about that first part yeah. It is true that your presence has been muted but I'm seeing town in it now for one. And you're coming back.

I guess I dont think there's necessarily a causal connection between you posting more -> you voting LLD? I could see it as a method of distracting from the hercule wagon more easily since the probability of you doing that if your scumreads are random is higher.

I personally dont play that kind of 5d chess. I could imagine it from her though, I think she at least thinks of herself as a calculating planner type of scum player? So sorry if this stack of waffles doesnt help haha

mm okay... well. let me try to get some insight here: what do you think you did last game that you should have been caught for by someone who knows your meta?
i think maybe the constant vote changing was a scum maneuver from me. i also possibly cared more about what people thought of me.

also i think i was confident a few times because i knew none of the people who would catch me out on it are in team mafia.

a thing about mastina is that she is capable of producing this massive volume as scum

and also if you actually read her posts critically you'll realize they don't say anything (im legit amazed that people keep saying she has good reasons for things, lmao, you're just assuming there must have been a reason in there since there's so much text)

but she can't necessarily maintain the false conviction for days, so revisiting her later is the path

real talk im tired of talking about mastina and lld can we focus on something else and not just let the "warper" thing happen

i feel like we'll be in a worse position later if we let the whole game be about them and then they're elimed/nightkilled and we won't know up from down

Ceph, this is a large game, it's page 60, (total 200 pages if you add up the other game), let's not reach for smelling salts when a player gets wagon'ed.
It's a little different fmpov because the wagon is on an important player who is a huge asset as town (and thus who scum would love an excuse to get out of the way, which if she's town, is being merrily provided by you). And I don't see anyone assembling a serious counterwagon either.

You could definitely be right, sure. I'm starting to feel that's a stronger possibility, but it's still not based on anything LLD has posted.

If you don't want to do this, just say you're too lazy to, that's a valid answer. What do you dislike about my posts 1055 and 1572?

i was giving an example of part of the case that i didn't really care about, and you spent some time defending yourself from the accusation that you were waffling, so i'm noting that that means nothing to me since i don't think waffling is necessarily a scum trait

I explained how lld is different. There are no

This probably the best argument for Scum!LLD I have seen so far. It's not a
perfect
argument (because sometimes Scum try to avoid the prevailing wagon to saw confusion when the eliminated flips Town. Some of us will want to eliminate ON the wagon and some off it, but the popular argument would always be "Scum

In post 1708, hercule wrote:the case for scum!LLD, to me, is:

1. enters the thread with sole purpose of discrediting mastina and "eliminate players in inverse order of her preference"

2. then decides to back up this idea by saying just that my entrance was garbage

3. re-iterates that my entrance was garbage multiple times in order to get votes on me

4. rallies the thread to vote me, still with no evidence

(4.5?) big ego post about their scumgame

5. when i finally respond to her like, "ok, enough's enough let's talk" she's just like "nah lol you're caught scum"

6. when i'm like "ok well that's bullshit" she's like "lmaoooo such a scum reaction now my vote is, like, even more justified"

7. when a counterwagon forms on her, she AtEs and leaves the thread (also like, can't tell if she's mad that more people aren't voting me despite her not seeming to be sure or just mad that she's being voted)

i'm aware this is a slightly humorously uncharitable framing of her game but it also feels like a somewhat reasonable one
1 is definitely not a scumtell. 2 also sounds like a pretty ordinary thing to do. you are currently townreading mastina for doing 4, and 4.5 is something you also have done. 5 and 6 sound like what dgb is doing too. multiple people have already said they think 7 is town indicative.

most of this i don't really see as connected to a scum agenda either and you haven't really done so here -- you've only summarized events

yes, i am discrediting mastina a lot this game. just because the reasons are not apparent to you does not mean they don't exist. it should be apparent this is a longstanding real opinion.

once again we arrive at the idea that long paragraphs constitute evidence. this is only true if they actually say anything logical or useful.

is everyone obligated to fight wagons on them the way you feel they should, by reaching out to people?

and we don't have to, i just need you to understand that this isn't something coming from a scum agenda and i would be doing it regardless of the color of my role pm

i dont enjoy doing this but people see big blocks of text and become hypnotized without critically analyzing them for actual value and i'd like to win this game without just betting it all on a black box full of random chance.

Eh. I looked. There is a bit of an excess of posts that at least *boil down to* "I like x/I dislike x" with more words.

But there are also some posts that doesnt apply to. 1233, 1264 are a couple examples.

He's also doing analysis now, but you dont get full credit for turning on a dime when it's pointed out.
